Good early morning--dark --- It is just after 6am here--Lopez and I are up--I have a hair appointment at 9am--so--I am up early here-- will crate Lopez when I go--Last night, Son#2 took Himself and I to the Red Lobster AGAIN for supper--That restaurant is in Peterborough which seems so busy to me-- I really do prefer it here in Lakefield--- smaller--quieter--just like a "Hallmark "Movie---
And --such good news --We got home--the phone rang, and it was Son #4--AND----He just wondered how we were doing-- It was so nice to hear from him--
I hear that Trump says the tariffs are supposed to come to Canada to-morrow-I have no idea what that means to Canadians---- I suppose it will affect us financially --who knows--I was not impressed with Trump yesterday , with his comments on that "AIR" disaster--Son#2 has flown thru that air space and always said it was a disaster waiting to happen--crowded air space maybe??? son #2 is leaving for Brazil this morning--
Remember -- just put one foot ahead of the other --and keep going--some days that is hard to do--
It is the beginning of a lovely day--- I hope to-day will be good for you -----We CAN make it that way-----
Good morning dear Lynda, Loved the inserts. I, too, will TRY for peace and understanding...and laughter...but it's early. LOL
ReplyDeleteI hope you get good results again today at hairdresser. If not, there are others with shops in their homes.
Red Lobster..yummy..Fred and pilot like that. Perhaps next time you can suggest going to the local RL as it's not as noisy etc. I'm sure your son wouldn't mind as he wants to please you guys.
No doubt your heart is happier as #4 called to check on you guys. I wonder if the 3 sons are part of your sadness about moving. Can't change them nor what they think. Would have been nice if they'd helped with chores and visited with their dad. Have to accept and move on.
I am sad about US/Canada and the state of the world. Praying for our leaders.
Could you go with Fred to Sr.Center exercise to mingle with local people? I'm sure there are lovely people there. It's not like you to be down, so getting out helping others is the cure. Gotta get out there.
Hugs dear lady.
Enjoy this day.
Marge/St.Louis
Marge--good idea to mix and mingle with the place Fred goes to exercise in--- Yes I was happy to hear from Tim--(son# 4)--- He is the youngest-----Matt gone t Brazil this week--We will miss him a lot--His wife was just down--brought home made soup-- -- It has been a good day -Lynda
DeleteHow wonderful that son #2 took you and Himself out to supper. So happy for y’all!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, too, that son #4 called to check on you and Himself. Absence makes the heart grow fonder? Sometimes it really does! Glad you heard from him.
You are definitely NOT alone in not only not being impressed, but I am downright EMBARASSED with DJT’s remarks about the air disaster. I just am appalled. Absolutely no brain filter what-so-ever. *SIGH* As for the tariffs, I pray that SOMEONE talks some sense into the man. That will be a disaster all ‘round! YES, son #2 the pilot is echoing what many pilots have said . . . the airspace in D.C. is and has been a disaster waiting to happen. Military helicopters do not operate on the same communication frequency as air traffic controllers use to communicate w/commercial pilots, so . . . that was a HUGE problem factored into the accident, besides being short air traffic controllers, and I’m sure, many other factors, too, like it being a night flight. Just a tragedy.
LOL! Yes, I’ll choose peace and tranquility, too, but . . . it’s still early and have only had one cup of coffee!
Hugs and blessings
Barb

PS good luck @ the hairdresser!
a huge tragedy-- I agree-- Matt always spoke of that airspace and how busy it was-- did not like flying thru there--but I had no idea it was so crowded--He did say it was an accident waiting to happen-- very sad--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I also choose Peace and Understanding! My DH and I have been going round and round about so many things. We will celebrate our 30th anniversary this summer and I really need some things to change - we need to take care of our home and our yard - and each other! So today we are resting from the discussions and trying to find ways we can enjoy each other! I make it a point not to listen to Trump because he is rather insensitive. It is really scary that the plane and helicopter crashed in air. I really hope the government does something to resolve this issue. And the tariffs - I think it's going to affect all of us financially. But I don't know why he would put them on Canadians - you all are our neighbors! I love Red Lobster but it's been years since we've been there! I also love that Son #2 is taking such good care of you both and that Son #4 called to see how you're doing! Children can be a blessing! Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteKathy--30 yrs is wonderful-- I think we are over 50 yrs and there are times I wonder how I hung in here--and there are times I feel blessed- Life can be hArd eh??--complicated-- Lynda
DeleteUnfortunately, can't disown the President even if he's as batty as George III of England was. We're stuck with him, he got elected. Sigh. I just hope that we survive his term.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you heard from son #4, and glad that son #2 is watching over you and Himself.
Hey Barb-- I know-- Trump is scary---- and yez, we get some weird ones tryig to run Canada also--LOl--I did like Harris--a lot-- Lynda
DeleteLucky you, sis! A dinner at Red Lobster...and you didn't invite me. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd you FINALLY heard from your other son. I knew you would eventually. He loves you. I am surprised Matt hasn't let him know you're alright. Maybe he just wasn't asked by your Elliot Lake sons.
I know your hair will be just fine. You will soon know which salon you want to continue with.
Quiet here today. Have laundry (my non emergency load), dishes, garbage and recycling.
Remember the saying 'keep on truckin"? That's what your 'just put one foot in front of the other' reminded me of. Saved that meme with the 2 ladies.
I'll be back later, dear, and maybe hear how you like your hair.
{{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Have had 3 doses of the antibiotic now, and am feeling better.
Oh good--Yu feel better--It is tough to be sick yu know-- kinda cold outside to-day-- Yes I will miss Matt-- 5 days he will be gone--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! Hope your Friday is fabulous! So nice you went to Red Lobster again! So caring of Matt. I don’t like the big towns, either. Hope your hair goes well. Yay! Son number 4 called to check in. Great! So foggy in Ohio. It rained all night. Yes, I listened to Trump about the air accident. I didn’t vote for him but he needs prayers! How was your day and your hair visit? Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe Hair went ok-- hard to get used to a new hair dresser -- sonb#2 off go Brazil to-day--We shall miss him--Lynda
DeleteYes, a new hairdresser is stressful. I know you will miss Matt. Hope his wife will be home.
DeleteLynda, the tariffs are charged to US! When we buy Canadian products! DILDO DON HURTS US! So many dummies knowing nothing, listened to his lies, not checking or READING Up on how the project 25 is meant to ruin us. His corrupt puppeteers run everything. Nazi lovers. I was born in Berlin, my dh also, our parents went thru hell, just to have cowards trying to run the us now!
ReplyDeleteI hope you like the new hairdresser. And so great you got to go to Red Lobster! I’m allergic to shell fish, can’t go there. Not safe. Take care of yourself.
The tariffs are charged everywhere ???Why??--- LOL-- I do not understand that--Why are there these Tariffs??-- I have read so much on the Nazis and the slaughter of the Jewish people-- so so terrible eh?/-- The world is quite scarey--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: The world is going crazy! I can't believe Trumps response about the air disaster. Shows how much the US is in trouble and he wants to make us part of it ?!?!. And groceries will go higher too. Glad you finally heard from son #4. Yes keep Lopez crated whenever you go out - safest thing to do. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe Trump is President-- The dog trainer comes tomorrow-- Lynda
