You're Worth It!

                                                Who blogs at 5-30pm--- ?--Well to-day it is me!  

It has been a  very busy day, but--FINALLY --I have taken a few minutes to say hello to you all--I have not stopped all day--it seems--!-

Himself had to be taken to the "Foot Lady" this AM-- so I did some banking while he was there--at our new bank---then returned to pick him up-- By that time it was noon---This afternoon I did get more junk tossed out--and boxed up a bit of things-- And in between all of this, Lopez was out--then in--then out -- and in--It is dark here now at 5pm---  early--

        After supper I will read your comments--  I notice there are more , added to yesterdays blog----So, I missed chatting to you all this morning--but, I did get  Himself to town---

    I can say that to-day I tried to  go easy on myself---Did you?---Once in awhile that is a good thing ---To-night we re having bacon and fried eggs for supper--trying to use up the food in the Frig--

Gobble-Gobble!

 LOLOL---- IT sure is ME!!  --sounds like you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving--Isn't it great to get a Holiday Weekend--?-  WITH A CELEBRATION?----AND a TURKEY??---and so much to be thankful for!

I shovelled again--- The snow continues to fall--- but---  I hear where we 're moving, there is no snow!---Yeahhhhhhh-----

So, Are you exhausted after having the family over?---  Were you too exhausted to clean up the kitchen?--A Turkey dinner is a great deal of work for sure!--  Maybe you need a few smiles this morning--

For the next week, I will blog when time permits--  , but they will be 

"shorter than short blogs", and as soon as the computer is set up, in Lakefield , I will continue to reach  out to you all--In the meantime, I hope that you all remember that you are stronger than you believe you are---

Hopefully I can check in to-morrow--just to see how you all survived that Turkey--Gobble Gobble!!!

Do Your Thing--

    

We are so so fortunate aren't we?--- Thanksgiving Day in the US -such a great day to count your blessings--Appreciate all the good in your life!!

We have SNOW here--  Yesterday we could label as a "snow" Day--and a bit more fell overnight--I shovelled it off the bricks in front of the garage---So, Himself is home here to-day--I made a pot of soup for lunch , from one of those cooked Chickens from the grocery store--  It seems like a "Soup" day-- We shall have that soup for lunch plus a salmon sandwich--All of you in the US--are you having turkey for supper?-- 

                            Our Canadian Thanksgiving was a month and a half ago---October 14th

Lopez and I hoofed it up the road-earlier, -in the snow--The snow doesn't seem a problem to him this year---AND --he even did his business---So--- Lunch time here--then nap time--WITH MY BOOK---I am in need a a good book-------Any ideas? 

                     Enjoy your Thanksgiving  weekend---  Are you celebrating with family??--- Oh Son#2 just sent a picture of the view from his cottage

Never allow anyone to ruin your life-

 The above was me yesterday---- someone close to me  was extremely frank--very critical of me--- so, well, you all know that it doesn't take much to make me cry----  but----  I am OK now---   I will not allow anyone to treat Lynda like she was treated--because Lynda is a good person--and Lynda will not allow anyone to treat her badly--Lynda  deserves respect, and until she hears an apology, she  never wants to meet that person ever again--THERE!-----Lynda would NEVER  treat ANYONE in the whole wide world, like she was treated--ever!

To-day is a new day--Himself is at his Day Program--- It is very wintery  outside--I stopped at Canadian Tire to buy some ice melt as our sidewalk is very very slippery---  

And again this A.M. I called a store to provide our new address--took 45 minutes --so time consuming ----still deciding what to take--what to leave--  Yu know, when we arrive where we are moving to, I will be able to take Himself into stores --in a wheel chair of course, but I will not be so rushed--not so much to do --- more time for him-- The store I ran into this A.M., was all decorated for Christmas--Too bad Himself never sees this anymore--Soon, I can bring him in with me --so he can enjoy the Holiday Season--Do you know anyone confined to their home?--- Dd you ever think that they too, cannot get out to see a parade--or , just to appreciate the Holiday decorations--

SO, try not to cry to-day---  I did enough of that yesterday--just move on--Do NOT ALLOW ANYONE  in this nutty world, to ruin your great life--- My advice to you---

It's Sunday and all is well--

 WELL, I did not get to relax--We have had snow falling ALL day--I believe it is still coming down-AND----  I am REALLY late posting-because I was  shovelling ALL DAY--and we do have a very long driveway--no snowblower--- so, I shovelled---  and I'm afraid to look outside because I think it is still coming down--our first snow fall really--I believe when we move ,  we will not see this much snow--

and I am tired of snow already--I did get to do a bit of packing--- not much, but a bit--and it seems that little Lopez kinda likes the snow--hops over the drifts--- He wears a tiny parka  which is kinda hard to get on him, but it doesn't seem to bother him--

So, it has been a busy day --shovelling sidewalks ---and - out by the gate --- plus I drove up and down the driveway to pack the snow---Did any of you get snow to-day? Below is what it looked like most of the day--

I was able to-day to call a few businesses  to announce our move--a very time consuming thing ---and one can only hope that all the info given to them, is  changed-- Moving is not easy---So--justa short blog--to let you know that we have survived our very first snow day -- Hope all is well in your part of the world--

That Rainbow Connection---

Maybe  from now on, it will be a perfect day--It certainly has not been that sort of day up till now--In fact I even started to cry at the gas station---after filling up the car with gas--and after dropping Himself off at his Day Program--

 You see, people who are 96 yrs think they are "younger than Springtime"--and think because they are home here, that they are in charge of EVERYTHING, make crazy demands on their wife---like----  "What is that box?"--(It's a new soft sided cat carrier so I can keep the cat safely in the car when we are travelling to Lakefield)---well, "Why would you buy that now?"---and---"You spend to much money""--and it just goes  on and on, ending with something like, "Only a stupid person would order that and why are you spending all my money"-----

I try to ignore it all, as we were late getting Him to the Day Program---as he was sitting watching TV as I made the bed, took out the garbage, walked Lopez,  and  changed our bed---I was up at 4-30am to get everything done--so-----  I guess the best thing is to ignore the crap----from my Dear Husband  -stop the crying-- because I know he doesn't mean what he says--and "CARRY ON"--- 

"Keep your chin up"-- Dad just yelled in my head--Good thing Dear old Dad is up there looking down at me--This day can only get better eh??

