Himself and I were going to go for bananas, but himself feels it's just too cold--so, I guess we shall go to-morrow and pick up just a few things---- At least when it is this cold, it does not snow----
Yesterday I cleaned up the drive --then shovelled some snow in the dog pen so Lopez can go there and it is sheltered somewhat.--- The neighbour is not coming-- the neighbour who I paid--Hopefully someone will help me out in the next storm---maybe-
It is a big driveway as yu can see-- and now, in January, it looks more like this-- (taken last winter!)-
Well, I am now reading , "The Spare"--Harry's troubles ---- and it is kinda interesting--The poor guy-- He said he never believed that his Mom died--always believed that she was hiding someplace and would return and get him and his brother. --so sad eh?--- And just to be known as "the Spare" is particularly sad-- That means, he was there in case , even if an organ failed on William, he was expected to hand over his healthy organ-- He said that never bothered him--just was raised knowing why he was born---so sad isn't it?----

Wow! That’s a terrible thing for Harry to have lived/ presently live with! Good for him doing what he has to do to make his life and his wife and kids’ better for them.
Love that meme . . . you just never who you will meet when you leave the house. LOL May as well dress nicely, just in case! LOL

It's really cold when Lopez refuses to go outside and I'm glad you listen to him, Lynda. These wee dogs aren't meant to go out in our cold winters.
ReplyDeleteYou sure do have a big driveway to clear and if you've paid that neighbour to do it, you need to get your money back. Not nice of him, when he knows it's up to you to do it all.
I go by F when it comes to weather and it was around 12F outdoors when I got up. But we've had full sun all day and oh my, does that help to make the cold bearable for those out in it.
Lazy day for me, it started with my son bringing & putting away my groceries then we sat and had the Tim Horton coffee and Timbits that he brought with him and had a visit. He's a good son. I'm just going to vacuum now and that's it for today.

Lopez says nope...too cold. If it hurts you to breathe its too cold to be out there.

That driveway is HUGE. It would probably take me 3 days to get it cleared. You really must be WONDER WOMAN.
The little dachshund that belongs to the girls I pet sit for is the same as Lopez. When I go to let the dogs out...he will not budge from his warm bed and blankets. The other dog...bigger...is fine. I can't say as I blame the little ones.
I have my new tv and firestick. Lots to watch tonight. No fever or nausea today, so I am better.

Brrrr! It's really quite nice here, 45F (that would be 7.2 above, C). But I'm sure we'll get more storms, as that's the way of weather. Tomorrow they are saying still mild, but the storm blowing in overnight Sunday to Monday.

ReplyDeleteHopefully you can get your money back from the inconsiderate neighbour and offer it to the other guy and his son who helped the other day for them to help again. You sure have a big driveway - too big for you to do it all! Poor Lopez - he has done very good until now so he deserves a break! Hope it's warmer tomorrow - here too -way too cold today. ReplyDeleteI can't believe the size of your driveway. You really do need to have some help. If you paid the neighbor for the winter you will have to call or send him a letter and request your money back. It is strange that he said yes in the first place. Take care and stay warm.
