It's a new day--

Good Day---You are out of bed---  This day has begun--- and to-day is going to be a good day--I am back home now so will add some to the blog---
As we were going out to the car, it was snowing, in the air---not staying on the ground--Yikes eh?

So, Himself is at his Day Program--and he seemed happy to go--I see there is another Seniors place, just behind where we will be living--and I hear they run a Seniors Day Program--I will call them---

So, how was your Halloween?--How much chocolate did you eat?--  This is the first year ever, that I did not devour even one chocolate bar-(probably because the Doctor- put me on a heart medication)--Unbelievable!
Below are some "Halloween " pictures from over the years----

To change topics here, we now have a mover, who will be here Dec. 5th--and we leave a few days after the mover--The whole thing is kinda scare-y--I feel like I am literally  from the back woods , of Canada-like "the country mouse moving to the city"----Well, I guess I really am!--

I know almost everyone here in town, so when , I needed to change a "moving date" etc---yesterday I just called the lawyer, and requested it---  I heard from Son#2 very quickly, telling me that I cannot mess with the planned dates etc---I felt kinda bad-------  but , this is a small community --That same lawyer called me later on, telling me that whatever I asked him to change , was just fine-in fact he would drive all the paper work out here to our home and we could all discuss it--In fact, he wanted to see Himself anyway. he said---to, "chew the fat" s Dad used to say--
--Things seem to be done differently in a small town, than in a large city-
I must continue on here--just remember-
You are way stronger than you know--- braver--smarter--and loved--- Never ever forget that!!
--I'll check in this evening--see how you got thru the day--

  3. You're right, Lynda. I am about to go get my rental car so the body shop can fix mine. Just hafta come up with the $1000 deductible. It will happen. Even if I can't pay rent again.
Hope you and yours have an awesome day, too!
Does Himself go to his program? Hope so. {{{HUGS}}} Love, your sis, Maggie.

  4. It's Kathy. I'm glad you settled on a mover. Now the fun part - purging! I have been trying to do that for years. I get a little bit done and then something happens like another surgery. I went to the grocery store yesterday - it was quite the experience! It's been over 2 months since I've been able to buy my own groceries! But I had a lot of pain during the night - woke my husband up crying. The pain is starting to go away finally. We still have some snow on the ground but most has melted away. The sunshine helps and tomorrow sunny and warmer! I'm glad himself was happy to go to the Day Center. It's good to get out now and then! Have a wonderful day!

  5. I'm glad things are moving along getting ready for the move, and that Himself was glad to go to his outing. It's good for him to socialize and a break for you, even though transporting adds to your day.

Son #2 may have worried about the date change in case in caused a hiccup in the overall arrangements... in terms of the sale/move/clear-out. Could he be concerned about too many changes as he and his wife will need to arrange work schedules for the closing and moving dates?

We got quite a few, trick or treaters, although not as many as last year, but enough to leave only a little bit in the bowl out of five big bags. As always, we had from littles in strollers to older teens ... my policy is if you come to my door I'll give you candy even if you have a beard. Teaching middle school and high school for so many years, I know those older ones like getting candy even though they're maybe too old. We put a baby gate inside our front door frame so our dogs can see the people, and get pets from the braver ones.

My Grandma Smith used to laugh and tell us about when she was an army wife in Germany, early '50s. She and two girlfriends put on masks and visited neighboring Army housing neighbors with cocktail glasses in hand singing out "Trick or treat!" She said the neighbors did not disappoint and they all had a good time. :D

  6. Yes, seems like a great idea to continue day care when you move. It seems to help him so much . . . and will give YOU some much-needed YOU time, too.

VERY happy you have a mover for 05 December. Awesome job.

Things in the universe are lining up. Good!

HUGS and hope you get a chance to at least breathe.

    Blessings

  7. I am so glad your helpers in the small town know, respect, and honor you and Himself. I hope the same will be true in your new digs!

  8. Wow! Yep, that sure is different. When I've sold houses, I deal with the real estate person, and then have to wait at least 2 months for the closing, and the home inspections, while they do all the paperwork, yada yada. I'm always in a big hurry to move on to the next place, and the wait seems interminable! Lawyers, I don't even have a lawyer! I don't know anybody in town. I've lived here 5 years now, and don't know anybody but the few people I've met that live in the condo community, and that's from the people who walk their dogs around the loop and from having gone to the parties at the clubhouse.
