It's not easy being Married --at times!

It's great to have a surprise in the morning-- The surprise was a text from Son #2, the Pilot, en route  to Doha, Qatar. This was at 5-30am. ---- I had just followed his route,  on the I Mac, and it looked like he was over Africa--- so, how could he be there  right now, to text me---  ?

--That was what I was thinking when the text came in!

"Hi Mom", he said in his text, "I am over Greece , and am using a bit of their WIFI---thought I'd text before I go to bed."------  Holy cow eh! ---  Whatta surprise! I am always so happy to know how he is doing, so far from home.  He did say that the flight was pretty full-- a 13 hr flight--with 4 pilots.

This is Lopez, at his crazy worst--- playing with his toys, this morning--Crazy little fella has a ton of energy first thing in the morning!

Himself seems OK ---no irregular heart beat ----but--He refuses to listen to anything I tell him about cutting back on his medication--(I think he cut it back too drastically!)---I was telling Son #2 that  as he was flying over Greece--  Son #2 said, "But Mom, you have 2 strikes against you--

#1.--He is a Doctor, so he won't listen to a Nurse-(That is me)----and #2., he is Chinese, and Chinese men don't ever listen to their wives, or any woman for that matter."-

- Now isn't that just the truth?------So whatever happens--happens---  Lord love a Duck! It isn't easy being married at times!

  1. Good morning Lynda. Son #2 is a wise man and his 'two strikes' makes sense. Do what you can for Fred, but know he won't listen.

Little Lopez has stolen my heart! He is so loveable, so cute, so cuddly!!

Enjoy your Sunday & don't worry, all is well.

    Hugs to all of you.

  2. It is difficult for you because of your two strikes and there really isn't much you can do. Take each day as it comes and know you are doing your best to help Himself. I look forward to the daily pictures of Lopez and seeing his sweet face. Enjoy your day.

  3. Little Lopez is THE cutest ball of energy...I know he keeps you hopping BUT he must keep life interesting! As far as Fred...your son summed it up...not much you can do...
but, I know that will not keep you from worrying. Take some time for you to enjoy this day, OK?! Hugs, Eissa7

  4. Stay calm Lynda. No sense getting all stressed. Some things...and some people...you cannot change so may as well just accept life as it is. Hug that puppy, give Big Beau a hug too, pet sweet Sushi and play the piano like there is no tomorrow.

  6. Maybe someone else could talk to your husband. It’s usually those closest that they don’t want to listen to!🀷‍♀️

  9. As your Mother would say, “you made your bed, now lie in it”……business as usual. At least Lopez is entertaining you first thing in the morning! Makes you smile.
How interesting to see wherever your pilot son goes!

  11. Hope himself knows exactly what he is doing. As for listening, I think all men have that trait in common.

  12. So, does Son #2 who is half-Chinese listen to his wife half the time?!

When my youngest sister was caring for her elderly in-laws in very poor health in her home while she worked full-time on a night shift (one a diabetic on daily dialysis & other with dementia), her favorite phrase became "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink" as her way of lessening her personal stress over them.

Take some special moments just for yourself to recharge.

  13. **SIGH** Son #2 nailed it. Himself is not going to listen to you, unfortunately. So . . . nothing you can do about that. But I know you'll monitor him. Closely.

OH my gosh, little Lopez is just handsome! I love that look he's giving. LOL

(((HUGS))) Do your best. Know you're NO ALONE!

  16. LOL, Son #2 πŸ˜‚

The only way it could be worse, is if “himself” is a son #1... πŸ˜‰ (then he won’t listen to ANYONE!) ❤️

  21. I understand your concerns about the changes in the personality of "Himself". My husband becomes irritated when I try to help him figure out why he's feeling "dizzy' "weak" "is having so many dreams". I've written all of his medications on a list with a description of what each one is for. We've actually gone to the E.R. four times since the Pandemic began. Our husbands are so lucky they have "caring wives" like you and I!!!

  22. A very wise son. Medical people really don't like to be given advice but figure we know what our bodies need. Have worked with many and their attitudes!
Lopez is such a cutie when playing! Great pictures!

  23. Your number 2 son is so right, he actually gave me a reminder when it comes to my mother, who will not listen or do anything I may suggest. Different reasons but she won't listen nonetheless.

  24. The pictures of Lopez are so cute and your sons information (I can't imagine a man of all things realizing that)I think your son is right. You have two strikes against you.

  25. Lynda, you are lucky that you can talk to your son about your concerns. Sometimes men won't listen...thats true. But,if Fred is behaving out of character it might be something else.
    Please take care of you.
Lopez is cute. Hoping Fred warms up to the litle guy.
I couldnt post yesterday...wouldn't let me....thought I'd see if it works today.
