A New Beginning

I am late aren't I?---  It's because I looked at our bank statement  and it just was all wrong--  Have you ever tried to sort out all the "wrongness" from yer home?--  I began with our branch--It still didn't seem quite right--so I called the main branch--and I heard, "You are caller Number 11--"----  and you wait--and wait and wait-- SO FRUSTRATING--When I finally did get thru, it made sense  when it was explained to me-- but as soon as I hung up, it made no sense--so--I called our branch here in town- again--"--and again I heard, "You are caller No. 23"----

Finally I was told to come to our bank and sign some papers--and I still have questions-- --Lord love a Duck! --  What they are trying to tell me, and what I see, just doesn't add up-----  It has taken me ALL morning--

Have you ever had days which seem like you are going in circles?--

And-----  I ventured onto the scales this morning--182 --I weighed 182---  It's all the sweets in the easy chair after supper----Lordy Be!---  so-- I was on the Dreadmill this AM also-- I kinda knew  I had packed on a few pounds because the sciatica had returned---

This has been  a tough day-- LOL--"-Failure is a part of success-"-  I guess , now I know that that easy chair  --sitting there munching, is not good-- Sitting there with a bottle of water would be much better!

I heard also that people who keep hydrated, live longer. Did any of you hear that?----- So, it is time to "face the music"--face reality--There are NO LOW CALORIE L'INDOR Chocolates--

--So, Life goes on--" we live and learn"--but----as Mom used to say--Things are going to change-- ---

I believe I have been too kind to myself-- It is time to stand up and take action---  I think----

  1. Yep! I have definitely had days like you are having today! I get myself all in a tizzy and worry about whatever it is - and usually, all turns out well. I think I bring it on myself to have anxiety about things.....and I try to take care of everything! Life is so full of surprises. Let us just be thankful that we have our health and are able to use our brains to think how best to get thru these difficult days!

  2. Oh yes Lynda, I have those frustrations often. Trying to contact a company., any company is just the beginning. There is no customer service in today's world. Seems everything is on line ggrr. Hang in there.
Back to dreadmill and water.. know that you aren't alone. You can do it.

  3. OH no. It really is hard to deal w/statement mistakes from home. Hope that when you are able to go into the Bank it is clarified.

Don’t forget . . . with all the stress you are under w/Himself, the body releases Cortisol (you know . . . that fight or flight hormone) and that makes us gain weight.

Hope you have a peaceful day today!

  4. Lynda, every day is a new beginning!
I have two banks...one was for almost five years ago when I was still in Chicago. My bitty retirement check from IL state government goes there. I have a local credit union I use, too. That's where my social security check goes and my (again bitty) disability check from the Veterans Administration.
I have bill I pay online from one or the other accounts. Of course, my automatic deposits post on different days of the month. I have to check regularly for, for instance, the apps for my smart tv. When do they post? Which account are the payments going to come from?
Will I have enough $ in that account on that day? Do I need to transfer money from the other account, or am I just SOL?
Yes, it is difficult. Like a circus. Sometimes my head is spinning. Like now. I thought my SS check was going to post last Friday. NO! It's this Friday.
Never mind. Can't go out now anyway. Major snow storm happening. All day today, all night and tomorrow, too. Who knows when I will be able to go out again.
I am so ready for spring!
    Hope all five of you are doing well today. {{{HUGS}}}

  5. The scale hasn't been kind to me either. There are just too many sweets and treats around for the month of December. I must buckle down and get the extra pounds off even though it isn't easy. It is very annoying when you try and call a company now. They transfer you a few times and often when you are on hold the connection is broken and you have to start all over.
Take care and enjoy your day.

  6. Just getting back into the old routine, the extra weight goes away. No point in moaning and groaning. It is a natural thing, after the holidays going on and on the way they do. Boy, there really is no more customer service left though, you are darned tootin about that!

  8. I totally get your frustration...I balance my checkbooks(3) monthly and by golly they better balance to the penny too....I have a calendar and a ledger sheet.....everything we owe is on the ledger, so I know what will be in each account on each day.....my automatic pymts. come out the day after we get paid, then I pay almost everything online now because postage is 60 cents and now the middle of January will be going up AGAIN to 63 cents. No wonder the Post office is going broke, mismanagement.
I also gained a couple lbs back, too much eggnog I reckon. I am back
on plan. Threw all sweet stuff out.
    Hang in there.

  9. Customer service is practically non-existent these days. Hopefully someone can help you when you go in to the bank! Re the weight gain - that is very common this time of the year so don't beat yourself up. Stressors in life can cause weight gain and, you have had lots of those days recently. Play the piano and relax a little.
