We all scream for ice cream!

Good morning--It is sunny and cold here --no snow---but feels like it might snow-- I hope not how ever  Lopez and I braved the elements--"hoofed" it up the back road and he did what he we supposed to do---a good wee boy!----AND--- more good news--  Son#2 the Pilot just landed in Sao Palo, Brazil--like "just" landed--flew all night--I saw his plane on the runway on "Flight Tracker". I am sure there will be food pictures later on--

We gave our enormous very old, TV away, to the cook at Himself's lodge--Last night he came out with his friend and they lugged it away--It works beautifully, but is enormous--We never ever use it---I am happy that someone appreciates it! I was downstairs watching them pull the speakers etc etc from the set and box them up to go also.

This whole process of "moving" is  very very slow--going--

--Just calling business's to have their services stopped is extremely time consuming---and it is time that I could be packing---but---- it has to be done---  frustrating tho that I cannot get it done faster--

Anyway, I have a few"oldies and oldies" to share with you--

This was at a wedding---Hannah is Son#2's daughter , and we were dancing--  Hannah is in her almost final year of University now-- Below is our daughter, with Himself, in Vancouver----That was such a fun trip we took--Son#3 the Pilot, actually flew us out to Vancouver--and our daughter flew intoVancouver , from Hawaii, where she was nursing--We had so much fun on that trip--as all 4 of us shared a suite --
The  picture above is of me--and Hannah, with 2 of our dogs-- on the famous raft ---We always considered the Shepherds , part of our family--

Are you feeling strong today?--Oh I hope so! -Are you feeling special?---  There is only one of you, in the whole wide world!---You have survived all these years for a reason--perhaps it was only to give a dog a home---To that dog, it is huge! ----  Perhaps it might be to call a friend once in awhile--- You have no idea what is going on in that friend' s life-- but your friendship just might be what he/she needs right now to get thru her day- To make it thru your day,  do something that makes you feel like a kid again--

Remember?----"I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream"

  1. Good morning, Lynda! Yes, let’s go for ice cream. So much good custard here in Ohio! It is supposed to snow here on Thursday! My 16 year old nephew will be coming for his Thanksgiving break. You know, the one that comes every Summer. I am super excited. I go for eye exam today. Never had my eyes dilated. I may chicken out on that part. Geez! Oh, food pics? Can’t wait. Wish we could come help you pack. Such a hectic time for you. So sorry but it will get better. Have a great day. Hugs and ice cream! You deserve it!:)

  2. It's Kathy. I can only imagine how much work it is to cancel and change everything that's been in place for years and years. But you are getting it done, one business at a time! I wish I was close and could help you pack - I've done that for so many moves my daughter Lauriellen has made and she has a lot of stuff! This last move we had it easy, just had to watch the boys for the day! We will have a nice weekend but then it's going to start raining and likely turn into snow by the end of the week. I could sure live without snow! Have a good day!

moving and packing is slow and I wish I could get rid of some more of my junk...my one room is too full and can't even bring my blooming Cactus in here, no room. oh well-no rent, I suppose that part is good...I need to donate stuff, like book collections etc. and am looking for someone who wants some different things...
Good luck/give away as much as you can.

  5. Things are so topsy-turvey just now, but just think...six months from now! Settled in to the area you're moving to, hopefully having a bit less stress because of not needing to do so much outside work.

    Happy Saturday!

  6. Finding a new home for our "old" stuff is a special kind of victory, isn't it? May your old TV have happy years in its new home!

  7. Hi Lynda, so glad cook could use the old TV. Couldn't give him anything else lol
Moving, purging is a huge job. Sure wish pilot could come get us to help. We'd have ice cream afterwards.
You're making lots of progress with your "list" and yes, it's time consuming. Keep plugging away. It will get done. Proud of you.
Thanks for inserts and pics. Food pics will be coming soon. That man/boy of yours does like food and McDonalds.
Sadie worked her butt off today. She said she's not coming back until Monday 😁
    Enjoy your evening.
Lots of big hugs to you dear friend.

  8. Sis, I am sorry for posting so late.
It was a strange day. My Social Security check did not post, Sadie did not show up, we went to karaoke and they had bingo! We would have had to wait 1 1/2 hours to sing. We just came back home.
I checked earlier, but there was no blog yet...don't remember if I checked later on or not...I was so involved with other projects.
Will look forward to food photos.
Himself on the bike with Hannah? Love the smiles!
Yes, packing and moving are such chores, you for sure don't want to do it more than a couple times in a lifetime.
Very late here and Lucky needs a romp before bed. I will sign off and remind you on tomorrow's comment that I posted late. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
