Good VERY cold morning--minus something horrible here--worse I see in Elliot Lake (which is quite far north of Lakefield-)-Allison says it is very cold in Ohio also--AND, son #2, the Pilot slept in Germany last night--returns home tomorrow-
-So, the wee fella in the picture below--Lopez-- well, I hired the trainer to begin a session with him, me, and her-- The Questionnaire sure showed me that I have --like--NEVER--- done any training with him--He does NOT know to "sit"--or "Stay"--He knows nothing--(except to bite me)-So, any help he gets will be better than what he knows now--which is NOTHING---and this first session seems affordable--
All our Shepherds went to "Doggie classes"--Why on earth did I think he could be different?--So, one more whole lot of stuff, to do--to help the little guy --AND---- THE "BLIND" people FINALLY called-- Hunter Douglas Blinds--- They are in--FINALLY--- We have waited 2 mos ----It might help to feel like this place is "HOME" if we had our windows covered- I feel like I know the people that live behind us here--and, I have never meant them----They have seen me in my night gown every night--- maybe even getting into my night gown-- When our patio door is covered (when ever that might be!)-I am going back and introduce myself-- They look like "seniors"--(kinda like us)-----
So, we got thru the "TRUMP" thing--without seeing the "Proud Boys"-- etc etc-- (Canadians do not ---like that kind of stuff --We are a fairly docile bunch of people)--
Son#2, the Pilot , slept in Germany last night--will return home here , to-morrow----Then I think he will be here for awhile-----
SO--- I guess life just rolls on--and on--and on---and we all must keep up-- and we do, do we not?--------because we are strong women--We support each other---
Good morning, Lynda! Yes, very cold in Ohio. I live 40 minutes or so from Allison. Ahh! Happy to hear that Lopez will have a trainer. It will be good! Can’t wait to see the progress he makes. I will send Tommy up. LOL! That will be nice to have Matt around for awhile. How exciting, the blinds are coming! You cracked me up about the back neighbors maybe seeing you put on your nightgown. LOL! You know, the worst thing about Trump is his half arrogance and half ignorance! Just smart low remarks about people. Just don’t see how he is going to pull off adding tariffs and be able to lower prices?? I would rather pay higher prices just not to deal with him! LOL!! Have a terrific Tuesday and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteOh, do I agree about Trump!
DeleteTrump mustve been a spoiled brat eh?--LOL--- He needs a good spanking--Lynda

ReplyDeleteWhy did yu remove it?--Lynda
DeleteNice to see you on here early, sis, and with such good news!
ReplyDeleteIt will be great having Matt home for a while. Maybe he can care for Himself while you are with the trainer.
And the blinds! You will be able to close them so you don't make the neighbors feel like getting it on!
It's cold here still, too. Our cold weather advisory is supposed to end in 8 minutes, but the high today will only be 8F (13.3C) Tomorrow it's supposed to be 30F (-1.11C)
I am waiting for a delivery order and Lucky wants to play before his nap. In other words, I am outa here for now and will be coming back later.
I trust the 4 of you will enjoy your day. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
I do hope that the neighbours had no binoculars--nice to cover tht door-- and even the front windows-- Cold eh?----kinda burns the face-- It was a good day--AND--THEY TOOK MY RECYCLABLES--- I think 3 weeks in a row now --Maggie -carry on there--Hope it weas a good day in your pArt of the world-Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I am so happy that you are going to have the trainer help you train little Lopez. I took Daisy to Doggie School when she was little. Now days, as an old woman, she pretty much just does what she wants to do but the training helped so much when she was younger. It is very cold here again today - many schools are closed. I decided not to go to the gym this morning, a very good decision! I'm very glad there were no issues with the Inauguration yesterday. I'm not totally happy with everything that Trump has already done but there are so many things I'm not too happy about! The plumber is scheduled to come on Friday! Finally!! Have a good day and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteGood for yu with the plumber there--hope it wasn't a pipe that burst-- Lynda
DeleteJust so you know, some US citizens don’t like Trump either. I don’t think he has one redeeming human quality and is a threat to the American way of life and to world order.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and I hope the training can help with Lopez. Small dogs can be difficult.
