You think the Queen reads the blog???

I'm late  posting---  because the cupboards were becoming bare --no bananas either--so----I took Himself--AND LOPEZ in the cat crate--Lopez slept---and Himself waited in the vehicle---AND-----doncha jess love the above saying?----I do love to eat---and after this blog, I shall have lunch.

OK , I must tell you all that  the eye Dr., in Sudbury, at my request, has changed my eye drops  that I take for Glaucoma--well, she stopped the Cosopt and I'm now putting a new kind of drop in, with no preservative-- --one drop a day---  You see, I finally read the instructions on the Cosopt--and I finally found out that maybe I'm allergic to the preservative in them, as I have sores on my face that just will not heal--plus swollen and itchy eyes.----I wish I had read the instructions years ago.  Hopefully the new drops will still keep the pressure down in my eyes.  I guess they include instructions for a new medication for a reason!

When I returned home from the Pharmacy yesterday, Son#1 was sitting in the kitchen with Himself. He had his daughter with him who was playing with Lopez and Beau. That was so nice of him to come out to visit his Dad.  Himself was very happy to see him.

I met Brenda in the grocery store who asked about Himself. ----  I couldn't believe that she reads the daily blog!----That made me feel so good!--- --- Now if I could just get  more readers over to read about life in the wilds of Northern Ontario, with an "Elder Perspective"--in a Covid environment, with too many pets , ---- and from one who is afraid to eat out in restaurants right yet--- maybe after that 3rd booster---and --we just can't forget-__-that this  Lady  (ME!) ---who really hopes that the Queen will come over  to meet us all---

Well, a never know eh?-- Son #2  might  bring her here one of these days--Lord love a Duck!--Wouldn't it just make our day?

  1. Hope the new drops help with your Glaucoma, Lynda. I just had my drops changed for dry eyes as my eyes were very sore.

I always like to have bananas in my fruit bowl too, along with oranges, apples and a few grapes (grapes have too much sugar in them).

Everyone loves wee dogs and your grandchildren will love playing with Lopez. Always fun to come to your house.

I'd LOVE it if our Queen would visit you, just LOVE it!
    Hugs!!

  3. I think it's wonderful that your son visited with Himself. I think our children are busy and they forget that we need some social interaction too. I hope he gets more company. And how wonderful that you are getting a new prescription for eye drops! I love reading your blogs every day!

  5. If you could afford it, you should go over and get a look at the Queen yourself. That could happen….. Glad you got your groceries taken care of. We still don’t go into any store or restaurant here, in Texas. Can’t trust the local folks who come and go as they please, spitting and chewing.

  12. Sweet friend, IMHO one can never (well, almost never) have too many pets!

Great that your son and grand daughter visited.

I got lots of shopping done the last couple days, too. The worst for me is unloading it from the car, bringing it up to my third floor apartment and putting it all away! It's so rewarding though, when it's all done. Bet you feel the same.

It's great you met a friend who reads your blog, too.

    Yes, I read directions for new meds...but usually on the computer. {{{HUGS}}}}

    Life can be such fun.

  13. I, too, have Glaucoma. My eye Dr. did laser surgery to make a very tiny hole in each eye so they will drain properly. The problem is, now I have cataracts that are threatening to cover those holes. He told me I will be having surgery in 2022. Since I had the laser surgery I never had to use drops and for that I am grateful.
I pray that the new drops relieve the itching and swelling. It is no fun having irritated eyes. Have a great rest of your evening.

    1. Beth--I too had that surgery--and it helped with the glaucoma---but---I still was put on Cosopt---but--after a year or so, I seem to develop huge sores and itchy eyes from that medication--Now I am on a different one--only hope this new one controls the pressure--
