Lopez has been "hoofing" it up the back road with me--AND HE DID WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO DO---good thing!!! And yesterday, I did get to the grocery store and got fruit etc-- A small order is now $200---- and probably still going up--but--- if you need it, you need it--
No snow yet falling outside here, but---- it is now on the weather map, northwest of us--so---- you know what that means--- It is only a matter of time! Lord love a Duck!
Son#2 is back home--- nice for him! He must be tired!--Anyway, a few "oldies" but "Goldies"--- about Elliot Lake---=Elliot Lake used to be known a the Uranium capital of the world--There were 12 Uranium mines open when we moved here--now all closed--It was a busy little town of 30,000 people-Below --a picture of the town when it was booming--I remember, when we first moved here, you never saw a woman with grey or white hair--It was a young population--
Is your day going well???---And if not, try -try -try--to make it a good day--because if you don't , no one else will--Confidence----NO CRYING!!!
Something to think about--
Good morning Lynda. What a great blog. I agree...a confident woman is BEAUTIFUL. And, that dear friend is YOU. Beautiful inside and out.
ReplyDeleteYour town used to be good sized. I do NOT like TV hill nor snow.
Good job on handling car payment switch plus plus plus. You CAN AND WILL get this moving project done. One good thing is there isn't a lot of time to ponder what's not going. Onward.
Glad pilot is home.
Have an amazing
positive, productive day!
Many big HUGS
Marge/St.Louis
That TV hill is about 6 lanes across now and all paved--but--yu are right--on a bad snowy day it can be a challenge to climb up it-L:ynda
DeleteMarvelous job you're doing, Lynda! With all the moving stuff, taking care of your brood, blogging...talk about strong women...that's you!
ReplyDeleteDidn't check last comments to see if you saw my later than late comment. I'm doing it early today!
Will do a bit of shopping today. Also on my agenda is dusting, maybe furniture polishing, tool. Only dresser and night stands require that. You can have Sadie for the day. I can dust myself.
Just finished a romp with Lucky so he is ready for his morning snooze. Mentioning Lucky reminds me...did you find a disposable litter tray for the move? I can send you one if you can't find one. Just remember to put of his used litter in there so she smells herself.
I'll check later again, as always. You may have a quite day (ahem) at home. Hope it goes well for all of you. {{{HUGS}}} Love, your sis, Maggie.
Yes--busy day--- Yu are so good to write---helps me take my mind off the move Maggie-- Hugs, Lynda
DeleteToday has been going much better than yesterday! Amazingly, the new outlet got wired, and the stove and 'fridge delivered and the old ones hauled away. Ember was a good girl both on her walk and after, napping in her crate while all the workmen came and went. I am waiting to let her out until I get the food back in the 'fridge, in about an hour.
ReplyDeleteLife goes on, doesn't it? We seem to age in whole communities, don't we? The young group together, and stay put until we are suddenly, as if by magic, "the old".
I knew Ember would be good--She is smart with a smart Mom-- Lynda
DeleteWhen we moved from Vermont to New Hampshire, we kept our Vermont Bank and I do all of my banking on line. I have only had to got to VT once in 6 years to a real office. Our pension and Social Security is directly deposited and I can pay almost all my bills on line. Sure saved a lot of hassle. It sounds like you are getting things done . . . time is flying by.
ReplyDeleteI would suggest that you try and use whatever you can from you cupboards between now and then so you have less food to pack. Like try and eat out of your freezer. I think I remember you saying you had one. I know things like bread and milk are necessary but the kitchen is a big deal for moving. Just a thought . . . .you are really doing well keeping it together. . . . moves are very stressful.
I think we will keep both accounts for now-- Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. So much to do. I hope your trip into town was successful. Our bank which is just down the road a bit has moved to another suburb further away. We don't have to go there very often but I will need to get some cash for the holidays! This morning after I got up I was so tired - so I went back to bed. The rest of the day is just trying to catch up! Love the old photos!
ReplyDeleteOh so good for yu to just go back to bed--Yu must've needed more rest-Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! I bet you won’t miss that steep road. I would not. Good little Lopez! Proud of how good he is now. I will be glad when Tommy settles down. He is 1 1/2. Totally obsessed with balls and wants to play fetch every minute or he whines. Kloi will be 9 in January so she just does her thing. It would be so nice if you come to Ohio again sometime! I will be happy for you when you get all your moving business done. You are doing it so well. How was your day? Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi--It was a busy day--always seems busy right now-- weather-wise--getting cold also--Lynda
DeleteHi Brenda--The changing banks takes a lot of time---Lynda
ReplyDeleteI am going to our pet store tomorrow looking for that disposable pet litter-- Whatta great idea--I need to crate her or tht long drive--- She will be so frightened-- Lynda
ReplyDeleteMaybe not, sis. She will hear your voice. Maybe music on the radio. Just try not to put her and Lopez too close together.
ReplyDeletelove the last part I choose thank you I am so exciter for you and the upcoming move
ReplyDeleteThank yu-- Lynda
DeleteI just watched the show about Elliot Lake on Still Standing on CBC, it was fun to learn about it. Hope you got a chance to see it too.
