Don't allow the chocolate stuff too get to yer body!

Happy Halloween--but-----It's a bad time for  sugar overload-- Lord love a Duck! How am I ever going to get thru the next few days?-----All the work I have put in and if I don't "stick to my guns" (as Mom used to say)-I will look like Bertha Blimp AGAIN! ---
This was me at 217  with Himself and my SIL----My Blood Pressure was probably sky high--

This was me in Florida with my Mom and Dad, married , after 2 children---  healthy---low blood pressure-
Now do I really want to look like Bertha Blimp AGAIN?----  NO NO N O! ---So, I am going out shortly to buy a watermelon and to talk to myself that I MUST EAT HEALTHY--THAT ALL THAT HALLOWEEN STUFF must be a ploy TO GET ME FAT -----and I can be stronger than all that!
Little Lopez says hello---and--son #2, just called me from Rome--says it is 4-30 am---and all is well--will be back to Toronto to-morrow to hand out candy at his house--
Beau is doing well--- Praise the Lord!-- And we have sunshine--- so---- I shall not let the  lack of chocolate stuff  get me down--I am a wise person---I know better!---

  1. You are still the same beauty today as in the previous years u posted here this morning. You have inspired me to try to ignore the halloween candy sitting in the bowl for tomorrow's trick or treaters. I always buy only the candies that I like. HMMMM. . . wonder why? Confession: some years I had to go out and buy more candy because someone ate most of them before halloween. HMMM. . Wonder who????

  2. You don’t get any Trick or treaters at your house, because you are too far out. So no need to buy any candy in the first place. Period. And that is that. We don’t get any truck or treaters here, either. So we have no candy. Plus I’m in Texas, where Covid is still bad, can’t even go inside a grocery store yet. Do not buy any! Save your money.

  3. I made the mistake of buying candy that I like and some of it is already missing. Great pictures. Through the years and extra pounds you are still the same wonderful woman! Enjoy your day.

  4. You are beautiful inside and out no matter the number. BUT...there's that big butt lol...dont buy candy and problem is solved. If grands come over, give them money 💰 I don't buy candy as I'll get what I like and eat it all. Bad plan.
Glad Beau is better. Lopez is cute. Has Fred warmed up to Lopez Yet?
Pilot son sure gets around...exciting life if he ever gets to see much of the cities he visits...not at 4am for sure.
Have a great day. You ARE wise so skip the candy purchase. Save that money for a new outfit for you!

  7. Halloween candy isn't really a problem for me. We never have trick or treaters here in the sticks so I buy candy just in case that Al likes and I am not tempted to eat it. Rain here today and tomorrow then nice on Monday. Happy Halloween

  9. I thought you didn't get kids as you are out in the stix! Therefore don't buy it and you won't be tempted. If no kids come give it to the grands asap. Lopez is a cutie. Is he starting to settle down at all? Beau would definitely appreciate that!

  10. I don't have to worry about the chocolate, we do not have any trick or treaters that come to our house so will not be buying any.

  13. We don’t need to buy candy here as no kids to come around. We go to my daughter’s house and I go out with my grandson. He only goes to a few houses and then decides he has enough. Wait until he gets a bit older then he will get as much as he can. I know I’ll eat a few pieces there but it’s better than have lots left in my house. Lopez looks so cute and I’m glad Beau is doing well. 👍🍫

  14. Little Lopez is looking adorable!

You are doing well, and you CAN stay away from the candy! It's not easy, but I choose the hard of not eating the candy vs. the hard of what the extra added pounds do to my body!

Have a HEALTHY Halloween! Don't let that chocolate goblin getcha!

    1. I know you can do it! We used to buy candy "just in case" because we live on a very busy road and rarely get trick or treaters - now I find it's better to just leave it at the store!

  16. You know that having a piece or two of chocolate won't make you Bertha the Blimp! Not that you ever were. Stick to your guns and decide if you'll. have some candy and how much. Not easy. you can do it!!!

  17. Enjoyed your blog. I don't dare have dark chocolate in the house or potato chips. My relationship with either of those is not a good thing. Kudos for the success you have accomplished and I encourage you to keep up the hard work. You will continue until you meet your goal

  18. I didn't even buy chocolate. We get very few kids here in our senior building. I'd like to think that, if I buy it on sale after Halloween, I could stop at only one or two min-bars, but....maybe I'd just better not buy it.

    Happy you are all well. Sushi, too, I trust. {{{HUGS}}}

  21. Any hints to lower blood pressure? No candy here condos do not have trick or treaters. I gave money for the children's party in Chicago Heights.
