To-day I will master the Art of Doing Nothing.

Isn't it so true?--- Altho, as I grow older, the weight seems to sorta fall off-- Weird too, because all my life, it was a struggle to lose weight-- I joined various weight groups-- in fact I ran a couple of them-- and it seemed I gained more weight . I would finally just give up---You all know, too, that  I was a member of "Spark" online here, and I finally began to lose the excess fat, slowly--  I believe it was because I began to change my bad habits  ever so slowly as I began to understand more about "eating".

But---- then I got old---  Lord love a Duck! ---  And in my "older age"---life throws one curve balls--and I forgot to eat, or, was too busy to eat--- and the excess weight  evaporated I guess.--Do you find that?

I lose my phone sometimes--- and have to call it, to locate it---It is usually  in my purse --or in the car ---- or somewhere very close, usually right under my nose.

You know, I can remember hearing , and not too long ago either, that one day, everyone would have their very own phone--I did not ever believe that would happen--- now we do--

-

Son#2, the air Canada Pilot,  sent these pictures -- He returns from Los Angeles to-day--I think he was jogging and stopped to buy the above--He said the weather was lovely there--
And our  Grandson was out yesterday to clean off the propane tank, which was buried in snow--so good of him!--
I thought this pretty funny----------and the two below also--

It is time to get ready to get those bananas---and milk----and veggies--- and fruit-- and gas for the vehicle-- ---I hope that you'll enjoy your Sunday--We do NOT have snow falling, so I know it will be a good day--
Where ever you are, I hope your day goes well---- hug your pets---and your family----We  are so fortunate to live where do------ To-day is a good day to have a great day, for sure!

  1. Well, about the best I can say for now is I haven’t gained any weight since Sparks! That’s a plus.

It has been so long since we’ve been to Trader Joe’s . . . but do go often to it’s ‘poor cousin’ Aldi’s.

So wonderful that your Grandson cleared the propane tank for you. Blessings!

LOVE the memes. Definitely, when men work, they need a sign proclaiming so. WE . . . just . . . do . . . it! LOL

Have never mastered the art of doing nothing, but have to try it! LOL

  4. My weight seems to be dropping off lately too. I know I eat better now and am not always looking for something to eat. Meals, snacks and that's it, no scrounging through the cupboards or fridge. Must be an 'age' thing, Lynda.

How wonderful that your grandson came and helped, it's always a blessing to have a good family.

A woman's work is never done and I think it's great that so many men these days help around the house. In 'the old days' men never lifted a finger to help their wives!!

Love & Hugs to you, Fred and your fur babies xoxo

  5. Enjoy your day, going shopping is better than not being able to go at all. Looks like your son picked up some goodies down in Los Angeles. We lived up in the mountains of Northern California, yes, it gets cold and snowy, small town living, not like Los Angeles at all. But we lived there for decades, until our son moved to Texas for work. So here we are, just me now, old and grey/white. Ice storms, lol. Go get your bananas!

  7. Hello. Marti here. Dumb question: what is the propane tank for? What do you use it for? and why does it need cleaned off?

We (my small family and I) had a good day on a sad occasion. The 1st anniversary of my cousin's death. He loved his whiskey. My only remaining family (my female cousin), his widow, her son, me, and my cousin's hubby, went to a very nice golf club about a half hour away, where my cousin and wife used to like to go, in honor of him. I didn't know this was a thing, but we had "breakfast shots," and toasted to my cousin - Jerry - they were huge - butterscotch schnapps and vodka, and boy, did that set me back on my behind until the food came, oh my! It was a lovely, sunny day and 53 degrees. This is rare in Central Ohio in the middle of February!

And so, a toast to you! :)

    1. The propane tank is full of propane for our furnace--to heat the house==When it is covered with snow, we use more propane --When the sun gets at the Propane, we use less--Propane costs us $426/month------ YU see, wee live in the bush--about 10 lam from town, so no natural gas here-- Lynda

  10. Lynda, I love your posters! Saved that funny work sign to share.

Your son is lucky to be in LA. He must see lots of great places, all with their own beauty.

I got bananas today, too. And an enormous blueberry muffin.

We didn't have our usually Sunday bingo game as there was not enough people. I got a lot done around the apartment instead.

I am happy your grandson helped you. Family really comes in handy!

    Have a lovely Monday, Himself and pets included. {{{HUGS}}}

  12. Your son was at Trader Joe’s! That is where I do most of my shopping these days. It’s quick and convenient and has the freshest store produce! Lucky to live in San Francisco, for sure! Have a wonderful Monday and I hope it doesn’t snow at your place! Alice the nurse practitioner in SF.
