" THIS IS MY FAVOURITE DAY", says POOH!

Good Morning-- Here we are again-- "another day-another dollar"---  Mom used to say that!---

So, isn't it good to know that there is some little secret person, reading my blog, ready to forward whatever  can be sent, to one of my sons--but--it has to be something that will upset whomever she forwards the blog to--pretty sad eh ?---

I must tell you why I blog--not only to meet all who read the blog, but , it is a way to keep a history of my life, to save, for my grandchildren---I wanted to write  a wee book for the grandchildren--for when they are older--to keep--  because looking back over my years, growing up, I wish I had known my Dad's Mom--my Grandmother, who was a teacher, before she raised 6 children.

That was her with the arrow -----
My Mom with the long hair--- with her Mom,  who I never knew, and her Grandmother, and great Grandmother--

A daily blog, is a way to save  thoughts-- a journal of the times-- the pandemic--the way of life in this time--this era--

It is minus 20C --too cold---  I think it will warm up , as snow is expected this afternoon- The poor dogs have not been out yet--Little Lopez  will not enjoy this cold!--

Well, I never knew, when one's body goes crashing down on a concrete  drive, --not only do you end up with a terrible sore knee, but your ribs  are sore--- as I put my arms out to stop the fall--and if you move the wrong way, your back sends sharp pains up and you hear someone  shouting, in pain--It is me!--Lord love a Duck! If you are snow blowing, as I am doing, be very careful--- DO NOT WEAR CLEATS ON YOUR BOOTS WHICH MAY BECOME  DETACHED, AND CAUSE YU TO TRIP!---

--lotsa  positive words in the above--"ABSOLUTELY"---"FANTASTIC"---"SPLENDID"-----Yu gotta love them!

Himself , by the way, is doing pretty good so far to-day--We did get to the grocery store yesterday--and bless his soul, he stayed in the car, with Lopez, the Chihuahua----while I was in the store---I am trying not to buy a large order , as  it takes so long to put it all away--and--I worry that he might get out of the vehicle while I am in the store---Lotza stuff to worry about isn't there?

"I am crazy enough to think I can-- "------  some days  seem tough-- but---  WE CAN  DO THIS---BECAUSE WE  HAVE TO!--

--no more crying--- ------- WE CAN  TAKE OFF AGAINST THE WIND!----AND--- WE CAN HAVE THE BEST DAY EVER!

  1. You post such a good history of your family, and I totally understand the need to preserve such things for "posterity". My sister does a lot of that, and I'm not as organized as she is. I sure hope that somewhere among the following generations someone will pick it up and carry it onward!

  2. Lynda, no tears over the trouble making worm who stirs the pot by forwarding your comments to a family member. Thats a mean spirited person who doesn't have enough to do. Not worth a single second of your brain cells.
I love the idea of documenting your days, thoughts, dreams for your grandchildren. Thats cool. I never knew some of my grandparents.
More snow UGH. Glad grocery run went well with DH and Lopez.
I gotta go on a bananna run.
Stay positive. Hoping knee and ribs feel better soon. Hate that you are out there so often fighting the snow.
Don't let the turkeys get ya Down!
    Hugs

  4. Glad you are still posting! And that you went shopping. I even bought bananas, too. Must be something keeping you going. I never thought about Himself getting out of the car before! Oh no! Carrying the groceries in is a chore, too. Mine are still dropped at the door, because Covid is still dangerous here in north Texas! Sorry that you never knew your great grandmother! I never knew my mother’s mother, she died of starvation in Berlin, after the war. We all came here in 1950. Memories! Take care of those ribs!

  5. Sorry you are still sore! Happy you got out yesterday and got what you needed. I was wondering, is it possible your kids read your blogs? I was thinking maybe there’s not really a mystery reporter unless maybe you know different. Stay warm and rest up til you feel better!:)

  6. It's amazing how someone can only point out something they don't like to your son. They never said anything about you needing help with all the stuff that needs doing or the help you need with himself! That's someone who only wants to cause trouble. I'm sure there are ways to find out who it is, computer savvy people would know, maybe the pilot? Put them out of your mind and just work on getting your knee & ribs better.

    1. No--- Definitely not the pilot--perhaps another family person--Im pretty sure who it is-- -who knows--As each day passes I am better and better tho== Thank goodness--Families are so complicated ! Lynda

  7. I tried to post my support for you yesterday but it just would not take it. . . .not sure why. Glad you are still posting. . . I think most days it feels good to get your feelings out there. When is the person from Senior Services coming to talk with you? I am sorry about your fall. What kind of spikes do you have? I use stabilicers and they don't come off. . . wouldn't try to walk around outside here in NH without them. Here is the link https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/43355?page=stabilicers-lite&bc=&feat=stabilicers-SR0&csp=a&searchTerm=stabilicers&pos=1
Hope you have a better weekend.

  8. I am happy that you didn't let someone stop you from what you love doing. We all look forward to reading your blog daily and it also is therapeutic for you to write. You do need an outlet to voice your frustrations and also to talk about your day to day experiences. We love to hear about little Lopez and his adventures as well as Beau and the cat that came in from the cold. So many things that you share about your parents and growing up bring back happy memories for us of our childhood. Hugs!

  9. Lynda, I am so sorry, but not surprised, that you ache after such a hard fall! You are soooo fortunate that you didn’t break or dislocate something, though! Rest when you can (I can see you rolling your eyes LOL)! You did say more snow is on the way??!
Isn’t it fun to look back at pictures of those on whose shoulders we stand! What a great photo of your Mom and your “Greats”!!
And…thank you for having the courage to blog after that cruel person tried to take you down!! We Spark people support, we do not sabotage!!

  10. It's paceka1. I hope that whoever sent your blog to your son feels very ashamed that your personal thoughts have been violated! In my opinion, mothers have earned the right to be disappointed in their children now and then. It has nothing to do with how much we love them, but I think it's because we thought we'd raised them better. Sorry about your fall and subsequent issues. I am so very afraid of being outside now during the winter. My back has nearly healed so if I fell it probably wouldn't hurt it but who wants to take chances!!! Have a good evening.

    1. Hi you!--- LOL---Always good to hear from you! --I agree--- Mothers do get disappointed in their kids sometimes-- I am saddened that the person who did this , does it thinking she is secret about it-- I am pretty sure who it is--I hope your back is better--- A sore back is terrible!Lynda

  11. I'm glad things went well on your trip.
I love all your positive thoughts. Hope we both can keep them up.
Has your son called you I wonder?
It will be as you cold as you overnight tonight. I keep looking forward to Spring. Almost done with January. I am still wishing people Happy New Year. I figure the years has to be new as it's not even through the first month.
Did you try to repair the cleat? They are handy when they work correctly. There are different kinds of 'ice grips' out there, too.
There are new income limits set my the federal and state governments. I believe I now qualify for food benefits (they give you a certain amount each month and a card similar to a debit card to use) and was told I may even qualify for a pension with the Department of Veterans Affairs as I served during the Vietnam war.
    We'll see. You be careful!!! {{{HUGS}}}
