A walk on the wild side!

This is the wee fella who is not ready to leave the nursery---AND -the reason I am late blogging-- because---he--did his business in the kitchen! We had 3 good days--and then-----this!--- Oh well!-And Himself also  had a bit of a "hissy fit"--- so--He is not going to leave the kitchen------No no no----  Lordy Be!---- I guess it is "that kind of day"--I suppose not everything can go smoothly--- and I shall hoof it to the highway and back very soon as it is mild and sunny outside and I need to feel that in my brain.

"Patience is a virtue", is what Mom used to say-------Not everything can go right---

Maybe  we all need to go somewhere-------These must be called, "Pandemic Days"---I shall walk to the mailbox and back---  (The mailbox is out by the highway!)-----

Yesterday I did drive the car in to have the wheels "Torqued"--I think that is the term!---  himself chose not to go with me and perhaps he has a bit of "too much stuck in the house" things going on in his brain---"A change is as good as a rest"--again is what Mom always said! ------

A short walk always clears my head--- and is good for some weight loss--I hope! ---  I hope you all have sun this morning---  I might even see some wild life!

  1. But "Mama" When ya gotta go..ya gotta go! Sweet wee Lopez. He's still just a baby. Give him time. And himself is getting old-er so ya gotta "take him with a grain of salt". My Mom used to say that. Enjoy your walk in the sunshine, it clears the mind. Sunny here to today.

  3. Just like potty training children . . . a bunch of good days and then an accident. Our house is quiet once again. . . our company for the weekend just headed home . . .I have been cooking all weekend and am exhausted despite loving to cook and enjoying when my sister and BIL visit.

  5. When you show pictures of sweet Lopez I figure it must be hard to be angry with him when he has an accident. It is a beautiful day here today also and felt so good to feel the sun when I was out earlier. Enjoy your day!

  6. Awwwww, have to agree, just like potty training a wee child. They'll have good days then bad days.

The bigger stressor to me would be . . . Himself and not knowing what to expect behavior/mood wise. It . . . is . . . not . . . easy. My Himself is only 69 but . . . he has his moments in the sun, too. Those are the times I take Miss Lilly and myself for a walk. Always helps!

  7. I agree, going for a walk is a great way to clear my head. And today Daisy and I added a little bit to the short path we've been taking - all without me experiencing any pain. First time in weeks! So I celebrate today! I hope Himself will settle down and not have so many highs and lows. That can't be easy on you!

Sorry Lopez backsliding. Sorry Fred isn't sounding too on board with Lopez. It will work out.
Yes, patience...with man and with little beast.
Have a great day. Enjoy the Sunshine!
Its really very nice in St.Louis. Supposed to reach 70 degrees today.
Have a peaceful day. Keep smiling 😃

  10. It is such a great sunny day. Good day to walk and clear your head since it's also warmer. Poor Lopez is still a baby - he will still have accidents. And with himself - it is what it is - and will be up & down. Take care of yourself.

  11. Hugs. Things will get better with Lopez and when they do himself won’t have as much to complain about. It was a beautiful day today so I hope you got to enjoy it. 👍🥰

  12. Lynda, I can tell you through my own experience, that if a person sits in the house for a long time, that becomes normal and then they don't want to go out! Try taking Fred out often, so he won't get into that rut and perhaps not have those 'hissy fits.'

Lopez - I hope he trains well for you. I got my first little Chihuahua at 6 weeks old and I swear to you, she was trained within two weeks. This wee little pup would sit at the door and stare at me, to let her out! The second Chihuahua was a different story - she never fully trained. Like people, they have different personalities, just make sure Lopez knows who's in charge!

My best to you and hugs to all of you.

  14. We had a mix of sun and clouds earlier, but it clouded up later this afternoon.

Your cartoon lady having 'what a day' looks like she's been Christmas shopping...or something.

Evidently, Lopez's internal clock was different than the schedule you set up. I wonder if he gave one of you a cue and you didn't catch it.

He will learn. At least he had toys, food, cuddles and assurance of your love.

    Let's make tomorrow a better day! {{{HUGS}}}

  15. Suppose the time change has affected Lopez? A friend's dog has been goofed up with it. Of course it does that to our bodies as well. Take care and I hope your walk helped to steady you.

  16. It is so very hard when dealing with the off times in older seniors. I am dealing with both mom and my hubby is starting to have some off days, nothing severe yet but I can see it in the future. I told him he has to wait his turn because I don't think I can deal with both of them at the same time. Huge hugs.

  17. The time change affects me so much. I couldn't spell well for a couple of nights and now by 5:00 pm it's dark already. It may be a long winter!
