Wake Up Affirmations----

I AM UP---and it is cold--minus something terrible, with a wicked wind--

About 6am------I carried the garbage down the parking lot hill--- to the road--the 2 recyclable bins , plus the plastic garbage bag---  Lord love a Duck! I hear if they   (The recyclable Police)- see the wrong things in the blue bins, they (the recycling Police) do NOT take it! --There is no  2nd chance for people new to this recycling thing---- they just leave the bins--full--(which is what will probably happen to my blue bins--)  I certainly will let you all know  if I pass the "recycle test"--

This morning seems VERY cold---with a strong wind-----Son #2 is in India and tells me how hot it is there--His flight was over 15 hrs long--So, in case someone asks you the temperature in Mumbai, India,  it is 30 degrees --with smoke--

                                                        He has already had breakfast---
He will not return  until Friday-

Yesterday I put our names on a list for an Opthamologist--and we are already on a list for a Doctor--Lists seem to be the new way to get a medical Doctor--plus---help for Himself in a Day Program---It seems everyone must be sitting on a list for whatever ---and hope and pray, eventually you will be home when someone calls you to accept whoever they find for  your help----but--- you have to hope and pray that you are still alive when that call comes!

I suppose we just have to hope and pray that eventually someone  REALLY__ WILL call ---

Yes, dance a little every morning and it helps us face all these new  realities--lists of  lists--- dancing will help for sure~as well as some affirmations to think about---like--_"I CAN CONQUER ANYTHING_" and "I AM AMAZING"-----Patience is a virtue in this day and age!

PS  --I just walked to the end of the driveway--- To pick up recycle bins --THEY TOOK ALL MY RECYCLABLES--HOLY COW!----I MUST"VE DONE IT RIGHT__They took my garbage bag also--Matt (Son#2)--- will be impressed--HOLY COW!   I DID IT!  UNBELIEVABLE!

  1. Hi Lynda, good morning from southern Canada, also known as St.Louis. Single digit temps and a foot of snow. My driveway is still snow covered as are the roads. I hate snow. No clue how you dealt with multiple feet of snow at lake UGH.

I think you'll ace the recycle test. Good luck.

Glad you got on ophthalmologist list, Dr list plus day care list. Progress. Hope you get calls soon.

Interesting looking food in India. 15 hours is a very long flight.

Day 3 trapped in here but I am tackling projects. I've got to cancel a couple of appts as I can't get out. Roads are horrible if you do get out. The banana supply is getting low LOL

Loved the positivity and affirmations. Thank you.
    Stay strong, positive and grateful.
    Love and hugs
    Marge/St.Louis

  2. That's great, Lynda, that you did it right! You do most things 'right.' Except, of course, for once in a while a 'senior moment.'
The Indian food looks good. Some kind of egg concoction?
You're doing well with your doctor lists. And there's a place for Himself to go to! That will be good for him to interact with other people, and, hopefully, have some fun.
The inspection did go well, I believe. Haven't heard from management yet, though. I know my apartment did well, but as for the building as a whole...that's what I don't know. Last January we failed the inspection. That's why we had to have another one in the middle of the year.
I have a grocery order to be delivered soon so I'll go for now and check back later.
That meme of affirmations? That's you....you amazing lady! {{{HUGS}}}, Love, your sis, Maggie

  3. Stay warm. Wicked cold here still, too. But the sun is out.

HOPE you pass the recycling test. I remember when we first moved here, ended up w/ THREE WEEKS of recyclables as I boo-boo’d. Learned fast after that! And look . . . they took your recyclables! AWESOME job!

Oh my gosh . . . could use some of Mumbai’s heat!

HOPE all works out w/the ophthalmologist and the Dr. I always leave a cell phone # as well as the home # when I’m on a Drs. list. That way can take the call

    HUGS and stay warm

    1. HI Barb-- They sure are fussy about the recycling--- 2 blue bins -- and 1 garbage clear bag--and if things are in the garbage that should be recycled they will not take it--I guess it is a good thing but a huge learning curve for me--LOL--Always good of yu to write---Hugs to yu-Lynda

  4. It's Kathy. I am not surprised that they took all your Recyclables - and that you did it right! Of course you did! Think about all the changes you have had to make over the past couple of months! You should be very impressed with yourself! Yes, I am trying to hard to rest but when the coughing starts I have to get up. It all seems to get better throughout the day and then not so good at night. But I'm on my 3rd day of medication and it seems to be getting better. Take care of yourself in those cold days. It's warmed up to about 9 degrees here but little Daisy isn't getting outside as often as she'd like. Thankfully her daddy is willing! I think I'll see if I can't take a little nap!

  6. Hi Lynda!!! Yayyy! Good job on those crazy recycables! You are good! Oh, that food is killing me. That naan looks delish and I think his entree is paneer! Yum! All is calm in Ohio with cold steady weather. It is 23 degrees but no snow, no wind. Hope you are having a lovely day. Hugs!

  7. Hi Lynda, you never give yourself credit for being the amazing woman that you are. You managed to take care of your large house, all the outside property, clearing snow, grocery shopping, getting Himself where he needed to go, and pause to write a blog, and then so much more. All of us would be so disappointed if the blogs ever stopped. Stay indoors because you can't afford to catch a cold. Play the piano today to celebrate your recycle victory. Maureen in California

  8. Oh, Matt's breakfast looks delicious, yum! I enjoy Indian food and especially the naan bread.

Hooray for you having all the bins collected!!!

We have cooler weather (you will laugh ... lows in 30'sF, highs in 50'sF). We woke up to rain, which was not predicted but welcome. And wind, of course ... it's the high desert, 22 miles an hour right now. Some of our surrounding mountains have gotten a little bit of snow; first of the season I believe.

    Happy Tuesday!!

  9. Howdy, Marti here. My bf took out the trash last night for me, but they didn't come today, must have had trouble starting the trucks. Oh well, bin is still sitting out there, I'm not gonna haul it back to the garage. Hopefully they come tomorrow.

  10. LOL! Lynda, I am not at all surprised you got it right! You are one smart cookie (as my mother used to say). Good job with the recycles!

It was cold here, today, too. Ember went to day care, and I think I'm going to make a regular thing of it. When we got there, another labrador was just arriving at the same time, and she got so excited seeing him! She came home all tired out... tired puppy is a good puppy, right?

Anyway, here's hoping for every day a little better, a little more at home, and for all those LISTS to be filled out well!

  11. Hi Lynda,
I knew you would do a good job w/that recycling. Our priest is from India. He will be leaving this Sunday and will be going there for vacation to visit his mom and other family members. I saw the food and wondered how son#2 likes it. Cold here still and all thru next week. Take care and stay warm. Bev
