Well, Lopez and I just returned from --well, you know---The walk to get him to do his business-AND HE DID!!--Yeahhhhhhh-- -
So, I am rushing around here, making the bed--folding the laundry--and hopefully can get to the grocery and return before Himself lets Lopez out of his crate--- I am going to go to "Foodland"--to-morrow to "No Frills"--We need the essentials-----like--freshly made bread--some cold meat--fresh lettuce--fruits--to-day--and the rest can wait till to-morrow---

I am posting a couple of old pictures--- The first one was taken many moons ago, down at our doc--Our family was considerably smaller--younger--with many large dogs --The 2 babies are now in University.

Very glad the election is over. Now it's just a matter of adjusting to the results. Sigh!

DeleteIt's Kathy. Yes, I am very happy the election is over, no more horrible political ads. I don't watch much live television but enough that I've seen some of those ads 100 times! This afternoon I have a dentist appointment for a cleaning. Never my favorite thing but something that needs to be done! Hope your shopping trip is successful and you enjoy Hair Day! My mom's Hair Day was on Thursdays too - she would drive through a blizzard to get her hair done!

My mother in-law from Minnesota text yesterday concerning the election, asking if I was house shopping in Canada to find one for her, too. I told her my friend just sold one we could have bought. ReplyDeleteMe, too. I got a call this morning that I could pick up my (fixed) car and return the loaner! They were saying it would be ready by the 13. It was earlier. I'm so happy!
Have dishes to do and a floor to clean, but I am so happy those chores don't even bother me.
Your photo of the family is wonderful. I am sure you can still name all the people. Maybe you could share that photo with the babies that are now furthering their education.
Th weather here is 10 degrees or so above freezing, it's mostly sunny and NO RAIN! The car place cleaned my car. It looks like new outside. Happy no rain is predicted until maybe Saturday night. It will stay pretty for at least a couple days.
I bet your No Frills store is like our Aldis...you bag your own groceries, no fancy displays, etc.

everyone looks so young. Such good memories, you must have looking at those old photos.
I am still trying to figure out how the citizens of our good country could elect a convicted felon. I guess we will find out what the next 4 years will bring. I believe the gap for the have's and have not's will
widen. Hubby wishes we could move to Canada, but not practical for us. My birthday is tomorrow, and at 73 I guess I shouldn't worry about what will happen in the next 4 years. I know my father is probably turning around in his grave. You cannot believe a word that trump utters but I do believe him when he says he will be a dictator for a day! He has nothing but hate in his heart and I am sure nothing will stop him from getting rid of his opponents. Wish us luck and know that not everyone thinks he was sent by God.

The election was so frustrating to watch. My family immigrated here from BERLIN in 1950, to get away from such crap, had to wait 3 years in a long list, and relatives had to pay several thousand dollars to bring us over. What hell my parents and other relatives went through, they did not all live, due to war and bombs falling. Half starving, Crazy Hitler, soldiers coming into apartments, chaos, if any one thinks that is fun and exciting, I wish them to die right now! There are lots of people looking at leaving, but most can’t do it, of course. I’m almost 78, alone, too bad for me. Take care, you Canadiens, Trump promised us you water, from a large FAUCET IN CANADA. THAT IS WHAT THAT ASS SAID! HE US ON DRUGS, KEEPS SECRETS. HUMBUG!

Many of us here in the U.S. are trying to understand how such a vile man was elected. If he does everything he's promised to do, we're in for a turbulent four years.
ReplyDeleteI am trying so hard not t comment on the election--kinda sad that so many people supported a kinda crazy person (my thoughts only)---He is going to slap tariffs on all Canadian products entering the US--so---guess it will cost us an arm and 2 legs now-- Certainly not impressed--And yersz--I have a new hair-do-- She cut it plus coloyred it-- feels so much better-- One good thing--Trump can never run again-- Lynda