        So, time for the"Oldies and the Goldies"--when life was more normal--- and even enjoyable--

This was the whole "Wallace" clan--- a great Family reunion--- I am in the front row--sitting--Allison is standing --sorta second row--- to my right and Fred  is behind her. looking to his right--A lot of these people have passed --

-Below is Son#2's daughter--She is almost finished University now --So fun to look back on life when life seemed so easy ----I never even realized it--!

Now--I must ask you--  How is your day going?--I hope there are no tears---  If so, remember that song--- because --One day you will find it--that Rainbow Connection --the Lovers, the Dreamers and me......singing makes me feel SO MUCH BETTER!!

     So---- there you go--Already I do feel better--I really needed to talk to you all--and maybe I did find that Rainbow connection today-------Well, ya never know eh?--

NEVER FORGET THAT YOU ARE STRONG!

GOOD MORNING on this cold and windy day--no snow falling tho--yet!!---  Lopez and I "hoofed" it up the road---AND----HE DID HIS BUSINESS---YEAH!----And I was notifying  a few more business of the new address--- Lordy Be, but it does take time!---

I just heard from Son#2 also--on his way home, from being in the Simulator at Pearson  Airport since 4-30am---Poor guy eh??----Pilots are put thru all kinds of disasters while in the Sim----ice, storms -airplanes falling apart-fires -terrible stuff--

So, what is new?---  Well, no Day Program for Himself, most of last week and again to-day--Canada has a full scale Postal strike on now----(Terrible)---I have a ton of stuff to give away--too bad you all don't live closer--  OH----AND---  WE FOUND OUT LAST NIGHT THAT ANOTHER OLDER COUPLE  FROM ELLIOT HERE ARE MOVNG INTO THE SAME APARTMENT BLOCK WHERE WE ARE MOVING INTO__Can yu believe that?-- It's a small world isn't it? Son#2 was speaking to the owner of the building  He informed him of more "Elliot Lakers" arriving---We do not know them --yet----but in time we will I guess.

You know , I really do start everyday with good intentions of everything going well--like--I mean, getting done-- Don't you?---But, these days, somewhere along  the line, things begin to fall apart and stuff gets all mixed up---and more stuff begins to happen  and you begin to do that other stuff--and--oh Lordy Be,  what you were doing sits in the back ground-- and --well you know how it is---the phone rings--- Oh MAN!!!!---There are days,  I feel I just might lose my mind---I really do begin every day with the best intentions--but then---!

                but, one ploughs thru I guess----We are alive and we can do  this-- just keep going--Anyway, the meme below might put a smile on yer face--Good thing  WE are NOT STUPID! 

                                                So, with that, I must keep chugging along  --You must be beginning to believe that I have lost my mind here---LOLOL---I guess it comes with too much to do--LOLOL--But-----No matter what--------

Always remember that you are stronger than you seem, braver than you believe,  and smarter than you think--

                                                        NEVER EVER FORGET THAT!

 

It's about being alive--

Late---  AGAIN_--- posting later than  late---but--I now have a date  for a new telephone--a house phone--a new number--at the place we will be moving to---  It  has only taken me one and a half hours to set this up--- Man oh man! One must have the patience of "Jobe "----when one moves!!-----

So, do you have your Sas on??--- like , are you ready to tell the world that you are awake and ready to go??----  to stand up to the bullies and nitwits ----

 Again this swill be a short blog, but I had to let you know that I was thinking of you all and hoping that you are facing the world to-day with patience and kindness and  trying to avoid all the Malarkey out there--

Everyday seems to be busier than the previous day--- It's changing the banking info which is the worst--Sometimes I am on the phone for over an hour, with, say--the car payment--(as an example)- and I have had to drive down to the financial institution also, but-- it still has road blocks--very frustrating--AND---  no Day Program for Himself as the Head Leader is ill--

The good news is, Lopez and I have "hoofed" it up the road-AND all went well---He is a good wee boy--but---  he is a Chihuahua--- Always be aware that  a Chihuahua  is a Chihuahua ----  an aggressive little guy--NEVER TRY TO PAT A CHIHUAHUA---He is a "biter"----People continually ask if they can pat him and I tell them--"NO"!

I found some "Oldies but Goldies"---buried deep into this computer---Fun to look back and see them--

Obviously, it was Christmas long go--No more babies now---but --they were fun years---happy years--=No-one talked back to us--LOL-- And just look below----  Our daughter's little girl, on her Dad's lap, with a Rice Cooker on her head--and it looks perfectly normal---- 

And--here is Himself--so happy, holding our daughter's son-- who is happy also--I love that picture--

Is your day going well?--If not, "MAKE IT GO WELL?---Do not allow anyone to get you down--Maybe call some of your old buddies--- and dance up a storm--or --"YOU" just turn up the music, and go crazy--let it all hang out-Sometimes one needs to  do that--

I must get back to my "moving business"--Will it ever be nice to just get there.  l will have the rest of my life to sort stuff out, won't I?---  Maybe all of you will come and give me a hand--- (as if eh?)_
