"Let your Soul Shine"

I have been snow blowing--  from the storm 2 days ago--the dog pen---and the path to the propane tank--plus the deck---  We really MUST get rid of this house-- a wonderful family home--on a lake---on an acre of land--I shall miss it--but--not all the work involved to keep it going ---Anyone want to buy a huge home in Northern Ontario, near a small community, 3 hrs from Michigan--- 2 hours from Sudbury and about 3 hrs to Sault St Marie ?---- 4 bedrooms--- 2 kitchens-- etc etc etc--

I shall try to work on Son#3--- (But he just built their forever hone!)--Oh well--  It is the very last lot on this lake--  No more cottages or homes will be built--

Before I forget--Happy Chinese New Year--The year of the Rabbit-----

Son#3 and Son#4 dragged their ice hut from our lawn--

---onto the Lake-------and are fishing  down the lake--
The joys of living in the North-- -- they will let me know how much ice is on the lake---probably a couple of feet for sure--
--Son#2, the Air Canada Pilot- sent this picture of  his big  "Bird" as he calls his Dreamliner---sitting on the Tarmac in Costa Rica, probably loading up with Bananas--He returned last night--leaving for Jamaica to-day--

OK_-I have a bit more snow to blow--so, I hope that your Sunday is  a good day--

"Keep your chin up" as Dad used to say as I walked out the door-It is Sunday--  "Bless your Heart"--- as Mom used to say----  and--I say, "Let your Soul Shine!"

  2. It's Marti, I don't feel like changing the Anonymous. We are getting snow here in Central Ohio. They say 1-3." Earlier it said 3-5." I am getting to the age where I really don't like to walk in the snow to walk the dog b/c I've fallen before. You guys up North are all a hardy bunch, I tell ya! I guess you have to like snow to live there, LOL.

  3. Your snow is suppose to head to NH tonight and tomorrow. I wish it was just snow but there is talk of freezing rain with it. Oh well we have everything we need until it passes by. . . some chili in the slow cooker for dinner and football on the tv .
Hope the house sells and you find somewhere more suitable in the Spring. So glad we moved out of our big house 4 years ago . . . it was getting to be to much and the taxes in Vermont were crazy compared to NH.

  4. Hi Lynda…I can soooo relate, in a small way, to your struggle about leaving your beautiful lake and property for a much smaller home. We are currently considering the same…my brain tells me it is definitely the right decision BUT my heart is sad. If I could just find a place I liked…
Hope that you are not too worn out from all that snow blowing…maybe the sons will catch some good fish and make you and Fred dinner? ❤️

  5. I don't know how you do so much! I can't - legs don't work well enough. Why don't you get on of the neighbours or sons to help. Hope your sons catch enough fish to give you some for dinner!

  6. My soul is shining...and my body is working on it.
It was a good idea to take a break from snow removal to do your blog.
Maybe when you come in again, you'll be able to rest. You do not have to do everything the same day! At least your son will be flying in bananas for you.
I'm just chillin' today. Slept 9 hours last night and just awoke from a 2 hour nap. I'll get over this yet! Need to remind myself to drink more, though. Water especially.
Tomorrow is the start of a new work week. Glad I don't need to face it anymore. But for you and me, every day is part of a workweek...or a weekend, however we choose to feel about it.
    Happy Chinese New Year to you and yours, too...and to all those that read this blog! {{{HUGS}}}

  7. It is such a nice place but so much work. I hope you can find your happy place and less work. We got a lot of snow today. I only live 45 minutes from your daughter. Hope the roads are good in the morning so Kloi can get to her 8 am grooming appointment. Also, grocery pickup. Take care and stay warm!:)

  10. All that snow, such a pain in the butt though. Make a decision and write it down! Don’t let it get down to others to decide for you, because you are in no shape to make a decision…..hope you have a good Will written out, what with 5 children……good luck, dear Lynda!

  11. Every time I think about selling and leaving my beautiful home and property, I get very sad. Yes it is hard work to stay here - but this is where all my memories are! And as long as I can maintain, I want to stay. I am working hard at decluttering and getting rid of "stuff" so my kids won't have to deal with it. So I am content to be here even though I don't use half of the rooms!
