WELL, I did not get to relax--We have had snow falling ALL day--I believe it is still coming down-AND---- I am REALLY late posting-because I was shovelling ALL DAY--and we do have a very long driveway--no snowblower--- so, I shovelled--- and I'm afraid to look outside because I think it is still coming down--our first snow fall really--I believe when we move , we will not see this much snow--and I am tired of snow already--I did get to do a bit of packing--- not much, but a bit--and it seems that little Lopez kinda likes the snow--hops over the drifts--- He wears a tiny parka which is kinda hard to get on him, but it doesn't seem to bother him--
So, it has been a busy day --shovelling sidewalks ---and - out by the gate --- plus I drove up and down the driveway to pack the snow---Did any of you get snow to-day? Below is what it looked like most of the day--
I was able to-day to call a few businesses to announce our move--a very time consuming thing ---and one can only hope that all the info given to them, is changed-- Moving is not easy---So--justa short blog--to let you know that we have survived our very first snow day -- Hope all is well in your part of the world--
It's Kathy. I am so sorry you had to be the one out shoveling. That is really hard work. And now when you have so many other things to do. I'm very happy you will soon be in a smaller place where other people can make sure the sidewalks and driveways are plowed! You are so strong! I went to Pilates today and it was great! I couldn't do everything and I can really feel how out of shape my body is, but I got through the whole 45 minutes and I'm very proud of myself. My body feels it but it's the "good" kind of pain! Have a lovely and quiet evening, you've earned it!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to stick my foot in my mouth. Your sons should be ashamed of themselves, letting their 80+ year old mother dig
Deleteout the driveway, when it take any of them a few minutes to snowblow it.
I will say sorry, don't want to step on your motherly toes, but they should be ashamed.
Darlene you are a Gem-Yes it really was a hard day-- quite a lot of snow fell and I could'nt find my large shovel---probably someone took it ----- Yes it wouldve been nice to get some help but exactly why I am moving---- disapointed but ---I will be out of here soon --=Hugs, Lynda
DeleteSo good Kathy that you enjoyed the Pilates -Yu really are healing!!Nice-Lynda
DeleteOh Lynda...i was hoping you'd be out of there before snow so you'd never have to shovel again. Drat!
ReplyDeleteI'd be fine to never see snow. It's cold with rain on the way.
Relax, sing, dance and play your piano.
Sending hugs and love
Marge/St.Louis
I cudve used help today for sure--lots of snow fell-Lynda
DeleteGlad I checked again, Lynda. You must be very tired. You sure got exercise in, too.
ReplyDeleteWe are just mostly cloudy, breezy and 15 degrees below freezing. We got rid of the inch we had. We are expecting no more snow for at least a few days.
It was quiet here in my house today. Got lots of laundry done, dishes, too. And a nap with Lucky. If I don't go to bed with him soon after lunch, he sits in the bedroom doorway and cries! If I don't come right away, he comes to where I am...goes toward the bedroom looking over his shoulder to see if I'm following. If I'm not...he cries some more.
Trying to figure out what to feed myself here for supper. Don't feel like cooking. Maybe a tuna sandwich? I put veggies in it and have it on whole grain oat bread.
Hope you got some rest, sis. If not you may go to bed early. Whatever...I will check back here later. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Hi Maggie-- justa bad day here-- Any snowy day now is a bad day--exacly why I am moving--Yu know all I wanted for supper was a chocolate bar--=Yu know it was a bad day when yu want a chocolate bar for supper-LOL--I was not going to blog and glasd I did coz I found a few of yu-- Hugs--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! Oh my, you have no time for snow! What happened to your snow blower? Sunny and 50 in Ohio today. My nephew and I went out a few places. Had a nice day. Thank you for blogging. Nice to know you are ok! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI gave it to one of the boys who has it at his house-- silly of me eh??-- Lynda ---
DeleteYou are one strong lady! You deserve top credits for shoveling the snow while you have so much to do inside. Shame the help was missing but they were glad to get the snow blower and large shovel. Hmmmm. Think positive - - you can count the days until moving day on your fingers now. Smile, it will all be over soon! Dot
ReplyDeleteOh my! You did NOT need the snow and shoveling! Hope it’s stopped. Hope it’s a little easier day today.
ReplyDeleteOh I can understand you wanted nothing but a chocolate bar for supper! HOPE you got a good rest.
HUGS and blessings

Those boys. Sigh. On the plus side, though, this is a reminder of what you WON'T be dealing with on snowy days going forward. I can just see you looking out the window in your new home, watching the snow coming down outside, and actually enjoying it because someone else will be clearing the paths outside!
ReplyDeleteOh, glad to see this ... I thought you didn't blog! So sorry you had to shovel all that snow!!! My gosh. But like someone else said...a reminder of one of the reasons this move is a good thing!
