It has been a very busy day, but--FINALLY --I have taken a few minutes to say hello to you all--I have not stopped all day--it seems--!-
Himself had to be taken to the "Foot Lady" this AM-- so I did some banking while he was there--at our new bank---then returned to pick him up-- By that time it was noon---This afternoon I did get more junk tossed out--and boxed up a bit of things-- And in between all of this, Lopez was out--then in--then out -- and in--It is dark here now at 5pm--- early--
After supper I will read your comments-- I notice there are more , added to yesterdays blog----So, I missed chatting to you all this morning--but, I did get Himself to town---
I can say that to-day I tried to go easy on myself---Did you?---Once in awhile that is a good thing ---To-night we re having bacon and fried eggs for supper--trying to use up the food in the Frig--
So, here are a couple of "oldies and Goldies "pictures--
I hope that your day was special--
It's 5:10 here. I just checked again...and here you are!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got stuff done, but didn't overdo it? You're Wonder Woman in my eyes!
Seems they are realizing regular karaoke people aren't coming cuz of bingo. They are having it 6-11 tonight! I am gobbling some of our free thanksgiving meal from the city...JoAnne will expect me downstairs to load her walker in my car in about 17 minutes. I gotta fly. SO COLD here. I'm wearing fleece lined leggings under sweatpants...
I'll check back here after karaoke.
Love you guys. Hope your chores are done for the day! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

DeleteHowdy Lynda, it's Marti! We watched THE Ohio State University lose for the 4th time playing Michigan, we were 34 point favorites. By 3 measly points we lost. We dashed out to do errands - the pharmacy, Kroger to get gas, and then grocery shopping, $206 just for me for ONE week. Got the ingredients to make a recipe my bf and I make once or twice a year in winter - called Game Day Chili, in the pressure cooker. He does all the chopping for me, which I'm not good at, and I put all the stuff in the Instant Pot. It's about done. It sure smells good. Yesterday I wore myself out putting up Christmas decorations indoors and out. He helped bring in all the boxes from the garage. Maybe I already said this, because it sounds familiar, LOL. I'm always feeling scatterbrained! It's been a wonderful 4 day weekend, have tomorrow still, and then have to go back on Monday to work. It's very cold here. 28 degrees, with a very stiff wind. BUT no snow.
ReplyDeleteYU are definitely NOT scatter brained-LOL-Man oh man--YU did a lot-Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Sounds like you got a lot done today. Good for you! Every little bit you can do ahead of time will make the actual move so much easier. Although I haven't moved in almost 43 years so what do I know! I spent the day just taking care of things that needed to be done. Daisy also wanted to go out more than usual and it's so cold right now. It was only 12 degrees when we got up with a wind chill of -8. I am not ready for that! Relax and take care of yourself this evening! You've earned it.
ReplyDeleteHard to move--I recommend youstay where yu are--LOL--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! Good for you going easy on yourself! Yes, I did the same. After weeks of a cold and cough, I finally got an antibiotic, prednisone and inhaler. It is cold in Ohio but I went to the doctor anyways. I thought they were closed. No patients were there. They took me right in and out. So nice! Never happens that way. Hopefully, I will shake it soon. My nephew leaves in the morning! I will miss him but back on the 19th for his Christmas break. Gosh, the days are counting down for you! It will be so nice to just get there! Stay strong! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda, you got enough done today. I like that...whatever got done is enough.
ReplyDeleteSnowing in St.Louis and you know I hate that stuff. It's only 3 inches but that's enough for me.
My other Canadian friend in London, Ontario is getting a ton of snow.
I can't wait for you to get settled in your new place.
Take care of yourself.
Thank you for the blog. We know you are super busy.
Love, Marge St.Louis
Good for you Marge to get done all yu did! And ye, it is cold!--Yu know someone in London, ONTARIO_-NICE!--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: You are incredible to do all you do. Hope your not getting anymore snow that needs shoveling. I think we're supposed to get some this week. Just try to do a little packing every day. I think you've only got about about a week left. And no reason you can't have breakfast food for dinner! Have a good night. Brenda
ReplyDeleteHowdy Brenda--Yes breakfast for dinner--LOL--=Lynda
DeleteRock on Lynda....glad you are getting rid of stuff you don't use..I found if I had not used in 5 years I probably never would..gave a lot to both the kids..so I still can use some of my things..
ReplyDeleteWe are getting snow here today....mostly was flurries earlier, but is really coming down now.
Have you chosen new physicians in your new location yet?
It is 10PM here, so you are likely to have retired for the day, just wanted to say hi....the time is getting close for you, it is just so hard to believe tomorrow is December 1st.....David loved the snow and going out and driving around...he would have likely sat down with me with a coffee or hot chocolate and watched it...it is hard to believe he will soon be gone 2 years...gosh how time flies...
Keep us posted as you can, and we are praying for you & Himself...
Thank yu or praying for me--I need it==REALLY I DO!--<LYNDA
DeleteYou're getting it done. And you know, sometimes good enough is good enough. Once the fog surrounding the move lifts, you will be exploring your new surroundings, finding Lopez-friendly walking routes, new stores for groceries and clothing, a new hair person (maybe time to let those curls go free?). Sadie the Cleaning Lady will get a break, too, as she won't have to devote as much time for those chores. Just think, a Christmas without the stress, and a winter without shoveling snow and wrangling with a generator. Focus on the good things to come. Son #2 has turned out to be the son we all wish we had in our lives -- bless that boy. Hugs to you. / Leslie
ReplyDeleteGood for you getting done what you did! And that's a LOT. Pretty soon it will be settling in. Do take care of yourself.
