Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. I understand how you feel with the other dogs going home. Sometimes we watch Annie who is Daisy's sister. She's really no trouble at all and the 2 girls still love each other, but I am always happy when she goes home with my son and his family! We have sunshine today but it's really cold outside! No snow yet other than on Halloween! That's a blessing! I hope you get done what you want to get done today! So many things to think about!
ReplyDeleteAll the dogs are good--just one more thing to take care of --very cold outside here also--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda....its Monday in the states...but that's ok if you'd like it to be Sunday. Whatever makes you happy. 😁
ReplyDeleteLove the pic of the 2 granddads...and yes, Fred does look good.
Glad the dogs went home. Much easier for you.
Out with the 500 pair of shoes. Keep purging. You are doing great!!!
Keep "getting your shit together" lol
Great inserts. Stay happy, positive and strong. You ARE very much loved.
Hugs dear amazing lady

Sounds like you have a pretty busy agenda planned for today! I know what you mean about not minding taking care of your son's dogs - I used to take care of my best friend's cat - for months sometimes while they were in FL for the winter! I loved her, but was always happy when she went home...plus my two spoiled cats were not always the nicest to her! I think they were jealous that she got some of my lap time too! hahaha! I shampooed my family room carpet yesterday - so that I could put up my Christmas tree today! My hubby always liked to put it up on Veterans Day - and he always shampooed the carpet before putting it up - so in his memory, I carry on with his traditions!
ReplyDeleteGlad your canine company has now gone home. PHEW.
ReplyDeleteFantastic pictures from the past! Always sweet!
Hugs and happy remembrance day.

Short but sweet blog, Lynda...like you!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy day for you...as usual. Would like to be able to see what a No Frills store is like.
Love the photos! I have lots of old family photos on my pc, too, but can't figure out how to post them here.
I've been busy, too. Have already been to my favorite grocery/drug/ restaurant store for the free Veteran's breakfast. (Veterans day here...like your Remberance Day, I guess. Except we celebrate those vets who died in service on Memorial Day in May. Veteran's Day if for those of vets still living). OMG, do they put on a spread! I had scrambled eggs, a large sausage link, cheesy hash brown potatoes, fresh fruit, a biscuit and gravy, an iced brownie and coffee. It's a wonder I can still move. On the way home I stopped at my gas station, food store. There I got a free breakfast sandwich (saving it for tomorrow) and cup of coffee. I have to go back out cuz I forgot to stop at Hair Cuttery for my coupon for a free hair cut.
Joining the Army was one of the best things I have ever done.
Where are you dropping your shoes off? For charity, probably.
It's hard clearing stuff out. Even if you know it's what you must do. I'm doing that, too.
I put in my order for a free Thanksgiving meal that is given free to seniors. It's nothing like what a family would have, but it's something. I may still hear from my daughter inviting me to her home for that day.
My adopted daughters are coming here for a visit this afternoon.
My poor Lucky kitty is asking for attention. He feels he is being neglected today. He's right. Will attempt to change that before I head out again.
Hope your busy day goes smoothly. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
I backed out of keeping Carl for the whole 10 day "family wedding" journey that "the kids" and my co-inlaws went on. I figured with the cataract surgery being just a week before, I wasn't up to it. I am relieved, too, because I know how much work adding a dog can be!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back to the "norm" of one dog, one cat, and two humans! Hope you get out to No Frills! And yes, remembering the Veterans, including my son and his father, this day!
Marti here. I envy your big family! I was an only, and only my mother raised me. We led a very quiet life. She worked and then was tired when she came home. I didn't know my Dad. My mom had me at 40 and her sister had two children much much younger. My Grandmother was around until I was 12, and my Aunt and Grandfather also died around that time. My Uncle died a long time ago, he had married again.
ReplyDeleteSo I had 2 cousins - the one died about 2 yrs ago at 80 something, my other cousin is still kicking at 80. I'm 66. So my only family left is my cousin and she lives about 45 minutes away. I couldn't drive there to see her if I wanted to, I don't drive back roads or freeways. We still get together with my cousin's 2nd wife and her son on holidays. I'll be making green bean casserole and going to her house in about 2 weeks now for Thanksgiving. Someone else will drive me. Driving Miss Daisy, ever see that movie? That's how I feel sometimes, LOL.
Hi Lynda! It was nice in Ohio today so I got lots and lots of errands done. I did not sleep good last night so I am impressed that I got so much done. I know you have lots to do! You are doing it so well! Love your family pics. So nice to have the memories. I look foward to your move being complete and you having a warm, relaxing Winter! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda: Glsd the other dogs went home. I guess they won't be happy about losing their dog sitter. Great pictures. Nice of himself to make a pot of soup on his day off. I guess daycare was closed because of Remembrance Day. Have good night. Brenda
