Life is Good--- Sometimes I forget!

We are blessed----and I am always stressed it seems--  Sometimes I am in bed, and I think, "You are as stiff as a Board"---- and I tell myself to, "calm down--relax-----  breath "-----I try to count my blessings---It didn't help to hear of the "Covid news" yesterday----To-day is another day however and the livestock who live with us, sure keep me so busy that I am happy to forget about a lot of that news for now.

Senior Lopez is sorta doing better with  doing his business outside-- Yesterday there was one mistake  in the front hall. He has grown--- it seems he is longer--heavier------I just cut Sushi's nails--Lord love a Duck!--  She jumped onto the bed last night, and come across Himself, to purr  on my chest, and her nails  felt terrible!--- So--Now, they are trimmed -- and then there is Beau, the German,( as in Shepherd) who is one big dog and extremely well behaved--  There are moments that I wonder why we ever  took Lopez  on, here in the cold winter of Northern Ontario.--Poor fella---The snow is over his belly--

I thank my lucky stars that we don't keep a cow around here , or I would be out there trying to remove him from the car hood for sure!

Son #2 the air Canada Pilot should be back in Toronto this afternoon--He was in Qatar---and said it was beautiful--he enjoyed the food there !

Himself is busy, putting together our outdoor tree for Christmas----  He hates doing that too!

AND----one more thing---  I am reading the best book ever!   "Where the Forest Meets The Stars"--  by Glendy  Vanderah------  It is such an extremely good read--different---  cute---  and takes one's mind off the world of woes! --

Always remember -----  Sometimes I forget---

  1. Life is indeed good! Even if we only remember for a bit, remembering it makes it true all over again, and fresh and new, while we're at it!

  2. Life really is good Lynda. I think that we sometimes 'overthink' things, causing ourselves more stress than need be.

Hugs to you, Fred & the furry pets.

You DO keep busy with your indoor livestock. I'm glad you don't have a cow. LOL
I hope Lopez gets straightened out once and for all. You really don't need any more work!
Glad you've got himself on a project. Keep his mind and body busy.
    Have a blessed day.

  6. What do you mean, “we” chose Lopez, You did not read up on his breed, it was your choice, now you “made your bed, and have to lie in it”, as your Mom would agree. Glad you were able to trim the cats nails, good job! You would have made a good vet!

  7. Lynda, I felt the same way you did yesterday hearing the news about the Omnicrom variant. What next, my brain asks? Well, none of us knows, so all the better to remain in this present moment, savor it, remember it, treasure it and appreciate it.

Wee Lopez will acclimate. And he is still growing, so who knows. Lord knows he won't be as tall as Beau, but . . . maybe his legs will grow enough that his little belly isn't being brushed by the snow.

    HUGS Blessings, stay well/stay safe.

  8. Have you considered getting one of those artificial grass patches to put in your garage for Lopez? That way he wouldn't have to go out in the snow for his business.

  9. Life is awesome as we make it. Yes there are a lot of things in the world that could drive us all nuts so I try to ignore what is going on in the world. If it is something horrible I do hear about it. Yes I heard there was another variant of the virus but since I can't do anything about that then what I am already doing I try to ignore it. For me if I sit and worry about it my life is miserable and I am sick and I don't like to live like that. I have enough health issues without added more stress to the mix. This is just is what I have found works for me. Am I perfect - NO!!! There are days I get to the end of the day and realized that I have caused myself a lot of excess stress that day. So I try better the next day.

You got Lopez for many reasons. 1. You have so much love to share that you needed a wee little one. 2. He has brought yes a lot of work but also some joy. 3. He has also provided you with some added exercise which is why you are losing weight. He keeps you busy so you are not eating!!!

Thanks for the suggestion on the book. I have it on reserve at my library. The last book you suggested was awesome so I am sure this is going to be the same way. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Have a great day

  11. Oh, I purchased that book and have it on my kindle! I've not "gotten to it" as I wondered if it might make me at all blue this close to the holidays. I put it at the top of my queue just now. :)

  12. Warm weather, 70's Fahrenheit on for this coming week here in Central Texas. I would not make it in the cold climates.

  14. I am always amazed that himself is doing as much as he is, my mom is younger than he and those things would put her in the hospital. He is pretty active! It is hard when you have anxiety to relax, my daughter has the same challenges. Huge hugs and prayers.

  15. Life is good as others have said. My mother might say why borrow trouble.
You got Lopez for a reason, he will be your companion when your "Himself" is gone. (((HUGS)))
