We believe what we tell ourselves.

   Good Day to you all--
Everyday seems to be busier than the previous day--- It's changing the banking info which is the worst--Sometimes I am on the phone for over an hour, with, say--the car payment--(as an example)- and I have had to drive down to the financial institution also, but-- it still has road blocks--very frustrating--AND---  no Day Program for Himself as the Head Leader is ill--

The good news is, Lopez and I have "hoofed" it up the road-AND all went well---He is a good wee boy--but---  he is a Chihuahua--- Always be aware that  a Chihuahua  is a Chihuahua ----  an aggressive little guy--NEVER TRY TO PAT A CHIHUAHUA---He is a "biter"----People continually ask if they can pat him and I tell them--"NO"!

I found some "Oldies but Goldies"---buried deep into this computer---Fun to look back and see them--

Obviously, it was Christmas long go--No more babies now---but --they were fun years---happy years--=No-one talked back to us--LOL-- And just look below----  Our daughter's little girl, on her Dad's lap, with a Rice Cooker on her head--and it looks perfectly normal----
And--here is Himself--so happy, holding our daughter's son-- who is happy also--I love that picture--
Is your day going well?--If not, "MAKE IT GO WELL?---Do not allow anyone to get you down--Maybe call some of your old buddies--- and dance up a storm--or --"YOU" just turn up the music, and go crazy--let it all hang out-Sometimes one needs to  do that--
I must get back to my "moving business"--Will it ever be nice to just get there.  l will have the rest of my life to sort stuff out, won't I?---  Maybe all of you will come and give me a hand--- (as if eh?)_

  1. Good morning, Lynda! I’m sure all of us would love to be able to give you a hand. You can spend the winter organizing in no rush and by spring you will be free as a bird and happy as a lark! Keep your eye on the prize! Snow is gone in Northeast Ohio but up by the lake it is quite bad and lots with no power. My first yorkie was not fond of strangers petting him but my two now beg for attention from anyone. I was thinking you should probably get a travel med from the vet for Lopez and Sushi. Sorry no program for Fred today. Have a fabulous Friday! Hugs!

  2. LOL! I would never ask to pat a Chihuahua! I know better! Today we had a hard freeze, and you know what? I was counting my blessings and found a reason to be thankful for the cold temperatures... it makes Ember's poo easier to clean up!

  3. Hi Lynda, we do believe what we tell ourselves and we believe YOU GOT THIS!
    No lodge today..bummer.
I, too, like the pic of himself with grand. Nice memories.
Maybe we can all come and help you unpack...a welcome home party complete with singing and dancing.
Keep plugging away. It will all get done and fall into place. You are strong, positive and patient. It will work out.
Have an amazing day. Stay positive and happy. Dance away and sing loudly.
    Big hugs from St.Louis
    Love, Marge

  4. It's Kathy. I love Friday's! They are usually calmer days for me. Today is all about catching up on all the things I didn't get to do all week long. Tom and I made a trip to Costco and it was very pleasant - apparently the best time to go is right after dinner! Just had a few things to pick up, including a new tablet for my Christmas gift! I'm glad little Lopez did what he was suppose to do this morning. Daisy's been restless today, she's wanted to go outside 3 times already and it's not even noon yet! Good luck with your moving chores! It will all get done in time, of that I'm sure!

  5. Another great blog, Lynda. How we look forward to these!
    The photos are wonderful.
If I was going to change where my car payment came from, I would just go to their website and choose 'change method of payment,' enter the info for my new checking account, debit or credit card. Did you try to do it online?
I know of one Chihuahua who is such a love. She will let you pet her and love her up anytime. 'Course she already knows me. I do think they take longer to 'warm up' to a new human friend.
I've already been out to pick up a Walmart order. There are a couple things I forgot, so will need to place another order. Sigh.
Sometimes it seems like things will never get completely done, huh?
I am sure Himself is missing his program. Hope the leader gets well quickly. He probably only has a very few times left to attend.
Eating lunch now. A delivered meal that was given to me due to the resident who was to get it being out of town.
You will be 'happy as a clam' when your move is complete. Then comes setting up all your 'stuff.' Wish I could come help.
You're right about what we tell ourselves, etc. A belief is only a thought we continue to think. We can change them.
I'll check back later, sis. Have a great day! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  6. No more babies in our family either....all the grandkids are growing up way too fast! So great that you have all those nice pictures saved on your computer! Glad to know you don't have to pack up everything as the you are having movers doing it! The books and blogs I have been reading about decluttering make the point that "less is more"! The more you have the more time you have to take to deal with it. The less stuff you have, the more time you have to enjoy yourself with less to take care of! So keep donating and giving away any and all the stuff you don't want to have to take care of anymore!

  7. Oh, the picture of you happy husband holding the happy grandbaby! Such a sweet one.

Yes, it seems Chihuahuas are more snappy/bitey and take longer to warm up to new people. Most I've been around regularly let me pet them, but I always let them (or any dog really) signal they want my pet even after their person says it's okay. The nice thing is, he's decided you are his person, so is such a good companion to you.

It probably feels like every day goes a little faster with all you have to do ... and then suddenly the day will be here for the big journey. And like you said, you can take things slowly placing and arranging things. And since you won't have yard work, snow-shoveling, etc., anymore ...you'll be less frazzled as you sort things out on the other end. And, hopefully you can find a program for your husband quickly when you get there, so that some of the things can be done without him there ... change is hard for folks with memory issues. I wonder if son#2 and wife have any friends there who can make recommendations about a day program for him?

    Happy Friday!!

  8. Hi Lynda: Pay attention to your last meme - you can do it! When I had to move, I thought I had lots of time but before you know it, it disappears and the day arrives so hopefully all the banking stuff doesn't take too much longer as I'm sure you have tons of stuff to sort through then pack. Great family pics. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda
