The sun will come out to-morrow---

Good morning --It is raining-- sorta cold---and it is cloudy here--  kinda dismal!-- But, We are here--a part of this day, so we can choose to be happy---because we are strong women---have "weathered" many a storm---and we are surviving---AND NOT CRYING-- Isn't that right?

---Just pretend to be sane---AND STRONG--and before you can say "Johnny Robinson", (Mom 's expression AGAIN!)__you WILL BE STRONGER THAN YOU EVER THOUGHT YOU COULD BE!

I just walked Lopez--AND--HE DID HIS BUSINESS--Bless his heart!--- He is a good wee fellow--As I walked him along the back road, Son#1 came zooming past me--  beeped--never stopped---  and kept on going--It would've been nice if he had of stopped and asked about his 96 yr old Dad--or me--
(I am suddenly reminded why we are moving--)

Son #2 is still flying--heading farther South---He sent some maps to show me where he is heading--He says Argentina is the meat, steak country
Interesting looking food eh??

Oldies and Goldies bring back memories

I must get  on with  the "packing"--the "pitching"  changing our bed -- the vacuuming--hopefully no groceries to-day --- A postal strike going on here--hopefully it will not affect our pensions which are online--What on earth will people do if they expect them in the mail--?

Now if this overcast cloudy weather is getting you down, please remember to sing--I have the perfect song for you to sing out loud--which WILL put a smile on your face, after you belt it out a few times--I promise you !!!-

The sun will come out to-morrow----bet yer bottom dollar---  (LOUDER!!----EVEN LOUDER!)--
to-morrow----to--morrow ---It's only a day away--

LOUDER ------  I can't hear you!!!

  1. Great blog, Lynda!
Love the meme about you having the right to be sane.
The food photos are amazing as are the maps. Your son gets to see more of the world than I do.
Your son must've been in a hurry to get somewhere. He had an agenda. Maybe he will stop when he comes back the other way past your house.
My social security check didn't post, either. Maybe due to the holiday last Monday. It is hard!
Did you see my comment late last night at almost bedtime?
Today is bingo in our Community Room, so Sadie has the day off here to help you out. I'm happy we share her services.
My little Lucky (actually, I'm the one who is lucky to have him) is waiting for his morning play romp with his wands (feather on one, bug with long legs on another) with me.
I will check back later, sis. Hopefully the day for all of you is productive without being frantic. Get some rest in, too. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  2. Hi and a Happy Morning to you. Well, you are inspiring me to do some purging and getting rid of "valuables" that I haven't seen or used in over 30 years. I'm about 7 years older than you so obviously, I won't need them anytime soon. Surprising what I find as I go thru things!
Shame your son didn't stop and just say HI but that's the way it goes and just as well that you have made the decision to move. Maybe he is just pouting about it. Some kids never grow up!
Have a great productive day! Take a deep breath and charge on. Dot.

I am nearly 83 yrs "YOUNG""-- (LOL) --- Yes--I just took time out to play the piano and sing -- but-- a woman's work is never done--so here I am --back----- "CHARGE ON"" as yu say--Hugs-Lynda

  3. Hi Lynda, Happy Sunday. Great blog and inserts. Now...I have that song stuck in my brain so I'll be singing it all day. Cloudy and dismal here, so it's appropriate.
Hhmmm son beeped at his Mother and rolled on. That sounds like my kid. We live an hour apart but he'll come over here to go skeet shooting and doesn't stop in. I understand how you feel. As you said...not new.
Today I shall act sane..it is my right tee hee.
Keep on purging. It's a MUST. The more you pack, the more you pay AND where will you put "stuff" when you arrive? Kids don't want it, you don't use it so gone it is. So proud of you! You are doing great. I do know it's hard for you as memories are attached to things. I'm a pitcher so it's much easier for me. I havent missed a single thing..not one. I purged truck loads that were sent to charities. Good stuff but didn't want or need. We went from 2600 sq. ft. House to 1350 sq.ft villa. No lawn work, no shoveling. I like it as those were MY TASKS as is everything. I understand.
Loved the picture of you, doc and kids. He is so handsome and you are beautiful.
The food pictures, not so sure lol
Have a productive day. Hoping some people from lodge might use some other things.
Hugs dear strong, smart, beautiful friend.

  4. OH for sure we’ve weathered a lot of storms and still strong, still standing, so we’ve got more strength than we think! Crying . . . well, it’s ok once in awhile. Need that release. Just not all the time. I like that . . . some days we really DO have to pretend to be sane!

OH wow. . . the food looks yummy. Love to try it!

Sorry to hear about the postal strike. *SIGH* That is VERY inconvenient.

OMG! LOL! Now I have that song stuck in my head! Guess that’s a good thing! LOL

As for son #1, well, someday he’ll regret not stopping for just a minute to say Hi and ask after you and Himself. Yup . . . some kids just do not grow up.

    Hugs and blessings!

  5. It's Kathy. We are having one last really nice day. Daisy and I need to get outside to pick up more of the sticks that have fallen, especially after yesterday's really windy day! I do everything online these days but I can't imagine not getting any mail for as long as a strike may last. It's always something! The food pictures are interesting! My son was in Paraguay for 2 years with the Peace Corps. He had a lot of interesting stories to tell! Especially the one where he won a goat - a live goat! I hope you have a good day and get a lot done!

  6. Hi Lynda! No sun in the 10 day weather report for Ohio but I see a little peeking out. So, don’t forget to put that top sheet on the bed. LOL Good boy, Lopez. Proud of you! Yay, food pics. So nice of him to send to us. Yes, the son should have stopped to chat with you! He won’t be able to do that very soon and should not miss a chance! Hope your day gets better! Hugs!

  7. Seriously sorry for #1-there will come a day when he will regret that driveby.............at least you have #2 and he seems very caring, always calling and sending you pictures....will be good for you both to live close to him...
It has been dreary here the last couple days, rain is on the way again, but is so dry in this state, we really need it.
Blessings on you Lynda....hope you get some help, even hired...with all the packing and so forth.
