Everyday is a chance to make changes--

Someone hacked into my PC account--took points--40,000 points-- I could not reach the PC people until this AM--The PC people, guaranteed I'd get the points back, but they recommended I change my email account number also--Whoever took the points, is in TORONTO-- a different card # than mine--but--they still got the points-at a Shoppers Drug Mart  there. 40,000 points is $40 -They changed my profile and then took the points--and what a mess they left me with-- Doesn't it just make you sick?--

Here I am trying to keep the books balanced, so we can eat--buy groceries-- I wonder if all those points are really worth it, when people can just  "hack" into one's account?--  I am tempted to stop gathering all these points---How did these horrible people do this----and even from a different city far away from where I even live?

Do any of you pick up points , from a grocery?-- points that are worth money-?--But--are they really worth collecting when it can cause so much hassle?-- You see, I could not even try to correct the situation, because it wads a weekend-

Anyway--it is mild--NO SNOW FALLING--  a bonus-- and wee little crazy Chihuahua, ran and ran outside this AM--  -

OK--Our internet provider will call me back in 5 minutes---- changing passwords for me--- Lord love a Duck!--Think I will cut up that stupid points card--  Its not worth the trouble it has caused me--

-AND----I AM GOING TO MAKE CHANGES-----   It will make my life easier! --Hugs to yu all-

  1. Gosh darn it..sneaky, dishonest people trying to get something that belongs to you. Leaves you with a mess to straighten out and try to detangle. I hate that happened to you. Yes. I save up points on credit card and grocery store. I don't like giving out my personal information but at the time it sounds like a good idea. Sigh
Glad its not snowing up there. We have rain today. A lazy kind of day.
Stay well and warm. Play your piano.

  4. Good afternoon, Lynda,
Our store gives dollars off of our receipt when we check out. You can't save them up. It does sound like a mess. So sorry that you have one more hassle to deal with. It is raining here in Michigan, but it is not that cold-37 degrees. Hubby and I are going shopping this afternoon. Have a good day and give himself a big hug from me!

  5. Sorry that happened to you. It is frustrating that all of these things happen nowadays. Ahh! I can see little Lopez running around. I am SO sad today, Lynda. We had to put our older yorkie down today. He still was only 10. I sure hope time will help. Keep us in your thoughts. Thanks and hugs to you!:)

  7. Making life easier is the key to happiness I believe. Our grocery stores near us do give points but you need to use them to get a discount on your gas. I do most of my grocery shopping at Target and with my Target Card I get 5% off. Saves me a little and the prices are cheaper, but the selection is not as good.

  8. Nothing is safe…we got a letter that our dermatology group was hacked and patient info was taken…geez!! I had my credit card number used in a state far away within minutes of using it in FL…luckily, the bank called to question! What a mean and crazy way to mess with innocent people just trying to get along, right?! Sorry this took up so much of your time…you didn’t need the hassle! ❤️ Eissa7

  9. So sorry you got hacked. To answer your question, I do collect points at my grocery, but they are not worth money, they are worth cents off on gasoline! Still, that's like money, isn't it? Same with the points at the drug store... worth dollars in store credit. I've been lucky so far. One time someone hacked my Yahoo account, but since they were logged in from a foreign country, I was able to log them out, change my password, and carry on.

  10. I have an optimum card and use my points mostly at Shoppers on their bonus days. I just found out from at cashier at Loblaws that you can use your points there when you check out to pay your bill. Also get gas at Esso I think. Don't save up so someone can steal. I can't believe how many people/organizations are getting hacked constantly. World sure has changed. Glad Lopez was having fun outside. Stay safe.

  11. Lynda, I have no idea what a PC account is. I do have cards (or dangles on my key chain) I use to get perks of one kind or another. My major supermarket gives point each week on different products. Those can be used for a gas discount at their gas station.
Mild here, too...In the mid 30sF and RAINING! If it all freezes again tonight, it will be very slippery.
Happy Lopez loves it...bet Beau does, too. I would just love to see how they react when spring comes!
I retested for Covid...AND I AM NEGATIVE! Lingering fatigue of course. I am feeling better every day.
Hope you are all fine, too.
Did the trip go okay yesterday with Himself?

    2. Just battling the post covid fatigue, Lynda. I read if your case was mild, it should go away after 2 or 3 weeks.

  12. I use to be so faithful with PC points until I saw that I had to collect only the offers they gave me and not what I was shopping on so I don't really bother much, my grocery store switched cards and I didn't bother getting the new one as I know it is more for information for them. I collect cash on using my credit card and that works just fine for me.
