I have to take Lopez out-- but I was hoping the thermometer just might go up a bit before I do-- It was minus 14 Celcius when I got up-
So, we got to Peterborough yesterday to a Hearing Clinic-- AND--after the wax is removed from Himself's one ear, they will pour something into each ear to make a mold-- He does not want the wires this time which used to go over his ear--and it might just be louder--He has some damage to parts of his ears-- Peterborough is VERY busy--kinda like Sudbury--Then we went to the Swiss Chalet--had a delicious lunch out--
So, the day was successful-- AND--to-day, I have to get my hair coloured --- after lunch--the roots-- more costly than back in Elliot-----but--I really don't give a Ratatootie !
And then I have a ballet class to go to---- NOT-!!!---LOLOLOL--- like--wouldn't that just be so much fun tho??-- They could call us the "The Lakefield Ballerinas"---- I would honestly die of laughter , if we really could take ballet--Can you just imagine how funny we would look--twirling etc-- but-- it would be fun for sure! Something to think about--A wee bit crazy can be good you know! But--Do we really give a RATATOOTIE??_ no--not really--eh?
So--Lopez and I are heading out into the elements--Lordy Be-- It IS cold out there! Frigid!!!!!
Lets just be happy--have fun to-day-- We might be getting "old" -----but we sure can be happy--and--we don't give a Ratatootie--do we?-
Good morning! It’s 11 in Ohio! Lots of birds at my feeder this week and a lot of snow. Enjoy your hair outing today. Maybe you can find another hairdresser after you get settled in that may be less expensive. You can ask around as you meet people where they get their hair done. Glad yesterday was productive with Himself and the ears. I took ballet as a small child and later was a majorette. I still twirl things around. LOL Some things never leave us. Have a wonderful day and stay warm. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI used to twirl a Baton also-- loved doing it so much!-- Good to hear from yu-=Lynda
DeleteOh, I think I remember that, now!
DeleteShort but sweet blog, sis! Love the memes and saved the last one.
ReplyDeleteGlad Himself had his ears cleaned. Hopefully these new hearing aids will work better AND be more comfortable.
It's only 3F here, too...very cold. It will warm up a bit later and in a day or two it will be ABOVE freezing. Can hardly wait!
Shared a post I saw yesterday on FB. it was, "Only 66 days 'til spring."
Not doing much today...well there is always straightening up, checking to see if anyone is using the laundry room, etc. I also plan to do my nails. Not fancy...just Hard as Nails Clear to protect them. They were breaking, splitting, etc. Now I am taking collagen gummies. They are much better.
Your hair bill be (always is) beautiful. I gave up coloring mine years ago. I have very little gray.
On to my routine, dear. Will check back here later. Enjoy your day! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Miss Maggie-- --Finally got to sleep last nite--took forever--I must stop questioning myself--Changes are hard eh??-- Snow falling today --light snow tho-- not as cold when it snows--Hugs Miss Maggie-- Another day--another dollar--- Lynda
DeleteI feel your cold. We’re @ -13F, and that’s not wind chill. BRrrrrr.
ReplyDeleteGlad DH made it through the ear mold process for new aides. Had that last week. Now . . . for the new aides!
Hope you have a good hair day!
NOPE don’t give a ratatootie! LOLOL! Dance like nobody’s looking, eat your pizza like someone’s going to eat yours! LOL Read that somewhere and it just made me laugh.

DeleteIt was cold here this morning, not your kind of cold but 5 degrees F.
ReplyDeleteIt will warm up to 18, but the main thing is the sun is out. I have the drapes open wide so I will actually be able to enjoy it from inside. I gave up coloring my hair when covid hit. I actually like my color now. I am glad Fred is feeling better and you seem to be enjoying your new home. Take care and keep up the blogs. I so love reading them, altho I don't always write something.
Your friend Bev.
Yu know Bev--good for yu to give up the colour on the hair-- It must be so much easier---- One day--one day-- (maybe) LOL Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, it's Kathy! I guess I just can't give a Ratatouille either! I lost the battle of the Summer. He signed up for 2 week long classes, one in July and one in August. Yes, I really believed I deserved having a summer without having to coordinate around the darn Art Center. But he chose them. In March he's going to a "Gala" - costing us $40 per person. This is in place of their annual Christmas Celebration - saying "thank you" to all the people who work tirelessly to make the Art Center a success. NOW they have to pay for the privilege - and they're making it an Art event! So people like me, if I were inclined to pay for the privilege, would have nothing to do anyway! And my dear husband is trying to tell me what a good opportunity this is!!! Seriously! They profess to be an "inclusive" environment, but they have just made their Gala "exclusive" to people who aren't Artists! I'm so sad that he always chooses them! I'm so happy you had a successful trip yesterday and a nice lunch. Oh how I miss going out for lunch! Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteOne day in the line! Love the "don't give a ratatootie!" theme! Ember says "hi" to Lopez, and I say, "enjoy your hair day!"
ReplyDeleteLopez would love to play with Ember--I know that--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: It's still pretty cold here too - still -11C in Toronto. Hard walking the dog especially since the sidewalks are icy. Too cold for the salt to work. I hate winter!! Like the memes today. Enjoy your trip to the hairdresser tomorrow. Glad your trip to Peterborough went OK. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteBrenda--Icey sidewalks here also--I have to wear my boots with cleats--I threw them in , in the last minute --Good thing!--- Be Careful-Lynda
DeleteI love your attitude! I'm 66, and I tend to cuss a lot, and say the F word rather a lot, particularly for emphasis. It makes me mad that whenever I do that around a few of the young guys at work, who swear all the time, they laugh when I say it. What's so funny? That I'm a woman? That they're 19 and maybe 25 and I'm what they consider "an old lady?" Or that I'm a hard worker, and very principled, and rather shy, while they sometimes goof off? I don't get it, but I don't like it! - Marti, who is old enough now to just not give a Ratatootie what I say, act like, or look like!
ReplyDeleteYu are pretty funny Marti--I swear a bit also--and what is wrong being an old Lady--??--LOL--Lynda
DeleteYay for lunch out and a successful trip!!!
ReplyDeleteThe SWISS CHALET--= always a winner when it comes to food--Lynda
DeleteIt's late but I'm just finishing up for the day and wanted to thank you for posting. LOVED the inserts. I laughed.
ReplyDeleteGlad the trip was successful and you had lunch out WAHOO
Hope hair day went well and all was OK with himself later in the day
Love and hugs from very, very cold St.Louis
Marge
