--------------------------loves--forgives ---walks away--no matter what is thrown at her--and---Is that easy?--NOT ALWAYS--------NEVER give up------STOP worrying----------LOVE like crazy------
It is a new day and we are a part of it----We choose to act like we wish ----Is it easy on some days??--NO! Of course it's not----but------ I know that telling it how it is---speaking our truth------ENJOYING EVERY SECOND--------and our days will be good----I just feel that in my bones---
I must go out and clean the snow off the vehicle--sweep the snow from our door--Son #2 is heading to India to-day---He will be gone for about 4 days--a long trip there and back---Himself and I will miss him for sure--He does so much for us---I don't know how many times he has gone over the recycling with me-- You see everything goes in a different bin--and Heaven help us if we put a coffee pod in the wrong bin--LOL--plus, the garbage people might not take it-- I am getting better with it---but still stand over a bin, trying to decide which one takes plastic- -or--a can---and where on earth does the kitty litter go?
I may look for a cleaning woman--- The apartment is small--but, it might be a treat to have someone else-keep this place dusted-- if I can find the right person------
So----- I am counting on you all to enjoy your day--- Hopefully yu can BE HAPPY--'specially with these recycling bins -It is Sunday --- and we have sunshine--It can't gt better than that!---- Can it??--
For sure, sometimes the forgiveness that needs to be extended is HARD. But, we are strong, and DO it.
ReplyDeleteI remember when we first moved here to Wisconsin. I put something that was a no-no in the recycling bin and they wouldn’t take it. So, I had to take that load of recycling and put in in the garbage! I learned. Kept a list right by the cans of what was recyclable, what was garbage. You learn! LOL
Have my hand over my heart so I know my purpose. Thank you!
Hugs and blessings
Barb

Aww--love yer hand over yer heart---I guess I will learn about the recycling--- kinda hard--coz I have to really think--LOL--- Good to hear from yu Barb--HUgs-Lynda
DeleteI used to live in a place where you had to put garbage in clear bags so if you got something that should be recycled into your trash, the trash man could leave your garbage behind, like a badge of dishonor. So I "get" the angst over putting a recycle item in the wrong bin! LOL. We learn, though, don't we?
ReplyDeleteWe are rejoicing over snow here. It's been since last February that we had measurable snow here, and over the past day, we have it. Not as much as they originally predicted, but SNOW! Moisture is good when you live in farm country. For that matter, where is the world is it NOT farm country?
Hang in there during the days son #2 is away. Guess he has to earn a living, like most of us, huh? Hugs and warm thoughts to you and Himself... and all your scattered children and resident pets!
Oh yu are so good to relate to my recycling dilemma and--I am on my own now to try it for a few days-- His wife just returned from India and does not look good--looks tired--must be such a long trip--cold--wintery here ---WITH SNOW--- LOL--- Hot dogs for lunch here--LOL--- Lynda
DeleteGood morning, Lynda.
ReplyDeleteI'm just getting my morning routine accomplished. Part of it is checking for your blog.
Recycling here isn't too hard: plastic, cans and glass jars need to be rinsed out (they don't want food or other stuff, like detergent bottles in it). That stuff, clean paper, broken down boxes...goes in our blue bin. Other stuff goes in the garbage. Styrofoam is not recyclable.
I save pull tabs from pop cans, etc. When I give them to one of my karaoke friends, she turns them in to McDonald's. Evidently they are the heaviest part. McD's turns them in and uses the $ to give families and kids free services at Ronald McDonald's House.
I'm off already. When I return, it's vacuuming, dusting and then Bingo in our Community Room.
Tomorrow is our safety inspection.
Your son will be home before you know it.
When we're in the midst of hard times, we must think of the good times and the things we love. Call up those feelings of love and appreciation. It makes it easier. {{{HUGS}}}, Love, your sis, Maggie
Hey--YU got it right--the bins holding the proper stuff--Yes-=think positive thoughts-- I must vacuum this afternoon--just took Lopez up the hill--=Good luck with the inspection tomorrow--- Yu will pass with flying colours--We live in Lakefield -How far from yu??--- Lakefield is very close to Peterborough --Hugs--=Stay safe--Love yu --Lyndfa
DeleteGood morning Lynda, NOT sunny in St.Louis. We are having a marathon ice, sleet, snow storm through Monday.
ReplyDeleteGreat inserts. Gotta let go of hurts and move on as I learned that only hurts me if I keep thinking about it. The person who hurt me no doubt stopped thinking about me 30 seconds later lol. Onward.
4 days isnt long for son to be gone. Son will be back soon.
Can you put notes on containers so you can learn quicker what goes in what bin?
