Live every moment--love everyday--and SMILE!

Happy Thanksgiving to all in the U.S.---  We watched the Macis Day Parade ---and I called our daughter in Ohio and am waiting to hear from Son#2  somewhere far away -- I hear that they landed about an hour ago--I think in Doha, Qatar -------  and I had to shovel this AM---  The above picture is pretty much what we look like this AM--- lotza snow fell overnight---

I took wee Lopez , the resident Chihuahua , who is a "going concern"  (Mom's expression)- out, -this morning, before shovelling, and , even in his wee parka, he just sat down and whimpered --poor guy eh?--The snow was really deep on him.  ----  But, with some encouragement, he did do his business----and as soon as I could, I shovelled a few pathways for him to walk in--chihuahua pathways!  Beau, the big Shepherd, as in "German" shepherd, absolutley loved the snow!

I phoned our neighbour down the road yesterday and he told me that he was grouchy--that in the past week, 7 of his friends had passed--and when I was at the hair dresser ----I heard of 3 prominent  people in town here  who are ill---I think it is my age--and their age---  that the older I am, the more  our friends  are passing to the great beyond-- I know it is a part of life but this pandemic is not helping!  When one is young, one is not exposed to this as much!----  maybe  I should adopt a feIw older people-- stop in to see them---make them feel important--some of these "older" folks, feel that because they  aren't feeling as useful as they once did, that they are worthless-- justa thought, -----as I approach my "older" age!

So, I try to  live every moment----love every day---as that precious time does slip away- play the piano---dance like there is no to-morrow---  hug the pets--- just be a little crazy---and even hug yer "Himself" -- Lord love a Duck! ---"Smiles" can be my friend! -

  1. What a winter wonderland, I miss seeing that when we lived in the mountains. When will the service p,ow for you? So you can go somewhere, if you need to go. Hopefully no more grocery shopping on a weekend. I hope your son contacts you soon. Have a good day, play some piano.

  2. We have snow on the way tonight . . . just the 1st snow we had though. Been so busy this past week I didn't even get to check your blogs and comment. I had to go to western NY and help my sisters get my 91 yr old Mom set up for Hospice care. A sad time for me and my family and I spent 5 days eating poorly so it shows on the scales when I got back home. Today is a new day and I control my diet . . .best foot forward.

  3. I had to smile when I read about pathways in the snow for Lopez because that's what my husband did for our wee Chihuahuas, they do hate the cold, Lynda. And they feel it more because they are so tiny.

You always get a lot of snow, which means more shoveling for you. That isn't great but all the white on the ground looks so beautiful, so pure.

Time goes fast, fast, faster as we get older so enjoy every second of it.
Hugs to you, Fred, Beau, Sushi & Lopez

  4. Please keep that snow up there. Pretty, but I don't want any.
I was afraid Lopez would rebel at the. Weather. Hope it doesn't bother his potty training.
Yes, life is short and we must treasure each day.
Blessings to you and your family.

  5. Poor little Lopez feels the same way about snow that I do😂😂‼️ It is important to be reminded to remember to do things you really enjoy every day as well as reach out more to friends and family ...while you can. Hope your Friday is wonderful, Lynda! ❤️ Eissa7

  6. I also try to live every moment but sometimes it's challenging. My brother-in-law is in the hospital with Covid and he's not getting any better. We keep praying but he'll have a good day and then slips back into something else. He's been returned to the ICU and has been put into a coma - I assume the doctors hope they can help him heal. Poor Lopez. Daisy is a lot bigger but she hates snow too. She'll go out and pretend to do her business - I have to tell her to go back and take care of what she needs to do. Doggies are funny little things~

  8. We don't have snow yet but I'm sure it is on it's way. Some days we don't enjoy it so I can imagine what Lopez is thinking when those tiny feet feel it. Keep warm and safe. Have a great day.

  10. Sorry to hear about the lost of so many friends. Yes we did get to an age when everyone seems to be dying.

I hope poor little wee Lopez learns to do his business fast outside and get back in ASAP. He must be really cold he is so small and they have no fur. BURR!!!

  11. I really miss hugs! Several of us close friends here hug each other, though. And yesterday I was able to hug one of my grand sons and daughter. I also miss salad bars and being able to buy just a handful of grapes or whatever instead of having to get a big package that you won't use.

    But we are lucky. Wherever we are it's better than being 6 feet under, that's for sure. That's an expression of an ex of mine. I don't believe that death is the end, however. It's just a transition to Spirit. {{{HUGS}}}

  12. Poor little Lopez and it's just beginning! At least he did his business. I hate the snow. We're supposed to get up to 5 cm. on Sunday but nowhere near what you get. Right now it's just cold. Sorry about all those that have passed. You've got it right about living every moment as we don't know how many more we will have as we get older.

    1. Seems this time of year can be a sad time for many people. One of my dearest friends died suddenly of a heart attack a few days ago and today another very dear friend with cancer was moved to Palliative Care for her few remaining days. Throughout the years my Mom, Dad and sister all passed away during Christmas season. Take good care of wee Lopez, don't want him catching cold.

  14. Wow, it looks so beautiful. So, Mr. Lopez has his own pathways shoveled by you. So funny! They are constantly shivering.
That's the attitude! To live every moment to the maximum while we can! Happy Saturday and a great weekend.

  15. Awwww, poor Lopez! I don't like snow, either!

Your last paragraph sums it up. Live, love, laugh! Life just goes by too fast!

So sorry for your neighbor. **SIGH**
