YOU CAN Do It---

Of course I am late posting--I was trying to organize Himself's trip to get his ears looked at  to-morrow---

I also, called a Lady who has moved here from Elliot Lake--She had all kinds of info for me--which I have been trying to look into---  Man oh man!--  When one moves, it sure helps if you talk to people who are living here already--she even knows a Woman who does hair out of her home--like I used to go to in Elliot lake-- and she also is going to see if her Dr. just might take us on as her patients-

-You see, there is a huge Dr shortage in Canada--  One has to be put on a list, and who knows when you will become patients of a Dr--but--if her Dr would help us, we would love that--

Did I tell you also, yesterday, they took all my recyclables--AGAIN--????--I was so happy-- ---It's quite a job to put the right thing in the proper bin--  There are 3 bins to choose from--and if he /they-see something in the wrong bin, your bin is left beside the road------Another wonderful thing that happened yesterday, "Heart to Home" meals arrived--and we tried a meal  from them, yesterday--They were OK--- not like a meal one prepares yourself--but--OK----so-- I also have a huge book on EASY MEALS TO COOK -=-=myself-

So, I am trying--but----  things still seem a tad complicated--Will that ever change?

It is cold outside--  It was minus 21 overnight--Horrible for sure!--  I am hoping this might be the last of that "Polar Vortex"-And I hear snow is in the near future when that "Polar" thing moves out--
Well, I could  BEHAVE myself---- It really could happen!

I have beautiful classical music playing in this room--I just leave it on all the time--  96.3 --all classical  beautiful music---It reminds me , of when I lived at home, in London, Ontario, when going to high school, and Dad used to put on , very loud -I might add--classical music , to get my older sister and I up, after a heavy date the night before--  Memories eh?---

Yes , to-day, I am going  to be sensible --AND behave myself--but , I really feel like I could just waltz around the room here with the music playing-----

So--- I hope that your day might be musical---  just find a classical station --and ---  waltz around the room-- It does make one feel special--The Blue Danube Waltz ---and you just might feel like you are in Vienna-=

  1. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. I'm so glad you found someone who can help you figure out what to do. It's good that you have a hairdresser who works out of her home. My mom had the same hairdresser for probably 40+ years. She worked at a shop but it wasn't too far for my mom to drive. That was really important to her. We finally have a day that's not freezing outside. It was 20 degrees when Daisy and I got up. She just went out for the 4th time because it's so nice outside! She needs the exercise. It's only going to be like this for a day or 2, then drop back below 0 - but that should only be a day! Yesterday I cleaned out my bathroom cupboard - so much stuff that just needed to be tossed out. I am now in cleaning out mode - let's hope I stay there! Have a lovely day!!

  2. Good afternoon, Lynda! How wonderful you talked to the lady that moved there and got such wonderful information. After you get the kinks worked out you will love it. The music on will help lift your spirits. Still very cold in Ohio, too! Last night Tommy was being a brat and we told him we were going to send him to doggie school with Lopez! LOL! Have a wonderful Wednesday. Hugs!

    2. Lynda, have you ever made a meal in a Crock Pot? Some meals are very easy to put together, and the crock pot does the rest. Maybe if you go to the bookstore and find something for easy meals made in a crock pot. You could make more than enough servings and freeze some to later heat up in your microwave. I use it to make soups. Glad you found a hairdresser who works out of her home. I'll bet her prices are more reasonable. Hope the doctor will take you and Fred.

  3. YES! Glad you found someone you could talk to for advice about what things to look into in your new area. Awesome.

Victory for you again w/the recyclables! Gooooooood job!

Something I’ve heard about the prepared meals is you can add some of your own seasonings or fresh ingredients to make it more your own. Might be worth considering.

Our polar vortex did move out . . . and snow moved in, but not a lot. I’ll take it!

LOVE classical music. Sooooo soothing. And that is needed right now!

Try to behave, but if you can’t (and I can’t!), have FUN!

    Hugs

  6. I was listening to "Tales from the Vienna Woods" on public radio while taking my recycles to the center this morning. Ember rode along. She drooled some, but she hasn't thrown up on a car trip in quite a while now. I am so grateful. I try to take her on these practice car rides pretty regularly now.

Our polar thing cleared out overnight, and 21*F above felt positively balmy after yesterday.

    2. Fingers crossed for the doctor. I hope they take you on as patients. It is so helpful to talk to people familiar with the area. I also agree that the crock pot would be great to prepare meals. I love mine.

  8. Hi Lynda, Marti here. Of all music that I HATE, it has to be classical music. Just had to go and tease you a little! But glad you enjoy it! Cold here too in Central Ohio. Supposed to start warming up starting tomorrow! 15 degrees today. -5 this morning.

    2. Hi Lynda, finally above freezing in St.Louis.
I'm so glad you spoke with the lady that could direct you to a hairdresser. I HOPE you can get in with her Dr.
      Classical music is soothing.
I didn't think the 'meals' would be great. You can likely get grocery store frozen dinners that taste just as good at less than half the price.
Hoping you get the meal situation settled, the Dr and the hairdresser.
Loved the chicken and the weiner dog LOL. Nah, i cant behave.
Stay warm and safe. Big hugs,, love to you.
Is Fred going to Sr. cente??

  9. Lynda, what a great blog!
You have made a new friend and helpmate in that lady you called from your old stomping ground! I hope the hair lady and doctor both work out.
Also hope your trip to see Himself's ear cleaning people works out.
It's warmer here, but cloudy. Very little wind and no precipitation. I don't keep track of polar vortexes, etc. Just check the weather on line, look out my window and see what's up. When I say 'warmer,' I mean it's over 0F by almost 20 degrees. Still below freezing, though.
About to go check the laundry room now. There's always that chore. I am glad that I have so many clothes...
Love that wiener meme! So cute! Gotta share that one for sure. Also the one with the chicken (rooster? It's hard to tell).
Will be gone for now...doing stuff. I will check again later.
Please, sis, continue to have a great day...it's all in our attitude. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  10. Hi Lynda: Ya it's getting a bit warmer this weekend. We have to recycle in the 3 bins too. It's such a pain! Have you ever used a crockpot? They are great for putting a meal together in the morning a letting it just cook all day. There are different brands and different sizes and they are great. And dinner will be ready when you want it. My neighbour tried Heart to Home a couple of times and she wasn't crazy about them. I don't know which ones she had and she is also pretty particular. Great about the person from Elliott contacting you and hopefully she can get her doctor to take you guys on snd you have a place to get your hair done. Things are coming together more!!
