Late blogging, but- "Yes, We have bananas!~"

 

I want to be happy----  We are so fortunate to live where we do---have vaccines---- 

I'm late posting , as I was grocery shopping--We needed bananas, plus plus plus! We have a wet snow falling--with the temperature hovering around zero--  kinda a messy day! 

The grocery store was crowded--and I see that the check outs are now herding people thru their cash, like we are a bunch of cattle!--  There seems to be no more "social distancing "----  Himself wanted to come with me--- so I was later than usual getting there. He sat in the car with Lopez.

This is only Tuesday---  Isn't that so nice?--We have a bit of the week , before the weekend! --The grocery stores were full of "stuff" for gifting , for Christmas--plus calendars--  I always load up on calendars, as I send one to each of my grown children, with everyone's Birthday , marked  in them--  That way they aren't calling me asking, "Who has a Birthday this week Mom?"  I was given a wee Birthday Book, when I was 7 yrs old, from my Dad and I still have it and keep it up to date. I have tried to buy these , but--there are not any to be found , and when I ask in a store, "Do you have a Birthday Book?" ---they always look at me funny!

So, lunch time, then shovel  time, after a wee nap----I like to shovel so Beau can come out with me , to play.---

The weight --- of me----  is still in the 180's--Lord love a duck! ----- --must be because of the above!--*S*

    We went to the grocery store yesterday, it doesn't seem to be that busy on Mondays. I am not looking forward to us getting snow.

    I noticed there's not much "social distancing" here either. I'm so glad we've got all three shots because our numbers are going up again. (sigh). We're still waiting for snow here in Denver, but nothing for another week or two.

    Hope to get our boosters tomorrow or Thursday afternoon. I miss eating bananas as I became allergic to them about 12 years ago. A few years ago a cousin sent us a box of jumbo Medjool organic dates for Christmas and we love them -- great source of fiber and potassium. We order in bulk as they keep one month at room temperature, six months in the frig and one year in the freezer.

    I have a daily minder book to keep track of birthdays, anniversaries, bills to be paid and appointments. Without it I would miss things as my memory isn't what it used to be. Enjoy your day!

    Glad himself and Lopez got out. I'm heading to the store next. Yes. Not much social distancing. I wear mask in store and crowds.
    Great idea to give kids calendars with important dates. You're a great mom. I had one of those BD books long ago too. I write dates in my apt. Calendar as I can't trust this memory.
    Don't overdue shoveling. Beau will enjoy being out. Keep the snow up there.

    So glad Himself went along for the ride to the store. Oh yes, all the Clods here in Texas, unmasked, keep reeking of Covid, so the rest of us have to stay home. Wouldn’t you know, you are stuck going inside there, too?

    I concur with others - not much social distancing anymore and we are also seeing more and more cases. My Brother in Law is hospitalized with a pretty severe case of Covid, mixed with respiratory failure and bad spots in his lungs. It doesn't look good. Of course, their family did not believe in the vaccine. No snow in Minneapolis, yet. And not really any on the way. I'm good with that!

    Social distancing isn't what it should be but masking is fairly good. Glad you got himself and Lopez out for a drive. And good Beau is getting out for some play time but take it easy with the shoveling!

    Great that your DH and Mr. Lopez went for a ride! I have all birthdays on a monthly/weekly planner.
