Love Yourself until you are Healed and Happy

It is about 6am--- a rain\snow mix falling outside--and I am creeping around here--tiptoe-ing around--- so not to wake up the "Herd"--who is Himself and Lopez--Our daughter made it home before dark--all the way to Medina, Ohio--  by herself-- 7 hrs, she said--  and got there before dark--She is so happy that we are closer to her now after all these years--as is Son #2, the Pilot--

I still question the move--Was it the right thing?--etc etc etc--(even tho I really believe it was )--- was a difficult thing to do--- but--here we are---so, one cannot go back--"just carry on nurse-"-LOL

I believe it is about 7am here  now--Lopez is still crated-altho I hear him squiggling around in his crate.

-and-----We will NOT be defeated --right??-----------So, what is on the agenda for to-day here?---

Hopefully Son#2 might hook up the printer--and I shall attempt to get our names on a Drs list in this area.(There seems to be a huge Doctor shortage in Canada right now!)- --AND -- (always an "AND"!)-always an endless list of groceries to pick up--plus walks for little Lopez----and get Son#2 to check the bank statement for me-----(  Seems we are operating  between 2 banks at the present time with me praying daily that all gets paid)----

I hope that you make to-day special--like you do everyday-----Sometimes when a day  is confusing, it is difficult to do--but---it's all in our head isn't it?---If we decide to be happy, no matter what--accept that all happens for a reason---I am sure your day will just be warm and fuzzy, even if you just woke up on another planet--

  4. So glad that DD made it home. Awesome that you are now closer to her, too.

YES, for heavens sake, the move was the right thing. #1 plus is Himself seems much better! THAT in itself is worth it. Son #2 and DIL are there and they HELP you. DD lives closer. All good things.

This is the beginning of a new year and you are going to get settled and it will be less hectic than living in the bush! ((HUGS)) and hang in there.

    Happy New year

  5. Happy New Year to you and yours sis.
It's way below freezing here and cloudy, but it isn't snowing or raining.
I saved that first meme to post on Saint Patrick's Day.
You did the right thing, Lynda! The move, I mean. It will be so much easier for you both. As Himself says, "No stairs." And that's not the only reason it is and will be easier. The banks and doctors will all get sorted out soon. Your son is a big help! You have great venues for shopping. Hmm...how about a vet. You did say someone cut Lopez's nails. A pet store lady?
I'm just gonna treat myself to some relaxation today. I will get a couple things done to prepare for our inspection Monday. I am not going to go overboard like I did last time, though. With all Lucky's hair, the vacuuming, dusting and floor washing has to be done at almost the last minute. He is worth it!
Your daughter drove straight through! I did that, too. Drove 7 1/2 hours from where I lived in Chicago here to Faribault, MN. It's exhausting, but doable. After a good night's sleep, she will be able to do it again soon. We have spring holidays coming up...or maybe she will come just because she loves and misses you.
Just take one step at a time, dear, and YES, decide to be happy. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  7. Happy New Year Lynda, Himself, Lopez and Sushi. Great news that your daughter arrived home safely. It may take a while for you to realize that you did the right thing. I think perhaps you're missing what was familiar to you, and the routine you had. That's okay, once you're completely settled in your new home, you can create a new routine involving less work. When the weather is right, you'll be able to push Himself in his wheelchair and you can enjoy new sights and sounds. God bless Son #2 for making the move happen.

  9. Happy New Year, Lynda! Today, since bf is here, all the Christmas decorations are being put away, and then there is cooking to do, pork tenderloin and sauerkraut, then the Ohio State/Oregon game on at 5 pm. 34 degrees here and very windy. There is also the outside decorations to be put away, also. Ugh! Some we may do tomorrow. I'm taking the day off tomorrow, even though we don't get it off. I'm part time and can do this.

    Well, here's to new beginnings!

  10. Hi Lynda, Happy, Healthy New Year to you, Fred and the fur kids.
YES Lynda, you did the right thing. The routine isn't in place yet...it will get there. Glad daughter arrived safely home and was a great help!! She loves your new place and you live closer now. With parents and brother right there, she'll likely come more often. Yay
The house will feel more like home...gotta give it time. You haven't been there long. The banking is a bit of a mess right now but it will get squared away. You'll find the Dr's you need....keep plugging away. Hopefully. Matt can get printer working and see what's up with bank statement. He and his wife have been a tremendous help. How comforting to have them close instead of a phone call. Not to worry, no looking back. The big house and grounds were killing you and costing a fortune. Onward.
Great inserts. Stay positive and strong. You can do it. It will all work out!!! Carry on 'nurse".
YOU are our inspiration. We support you and admire your strength, courage and determination. Love hearing from you.
Take a day off. Relax a bit.
    With love and big hugs

Stop second-guessing if you made the right move. YOU DID! Perhaps calm your mind when those thoughts pop up by playing the piano.

Looking forward to blogs about your discoveries in Lakefield.

  13. Hi Lynda: Happy New Years to you and Why are you still questioning if the move was the right thing to do. First of all, himself is better than he was and loves the apartment. And you're closer to son #2 and your daughter. Things will fall into place. The only concern of importance (in my thinking) is getting doctors arranged. Didn't your daughter also do something about getting you on some list? Love your inserts today. Relax a bit and stop second guessing yourself. Hugs Brenda

  14. You did the right thing, you know you did... but nothing stops our brains from doing that "second guessing" thing they do! LOL!

I'm up early today because I woke up, so I'm catching up on yesterday's blogs. Life goes on! Happy New Year!

  15. It's Kathy. I guess I missed yesterday. I have been feeling so lousy. Not sleeping, not eating. I just want to sit and stare off into space. Not sure where this darn bug came from but I hope it goes away soon. I'm sure you did the right thing - you sound so much happier and life will be so much easier. No more shoveling, no more weed wacking, no more mowing! Sounds like a great way to live!
