Random Acts of kindness are Beautiful things--

This is me---  It is a snow mix rain happening here outside--coming down fast--and a lot of it-----
I was out blowing enough of the snow so Lopez would be able to do his business--AND HE DID!--Whatta good little boy-- and--  you know what?--I see Son #1 out there in his big red Kabuka (or whatever you call it--machine--)--Lord love a Duck--There is help!--

We are hoping to go to his daughter's Birthday dinner--  in town, this evening--IF WE CAN GET OUT THE DRIVEWAY-- She is in the last Grandchild--She is 9 yrs old to-day-so exciting for her--

I have a stroller for a cat---  purchased about 10yrs ago, at the pet store-- I must've been crazy eh??----  I thought I might offer this cat stroller to this Grand Daughter--

It was hardly used.  I walked once, with Sushi in it--up the road--and the poor cat, I think, thought her "time had come"-- tried desperately to get out of it but all the exits to outside were zippered up-- She screeched all the way to the highway and back in that stroller-- I thought I was doing Sushi a favour--getting her outside and all, but---  it seemed terrible upsetting to her--

You know, as a kid, we always had cats--- They were never Spade--or neutered or whatever-- There were always many litters of kittens-- My older sister and I would dress the cats up, in our doll clothes,  cut off all their whiskers  (for reasons unknown)--and  push them around in our younger sisters carriage---  I remember too,  Mom telling me not to to cut off the whisker's--but--we did anyway--

Son#1 and wife , have 2 cats-- indoor cats of course.  Her Mother is afraid  her 9 yr old daughter , will stuff those cats in the stroller I was about to give her, , take them outside--maybe allow them to get out--and  they might never be seen again-- I understand that!---  So--the stroller --the cat stroller , will continue to sit in the spare bedroom-

Well, I just came in from outside-- It is not Son#1 who was clearing our drive , but another neighbour--  That is so good of this fellow--

I offered gas for his big machine but he says it takes something different-

So-- I guess there is a God in Heaven--  and he sent this very kind Gentleman----Lord love a duck!--it's like a miracle! ---- Bless  HIS heart!---

Sushi , the cat who came in from the cold, and I-----

So, get your HAPPY on to-day--  Miracles do happen------  interesting--isn't it??--I hope your day goes well--

  1. You have some good neighbors! GRATEFUL. Would have been nice for son to help, again, but Lord knows where he is. Nice neighbor and didn't want to be paid. Very kind. HATE that you are having more snow. Heavy rain on the way here...better than snow.
I've seen people with cat strollers. Not Sushis cup of tea lol. Liked the stories of you and your sister with the cats. They need those whiskers lol. I've heard the whiskers are like curb feelers as if the cat can fit in somewhere with the whiskers, its body can fit.
Hope you make it to granddaughters BD party. Might not happen if weather is too bad.
    Enjoy your day.
    Play your piano.

  2. Our cold weather pattern was short lived. . . thank goodness and we are back to above freezing in the day and 20F at night. We haven't had much snow either since those 3 big storms that were one right after the other. Don't get me wrong we still have about a foot of snow on the ground but it settling down and sublimating . . . we had about 3 feet not to long ago. I mailed a valentine present to my only granddaughter today. I would love to see her and have her over but her mother is still not speaking to me. (almost 3 months now) It is very depressing.

  3. The snow and cold weather seems never ending in your area. It was nice of your neighbor to clear your snow on the drive. Hopefully you will be able to make it to your granddaughter's birthday dinner tonight as it will be a nice change for both you and Himself. The items on the list of Beautiful Simple Things are some of my favorite things. Take care and enjoy your day.

  4. Happy you got snow help. Yay! Hope you get to go to the party. I know which granddaughter, she is so cute! I have a stroller for the yorkies for when the pavement gets hot. But the one who recently passed didn’t care much for outside but the other is ready to go as soon as she sees you getting ready. Lol Have a great evening!

  5. I've seen signs: Don't litter. Spay or neuter your critter AND Please spay or neuter your weird friends and pets.
In my building it's a rule. That and a rabies innoculation.
I am proud to say that in Minnesota it is now illegal to declaw cats.
Great you got help with your snow. My Law of Attractions says we should expect miracles every day!
Cat stroller? I will have to google that. It is so difficult to get Lucky into a carrier for his yearly vet visit.
I know you know now why kitties need their whiskers. Dogs, too.
Of course Lopez is a good boy. So is Beau.
Have a great time at your niece's birthday party.
Just went shopping. Our local supermarket had Lean Cuisines for $.99. Guess what I'll be eating ;-)
    Let's be happy...it sure is better than the alternative! {{{HUGS}}}

  6. That’s wonderful that your neighbor came to help you out. HOPE you and DH can get out of the drive to go to the birthday party for your granddaughter.

LOVE the picture of you and baby Sushi! It sounds like she definitely does not care for the cat carriage experience! Must be too confining for her.

    Here's to a great day.

  7. That was real nice of the neighbour. Maybe it was the one who helped the other week and had his son come too. You are having quite the winter and we haven't had a ton of it yet - so keep it up there! Hope you make it to your granddaughters party. Enjoy.

  8. I enjoyed your story about Sushi in the stroller…she must have wondered what in the world was going on?!! LOL. I hope you get to your youngest grandchild’s BD party this evening…I get why her Mom nixed the stroller idea although she’d have loved pushing her kitties around. Best to not tempt the thought process of a 9 year old ha-ha! So happy that your neighbor came to snow removal assistance and you got a much-needed break! ❤️ Eissa7

  9. Hope you can get to your granddaughter’s birthday dinner! Yes, maybe Lopez would like a ride in the stroller. When we had our Bulldog, she liked to ride in the wheelbarrow, they did not make strollers for dogs yet back then. Start them in it when young. Leave it where they can see and smell it for awhile. Thankful for Lady Luck to send the neighbor to plow your area! Lovely.
