Today is going to be a perfect day!

Hawaii--probably --Kailua Beach--- (Spelt wrong)--Our daughter was a nurse at   Tripler Medical Hospital-in Hawaii--so,  we made many trips there to visit her--absolutely loved the people in Hawaii, and the food--a very long flight  to get there--I doubt if I could do that  now--and---we swam with many of these Sea Turtles-in the picture below----(They really don't fly like in the picture)

So, why am I late posting--AGAIN??--because I had to go to renew my Drivers Licence---and you have to sit in on a  wee course--with a vision test and a cognitive test---  I passed both---  so--the new licence will arrive in about  2 weeks--- It will be renewed for 2 more years.

I left Lopez in his crate with specific instructions to Himself, to NOT LET HIM OUT , till I return---and lo and behold, he did not let the wee boy out--So, Lopez and I just hoofed up the road and back--He is a good little lad!--I also had to stop at the car dealer, before coming home, to get the sensors in the winter tires done--- so, that is over with---The dealer there had a dog crate in his office but I couldn't see a dog in the crate. I asked him what kind of dog he had--He replied--"an invisable dog"--made me laugh---

The above is so true isn't it??  Do you talk to your pets?- I always have--- I swear that when I told Lopez I was going to return this morning, he understood and apparently was very good  for Himself--

So, the days are busy here--- just for a short time, until we settle in the small community of Lakefield, Ontario---Keep your chin up--(Dad's expression) Your election is nearly over and with any kind luck, it will be a perfect day--

                                                                        Oh--almost forgot--

  1. It's Kathy. We just got back from voting AND picking up some medicine for Daisy for $150.00! YIKES! Then she needs to see the Vet again in a month which will probably also cost $150.00... or more since we have to see the Vet. We love her so much but we are not very happy with the Veterinarian we've had since she was born. I'm going to have to find someone else to take her to for her next check up. The Vet we've seen most up there is no longer seeing patients and the person we had last week I didn't like at all! But voting is done and now we just wait! It's raining here, probably all day. I'm glad I'm in for the rest of today! I agree, we can tell a persons heart by how they treat animals!

  2. I remembered to post my name instead of anonymously like I did yesterday! Some days I think I must be losing my mind! Lopez was such a good little dog to stay in his crate and wait for you! And congrats for passing your driver's test! Raining here - has been for two days and my rain gauge shows over 7 inches! Lots of creeks and rivers are out of their banks! So glad I voted early so I don't have to go out today! Took my 2 cats to the vet yesterday! What a hassle, I can barely lift them when they are in those big carriers! Fortunately the ladies at the vet's office helped me! Both cats are doing fine and are in good health. They didn't even flinch when Dr. gave them their rabies shots! One weighs 16.2 pounds and the other 19.5 pounds! They are big cats but they are great company for me so they are worth the $229.00 vet bill! Whew!

  3. Great blog, sis! I am surprised that you found the time to write it.
Rainy here still. Lopez would not like to go out in it. Lucky doesn't go out.
Just came back from taking a friend to vote. I did it by 'early voting' 2 weeks ago. I did a bit of shopping just before that.
Will vacuum later if Sadie will help shove that big thing around. It works great, just hard for me to maneuver.
Can hardly wait for election results. I voted for women's rights, GLBTQ+ rights, unions, racial equality, keeping food stamps, medicaid and medicare going...
I have friends (my 2 'adopted daughters' who have been married for 10 years) that plan to move to Canada if they need to...to avoid their rights ending.
On a positive note, I bet they won't have to do that.
Finishing a sandwich, then snoozing with Lucky.
Hope you get a chance for rest and relaxation, too. Will check back later. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  4. I talk to our dogs all the time. I also hug them, and kiss them on top of their heads. They provide companionship when I'm at home and need it; they're work but so worth it.

  6. I looked up Lakefield and it sounds like it has pretty much everything you need and it looks like a pretty town, with some fun places to visit, so hopefully you will settle in and enjoy it there. Glad Lopez is behaving himself and you passed your test!

  7. That’s wonderful that you got your drivers license renewed for another 2 yrs. Yeah for you!

Yes, the election is winding down but . . . probably won’t know the results for several days, at least. But as long as it is honest, fair, accurate, willing to wait the wait!

So happy that Lopez behaved for Himself. PHEW. That’s huge.

Hope you’re getting a breather in between all your packing, etc.

  8. Of course I talk to Ember (you knew it, didn't you?) I narrate what we see as we go on our morning walk. "We have to wait, there's a car coming." "OK, now it's our turn to cross-cross" "No dawdling in the street, all the way to the sidewalk"... etc. "You see a squirrel? He's doing squirrel things. You're doing doggy things."

I'm sure people would think I was crazy if they were not also "dog people"! LOL.

  9. Hi Lynda,
Congratulations on passing drivers exam. That's very important.
Leaving Lopez home in the cage is a great plan. No problem for Lopez nor Fred.
We've had 7 inches of rain, tornado warnings and flooding in the area. No rain at all in October and now it won't stop. Everything is fine at my house but not for everyone. Thankful it's not snow.
Hawaii looks so spectacular. After the move you'll be ready to sit on a warm beach.
    Happy purging.
    Stay positive and strong.

  10. Hi Lynda: Hawaii looks so nice!! But way too far to travel for me. Congrats on passing your drivers test. Now you don't have to worry for a couple of years. Today was such a nice day - wish it would last but I think that's about it til spring. Love your last meme about a hug. You have so much to do for the next month. Good luck. Hugs Brenda
