I think , I think too much--and more---

You see, I figure if I really think about what the day will bring, then the day will go alright-- that it takes planning--The sad part however is, that on many days, "stuff happens"----"Stuff" that was not planned---like yesterday-----Himself . Lopez. Beau, and myself, were all settled down for a wee nap after lunch----when Beau began to bark--

"Oh no!" I said--"Someone is here!"----- and---- there was----  Son #4 and his son were here to get rid of the leaves on the lake side of the house--- I really was so happy--because, that is the last part of the property  to rid of fallen leaves. Sometimes surprises  are a good thing!

They drove the riding mower round and round, and dumped the leaves in the gully! Thank goodness for a gully! And then they put the tractor in the shed--for the winter! Praise the Lord! I have done the front yard--so --if and when, it snows , we are all good! Note--no leaves on the trees here now!

And --HIMSELF has a Birthday to-day--and we have decided to eat at McDonalds (His request) and Thursday nite all the family will come out here for Chinese Food--

This man--is now 93----AMAZING!!!----- He is a good man---- I am still in love with him, even tho he can be difficult at times--but--Lord love a Duck!--- so am I!--

Our leaves are barely hanging on but we are supposed to get quit the wind and rain storm the next few days so I think the rest will come down. 5. "Happy Birthday Fred!" Remarkable to reach your age. I am aiming to reach 90 as my four sisters did and I have four more years to go!! McDonalds is a good choice for a meal right on your special day and then a feast when your family all comes on Thursday. Wonderful way to celebrate a wonderful, very much loved man.

Great that the leaves are gone from your yards now Lynda but gone from the trees? Your winter comes fast up north.

Have a really wonderful day my friend. Hugs to you, Fred & pets.

  8. Wonderful that son #4 and grandson did the leafing for you on the back 40. Hurray. Don’t like it, but it does feel good to be ready for winter.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to himself! And many more. Yes, have to love our Himselfs, even when they’re difficult. Thank the good Lord they’re still with us! Hope you and he had an awesome day.

  9. We all have days , when , other people think we are difficult . Glad to see all your leaves gone for the season. We still have 1/2 the trees or a little less , with leaves . Three beautiful red maples with the red and orange leaves in our backyard . And an old Mulberry with bright yellow in the front yard . So beautiful . We had friends go around the C.B. Highlands trail last weekend and it was glorious .

  12. Happy Birthday to himself. Sometimes it's worth it to lose a nap! Good for Son #4 and his son for doing the rest of the leaves. He seems to be helping a lot which is great. Glad your getting Fred's favourite for dinner. Enjoy!

  16. My husband and I were just talking about how hard it is these days to not get distracted by "life". But how nice of your son to take care of those leaves for you. My husband did a round of leaf blowing this afternoon, but most of the leaves on our big tree are still on the tree - haven't even turned colors yet. Hopefully they will fall before the snow does!

  17. Happy Birthday to Himself. Wow 93. I don't think I will make it that long.

Sorry you missed your nap but you did get an awesome gift!!! So I think it might have been worth losing sleep. Maybe not.... That is great your son and grandson cleared up all your leaves.... Now you are all ready for the snow!!!

Hope himself likes his dinner and you will both enjoy the Chinese meal with the family on Thursday

  18. Happy Birthday to the Man! So blessed to still have his faculties. My mom just turned 98 last week but in the final stages of dementia. Judt wasting away to nothing. I am bringing bringing her to my home this week to care for her. She does not speak, does not recognize, cannot walk. Etc, etc. I am thankful my 80 year old husband has agreed to this and will help me where he can. I hope your husband and mine will carry on well beyond 93! Several years ago for my 70th my coworkers wanted to take me to lunch. I wanted Burger King but they refused. Not good enough, they said. So we went somewhere nice but I got myself BK the next day. Good for you Lynda, to grant his Mickey D' request. Today is all about him, (and his amazing wife just a tad too!)

  21. Happy Birthday to Himself! 93 is such an accomplishment! Owed especially to you for your love and caring as his wife! I also wanted to let you know, my daughter and her cousin are appearing on an HGTV show that was shown only in Canada. It’s the “Making It Home” with Kortney and Kenny. It’s not shown here so we cannot see it. My daughter moved to Nashville, TN during COVID and bought a house next to her cousin. The show renovated it. It is on at 8pm on Wednesday night, although not sure of the time zone in your area. It’s the episode “Darya and Michael”.Hoping we can see it here in the States eventually. My husbands art work is on her walls, too! Anyway, have a wonderful celebration on Thursday! Your friend and fellow nurse in San Francosco, Alice

  24. Wow, they did a great job on those leaves. The trees in our yard never lose their leaves until the middle of November. They are just starting to right now. Lots more to go. It is nice that your son and the kids were able to help out.

  25. Great job on the lawn! No leaves! Where as our leaves like Becky said are just now beginning to fall! They will still be falling the first week of December! (((HUGS)))