Yes small dogs--who think they are big dogs--kinda tough wee fellows-- still VERY cold outside--Lynda
DeleteYes, very cold morning here, too, and colder than it was yesterday. But tomorrow is promised to be better, but won’t count on it till I see it. LOL
ReplyDeleteGlad you’re getting training for Lopez. I think he’ll be happier, too. You know, you’ve been and still ARE so busy with Himself, and then the big more and now settling in. Why would you think of training??
Oh my dear, as a rule, I’d say we Americans ARE pretty docile, BUT the ridiculously rowdy ones took center stage w/the T.
LOVE it! We’re here to inspire the Shi* out of each other. BWAHAHAHA. We definitely ARE strong women!
So happy your blinds are coming. That definitely will make it feel more like you own space, your own home.
As for T and LOAGrandma’s comment, NOPE T is NOT going to be able to lower prices for ANYTHING w/tariffs. That’s kind of delusional thinking. ‘Nuff said! And do agree . . . would pay higher prices just not to have to deal w/him!
Sun is out! That’s a POSITIVE thing!
Stay warm. Train well w/Lopez.
Hugs and blessings
Barb
Barb I feel like yu--not a Tump fan but seems many people are-- --=Hopefully the"Tariffs" do not cost our lives more trouble--LOL-- Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda - I definitely can relate about having no window coverings….
ReplyDeletewhen we moved to our present home a year ago, it literally took months to get Plantation shutters ordered and installed. Seemed like I spent a lot of time creeping around in a robe OR bent over… not fun!
Good news for you and Lopez….he will learn because he’s smart and past the playful puppy stage. After all, he cannot continue to use his biting as a means of communication because he is NOT the boss, and biting the REAL boss (that’s you) is simply not OK!! I’m sure she has some advice or actions to teach you, as well. Good luck!
Eissa7 (Karen)
Karen I hope that yu are right-He is smart-- and the trainer seems kind and knowledgable-- -Hope yu are right-Lynda-
DeleteHi Lynda, colder than a well diggers butt (dad's expression) in St.Louis. it's 0 F something but with wind chills -15F something. Let's just call it ridiculously cold and be done.
ReplyDeleteWahoo...blinds are in. I laughed at neighbors seeing you in nightgown.
Hoping bull headed Lopez will learn sit, stay come, down etc. And especially learn YOU are the BOSS.
Matt home soon and for a while makes you 2 and his wife happy. Likely some adventures coming your way.
You mentioned a Sr.program for Doc that's close. Is he going? I hope he is and enjoying it.
Inspiring the shit out of each other LOL
AND instead of being bossy..told you have leadership skills..love it.
Americans are docile..but the news only talks about the radical ones. We are also "nice".
Great inserts. Stay warm and safe and strong. YOU are SMAZING
Sending big hugs, love and some heat lol
Marge/St.Louis
Yes--bull headed Lopez-- thinks he knows everything-- bad boy!
DeleteLynda
DeleteGood luck with the trainer. YOU are a large part of what the trainer is for. It’s like a parent. It should help, but too bad it’s starting late. Please don’t tell the dog he is a bad dog! That helps nothing. So glad the blinds have arrived. Privacy! Dildo Don wants to be like Uncle Adolf! Already making pronouncements as if he is special! He is insane, same as Uncle Adolf was, i was born in Berlin is how i know,! Stay warm up there!
ReplyDeleteOMG--Yu are so right--- never thought of him that way altho I do not like people so far out--- Hugs my friend-Lynda
DeleteCold in Nebraska, too. Woke up to minus 9, Fahrenheit, which my little app tells me is about -22.8C. Brrrr! But this is as cold as it's going to be this week, so, considering January temps of the past, not too terrible. Ember went to day care, and I went to my trainer, then I came home to vacuum and laundry, and moving furniture around. I went and picked up Ember at 3:15 p.m. and brought her home to supper and into her crate.
ReplyDeleteShe's so much happier when she gets activity with other humans and dogs. Every dog has his or her needs, and they can be different, every one. So I'm wishing you all the best with Lopez and the trainer. I think sometimes the smaller breeds get their training neglected because we thing we can "handle" them, but they need to learn the rules of living with humans, same as the bigger dogs do!
I know you'll do well!
so so trueBarb--I neglected him--thought I cud do it coz he is small--- I was so wrong-- Hugs Barb-Lynda
