Lots to think about--on bad days--

So late here to post--- but-- I am here now--  felt pretty sick this morning--but looking back--- I was out of blueberries for my cereal, this morning,  so I chopped up a  mushy blackish banana ---put it on top of my cereal---I will not do that again----  I felt sick shortly after eating the  mushy blackish banana--and it got worse as the morning progressed--   Someone asked me if it was COVID---  No--I just felt sickish--with  the bathroom runs--all gone now-- thank goodness---    So--DO NOT EAT BLACKISH MUSHY BANANAS, no matter what---

I went for groceries this afternoon--bought more blueberries--so, never again will I take my chances with an overripe banana--It's not worth the trouble it causes--AND---We had a light snowfall this morning--gone now--but the car was covered in snow--

Himself is going into Peterborough to-morrow to a hearing clinic---Son#2 is driving us there--  Remember--the cat chewed on one of his old hearing aids ??-- I was telling him that he must put the hearing aid holder with the hearing aids in it, in the frig every night--so that does not happen again--Hearing Aids are very costly and they are a problem too as his ears fill up with wax which covers his ear drum and makes the hearing aids not work--So-I have to admit that to-day, I did not feel great--kinda sad---wondered why on earth I even moved here-- Do you ever question your own actions??--We should NOT do that--I must read the memes below--  write them on my heart --go over them--and over them--

Let go of what's gone ---
Let stuff go-- Give it time

I must remember.......

On bad days, do what brings you joy--
Without bad days, there would not be good days--
NOTHNG IS PERMANENT-- always remember that--

I shall see you all in the morning--I guess life isn't about being happy ALL the time--  because without the bad days, there would not be good days--Lord love a uck! I never thought of that!

  1. Good evening, Lynda! So nice to see you! So sorry you were sick this morning. Glad it passed.I felt that way for a few days but still my tinnitus. Drives me insane. I think when we don’t feel well we also feel sad. I hope tomorrow is a much better day for you! Change is so hard! Maybe make a list of all the reasons you wanted to move and look at the list when you feel sad. Sending peace and joy your way. The yorkie looks like my little Tommy. Kloi is 9 today. Thank you for writing tonight. Sleep well. Hugs!

  2. Lynda, so sorry you had that experience with the banana! I have recipes that use overripe bananas...maybe yours had progressed to 'rotten.'
When you shop next, maybe you should get Immodium or the store brand of anti-diarreal to have on hand.
It wasn't completely fun here today, either. A former friend of mine (she's the one who called our friendship over with) died today. When the apartment manager brought her her meal (she qualified to get a lunch every week day...I don't), she was found. Evidently passed sometime last night. He we dog (an elderly chihuahua) was curled up by her. Luckily, a former housekeeper for her took the little dog...Cricket.
I had a grocery order delivered. It is just too cold to go our. It was bitter when I took my garbage and recyclables out.
I trust your shopping trip went well, and that Himself and the pets are fine, too.
Oh! BTW Blueberries are SUPER good for you! I get berries that are organic as they are on the list for having the most pesticides/fertilizers used on the. The list is published every year. It's the Clean Fifteen and the Dirty Dozen. My son says you don't need to be concerned if produce is organic or not unless you peel it.
I'll check in the morning to see if you had time to comment on this blog or yesterday's. Get a good night sleep! {{{HUGS}}}, your sis, Maggie

  3. Hi Lynda, I checked one final time to see if you had posted, and you had. I'm sorry that you're so sad about moving. I know the older we get, the harder it is to make major changes. I'm so sorry too that you were ill today because of the banana. There's is a point when an "over ripe" banana because too over ripe, and then it becomes toxic to the system as you learned the hard way. I am going to pray that you find a sense of peace in your new home in Lakefield. I know you feel what you feel, but maybe in time it will feel more like home. You've only been there about five weeks. Bless you Lynda.

  4. Hi Lynda,
So sorry about getting sick. It seems the banana had reached the rotten stage. Hopefully, you feel better now.
I'm sorry you are "down in the dumps" about the move. Your inserts are great and we can all review them when we're feeling sad. I pray you find peace about your choice. I understand your feelings as I felt the same after moving to another state. It takes time. I had to keep telling myself this was an adventure and I can't go back. Forward. Allow yourself to grieve and feel the feelings but remember feelings come and go. They are like planes lol.
    Hope today is better.
    Big hugs
    Marge/St.Louis

  7. So sorry that banana upset your tummy.

Glad son #2 is driving you and Himself and Lopez to the hearing appointment. Hope all goes well.

My Dad had that problem w/ear wax, too and wore hearing aides. Was constantly cleaning his ears for him. But the aides helped him a lot when there wasn’t a wax build up!

And hope you’re feeling better today. As for questioning your decision about moving, just think of ALL the help your DS and DIL have been to you, and that wouldn’t have been so readily available if you weren’t THERE where they live. He has been the biggest help to you and Himself. For just that alone, you definitely made the right decision. You’re still in the settling in stage, learning the ins and outs. Hang in there!

    Hugs and blessings

  8. You could move back, and rent or purchase a little place in your old town. There is nothing to prevent you from doing so; you have the funds and ability. But would you be happy there? Hugs.

  9. It's Kathy. I shut down well before you posted last night. Too bad, cause I could have used your wisdom! I really liked The 7 Rules of Life and I really needed to read that today!
