Lopez and I walked up the back road, and again, he was looking into the bush and growling. There was probably some animal lurking there, assessing the situation--Should that animal try to eat the Chihuahua with me there , or not?-- See?--- A tiny Chihuahua really lives on the edge- Lopez and I always turn around in situations such as that.-I trust that he knows something bad is watching us----To-day is going to be a good day!--- I can make it that way--
Himself, this morning, was sure that I had thrown out some Chihuahua food which he thought was in the fridge-- Our morning began with himself ranting and raving ---I handled it however--- The food was eventually found in the microwave, where he had left it yesterday--There are times it's best to pretend I didn't hear anything about whatever the problem was--my new attitude---Its not worth becoming upset and looking like the poor soul in the picture below! -----To-day is going to be a good day---LOLOL----
We only really have "to-day"-- We can make to-day just fine---and I shall---All one must do, is make up the mind--I shall handle all of this, because I must!--It is a new year-- and we are in it--and yes, women have survived many worse situations-The above is so true-----Always forgive--- hard sometimes for a Mother to do----but so important--smile with the sad---learn from mistakes,--and never regret-- To-day is where we are at--- and we can make the most of it! ----
I love your attitude and I also love the meme that says we've survived 100% of the worst days - so true. I have no actual plans for today either. Would like to pick up the house a bit. Put away Christmas yesterday but haven't yet taken out the regular things so my living room looks a bit bare! And I need to vacuum sometime today! I like the idea of playing the piano and reading your book!
ReplyDeleteThe best ever---- reading -and playing the piano--no so much-vacuuming--LOL-- Hugs , Lynda
DeleteMoving forward! Happy Monday. ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteBut--- it is Tuesday Patricia--Isn't it?--LOL-Lynda
DeleteTook all of Christmas down over the past two days and this morning the cleaning lady (the real one) came and made everything sparkly again. She comes every second Monday, money well spent. I have the laundry finished so time to relax and enjoy life. No arguments in this house because I refuse to argue. I just smile and say I'm not going to argue. It works most of the time.
ReplyDeleteWillow I SHALL REMEMBER THAT--no arguing-- but--there are times I'D LIKE TO-----GOOD you got the XMAS THINGS WAY--lynda
DeleteOH goodness, take care shoveling that heavy snow from the rof.
ReplyDeleteLittle Lopez is being a good boy lately! You trained him w/such patience!
That sounds like what my Mom used to do. She was a master hider. Even after her passing, I found things that had gone ‘missing’ in the closet of the bedroom they used. Just keep valuables out of Himself’s sight and reach.
Your attitude is spot on. Arguing is not going to change their mind. No matter how right you are, no matter how you fight to make your point known. Best to ignore, move on.

HOLY cow---I can tell that you have lived with a person like Himself--Ha Ha----Best to ignore--Spot on--LYNDA
DeleteLove that crazy lady in the 'poster!' Sometimes that's me. I bet you, too. But then we remember the advice in the other two!
ReplyDeleteThat animal Lopez sensed may just have been trying to find shelter and food. Not intending harm, just self-defense.
I have already gone to a coffee shop to meet for the first time a fellow member of my FB team Abraham-Hicks (the Law of Attraction) team! What fun. We have many things in common...both 4 kids, both love animals (she has inside and outside cats), lots of veggies. She is vegetarian...I try to eat plant based, too.
The rest of the day, I am just chillin'. We are under a winter storm watch. Expecting several inches of snow.
Wonder if, when Himself found the food in the microwave, he realized he should not have blamed you...that it was his own mistake?
Your music and book sounds like an excellent idea. Sometimes we need to take the time for ourselves...if we don't, we may not get the time for several more days.
Be happy! {{{HUGS}}}
Yes that crazy Lady looks like me sometimes--LOL-- That is so nice thAt yu met a new friend--Lucky YU! --And no, Himself believes that I throw everything out when he can't see it--Frustrating for me---- Happy New Year--Lynda
DeleteBe careful shoveling the heavy roof snow on the deck
DeleteI am surprised Lopez goes out at all in your temps.
I love that you will take time to play your piano and read a book. Excellent. You need that for your sanity. As far as himself,, ignore the rants and continue to go about your business.. you handled the situation well.
Huge
I think Lopez thinks he is the same size as Beau, the Shepherd--Crazy little guy! --Always good to hear from yu-Lynda
DeleteSounds like you are determined to have a good day today! Even though it was a rocky start with the missing Chowowa food! I am having a good day too! My oldest son came to visit me since he was sick and was not here for Christmas! Also a good day as he brought his daughter along and I fixed them both some lunch! After they left, I took out for a 2.25 mile walk around my neighborhood. The temp is 60, but very overcast and it looks like it will rain soon! So I was glad to get some excerise in before it did! I gained 3 lbs over the holidays, and have lost one of those pounds already! I ate too many sweets and drank too much eggnog! But it was soooo good! hahaha! At least I am starting the new year off without all that stuff here to tempt me as I devoured it all! And I love the quote about surviving 100% of the worse times.....so true!
ReplyDeleteSandra--You are a wonderful role model to me--a survivor--so nice that you had your son visit-Lynda-
DeleteI'll take my cue from you. We shall MAKE today a good day, no matter what!
ReplyDeleteWE have to make it a good day Barb! --Hugs, Lynda
DeleteI hope that your today is a good one and that you carved out a bit of time to read/play the piano…you deserve some relaxing time!! ❤️
ReplyDeleteEissa7
Thank yu for commenting and yes, it was a good day here-- Lynda
DeleteI lived up north (Parry Sound) for a few years. I had a steel roof and when the snow fell off if would make an awful noise and scare the dog every time. It would fall onto the deck too. It would take a long time for it all to come down. Glad you are looking at taking a different approach to himself's outbursts. It will help you to deal with it hopefully calmly and ignoring what he says. Not easy to do. You need to look after your health too. And play the piano!
ReplyDeleteParry Sound--Lots of snow there too!--Yes the heavy wet snow falling from the roof is scarey----- That is not that far from Elliot Lake--Lynda
DeleteYou Rock Lynda.................