Very inspiring, positive inserts. Thank you for sharing. I so admire your positivity, strength and get r done attitude. Keep your spunk.
Love and hugs from southern Canada, also called St.Louis.
Marge
Oh Marge--Good to hear from yu--sunny but cold here-- Yes--Dont get upset when people hurt yu--They don't know yu--- --YU are a strong amazing woman--=NEVER forget that--=AND--I love yu--LOL--Lynda

Yes the aprtment does give up $$$ in the bank---I like that--- I donot like rtecycling but it makes Matt happy--LOL--Lynda
DeleteMarti here. I moved from a place that gave us a blue trash can and a regular one. I tried to recycle what I knew, and had a two car garage to keep both bins in. Here, we have to take our recycling to wherever has recycling containers. I now choose not to recycle. I wouldn't enjoy having to do all that you are doing, but I suppose it's important.
ReplyDeleteI hate recycling--so I understand yu choosing not to do it-- Hatrd--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. All our recycling goes in the same bin which makes it so much easier. Then they sort at the recycling center. They still only pick it up every other week - sometimes the recycling bin is fuller than the garbage! Well, usually it is! I finally broke down and contacted the doctor about my cold. Turns out it's a sinus infection. Today Tom went out and got me 2 prescriptions and something else that suppose to help me feel better soon. I hope so because not sleeping most of the night is taking it's toll. I'm on my way to lay down for a bit, see if I can catch up some. Keep your fingers crossed that the antibiotic will do it's job! Have a lovely day - oh, and I think it's a grand idea to have someone else come in to clean! Because I've been so sick, I haven't cleaned in awhile and it really bothers me! Maybe once this medication starts working!!!
ReplyDeletejust heard from son#2--His flight is AC46 --all the way to INDIA--- Long flight---Also just et up 2 Humidifiers in the apartment--Yes yu do need antibiotics --It will shorten that cold--REST--=Lynda
DeleteIt will probably take some time for you to get the recycling things sorted to the correct bin ... I think I remember you saying there was no recycling where you were for so many years. And for sure, you're not the only one that is having to get used to it. But after a bit it will get easier and easier. Our local service used to do the sorting, but we got smaller green bins recently, and only food waste and yard trimmings go into them. I'm still having to think about it, and have the chart posted in the kitchen so I can check as needed. :D
ReplyDeleteI hope Matt has a good trip. It's nice that he was home for so long and there to help you over the initial 'hump' of being in a new place and phase of life.
But I'm so excited for you -- I know it's not 'home' but it is your new home. Hopefully you'll have time to play your music, read your books, maybe try some some new things purely for enjoyment when Fred is at his day program. My dad played the trumpet in high school band, and was a fair singer. When he died, I found a newish clarinet and practice books ... he'd been teaching himself to play the clarinet!! It made me kind of happy.
I have found, over the years and through the moves, that I've left a bit of my heart each place. But, if I were to go back I'd miss where I am now.
Oh so good to hear that you are going thru what I am--Questioning everything--Was it right to move etc---Did yu move a lot??--- This hopefully will eventually feel like home--not yet tho--LOL--Lynda
DeleteBecause of my dad's employment, each time he was promoted we moved. A lot. Four grade schools, one junior high, two high schools. As a young adult I moved also ... service in the military, moving from one state to another to elude an abusive ex-husband, moving states again due to lay-off. While I've moved house, I have lived in my current area forty years. Moving frequently had it's sadnesses and benefits. I've experienced different cultures, have needed to be reslilient and self-sufficient, so am. But, I have only two friends of many years ... all those childhood friends were left behind and in 'those days' no free long distance or permission for children to be on the phone. Friends from young adulthood, a lot the same. Only shortly rooted friendships, which did not survive the long distance.
DeleteMy child and son-in-love wish to move to another area of the country, and if so I'll go with them. But who knows if they actually will. They both grew up here. I enjoy where I live, but would actually prefer somewhere that the summers were not so harsh. Time will tell.
I have learnt to find joy wherever I am; I work at it. Happy Monday.
Hi Lynda! Sunshine is the best! It makes our day much brighter. I bet the recycling is a lot to keep up with. I know you will miss Matt. Ask him to please send some indian food to Ohio! It’s my very favorite food on the planet. LOL A cleaning lady could be nice. Especially, in the Spring when you want to get out more. Hope you had a nice day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSon#2 almost there--He flew all night-- Lynda
DeleteLynda, put post it notes above each recycle can so you remember what goes in where..................then just check your note on the wall and post it notes don't leave sticky residue so no damage.
ReplyDeleteI put notes on the fridge because I forget to check the milk, etc.
Works for me....
I hope #2 has a good trip.
Darlene--Looks like he is almost there--Post it notes are good--I shall do that--Lynda
