With a little help from someone up there!

This was "Himself" on his 93rd Birthday--with Son#4's 2 children---He really enjoyed all the attention. . It made him feel special---
The balloons were sent by our daughter in Ohio and her family.----We went to McDonalds , as he wanted to do. Thursday night, I have ordered Chinese Food and everyone will be out.

OK---- I must tell you what happened this morning-- I NEVER PLAY THE PIANO EARLY IN THE MORNING---In fact, I never play the piano in the morning at all, as there is always so much to do-- Well, this morning, after Himself came down (All my chores were done!)- --AND---- FOR SOME REASON I THOUGHT I"D SIT AT THE PIANO AND PLAY--- The piano is right beside the kitchen, in the dining room-- WELL!---- I played just a few bars, and said to Himself, "I smell something awful--like dog Po"----and--low and behold, right beside the piano, en route to the kitchen, on the carpet--was ---well, Doggie Do Do--lots of it-- It couldn't have been the puppy  as there was  too much of it--

We have it all cleaned up now--with fans blowing on the carpets-- It mustve been big Beau, who couldn't get outside , when we were at McDonalds--poor fella!--  and it is my fault! ----He has never done that ever before!--- BUT----I have been feeding him those freeze dried round things from the pet store--and Himself has been telling me for ages that he has been having a problem  and to stop giving him this---BUT --I DIDN"T STOP! -----BUT--I NEVER WILL CHANGE HIS DIET EVER AGAIN!

This sounds kinda funny, but what made me sit at the piano this morning?---  and if I hadn't sat at the piano, we probably would've walked in  the huge mess---It kinda makes one wonder doesn't it?---that--perhaps The good LORD,  in Heaven  for some reason ------??????????-------sounds silly eh?----  but------it is a tad weird---

So I suppose everyone  begins their day differently, but, Lord love a Duck, I am SO grateful that  someone is looking out for me---

  1. Aw, Fred SHOULD feel special, because he is! Nice photo of him & the grands.

I was up at 6, nice & early. I, too, think that someone was watching over you Lynda and had you go to your piano this morning.

Fred is so right, when you've already found the diet that suits Beau, don't change it, you just never know what a new one can do to his system.

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday. Hugs to you & Fred & your pets.

  5. Glad you found "it" when you did and were able to take care of it before someone walked in it. Poor Beau! Yes, their diets *do* make a difference.

  7. Good Morning Lynda, Cool today 3C/37F. Brrr. I am going out today to get my regular annual flu shot. Nice picture of Himself with the GC. Maybe Beau is having more changes in his life than he can handle at one time. Losing Tess, getting a new puppy, changing food and being left alone. I hope it was only a one time thing.

  8. Oh for you to be sitting @ the piano in the morning when that's not what you usually usually . . . definitely sounds like it was meant to be! Glad you could get it cleaned up.

Awwww, Himself looks happy! That's wonderful that he felt special.

  9. Yes you were guided to sit at the piano this morning. That is how God works at times.

Poor Beau.... Bet he felt bad when he had to do that. Glad you were able to clean it up before someone walked in it. Changing people and animals diets sometimes is not a good thing.

That is so great himself had a great birthday. He needs to feel special. As we get older we all need to feel special. Society does not value the elderly so we need to remember that and make them feel special. Feel like they still have worth.

Hope he enjoys his second birthday also.

    Have a great day.

  11. Lynda, dear, you know everything happens for a reason. Beau's 'accident' was another verification of that.

Glad Himself had a great birthday. He got his McDonald's and you got your Chinese food!

    Give Beau an extra pat for me! {{{HUGS}}}

  12. So glad you smelled the poo before it was on your feet. I have 2 older dogs who have started messing in the house if we don't take them out every few hours. Glad you were at the piano and Himself is enjoying his birthday week

  14. Poor Beau. He has had too many changes in his life recently. Tough for him to handle. Can't blame him for having an accident. Give him some extra love! Lopez has been getting most of the attention. Glad Fred enjoyed his Birthday. Take care.

  19. The little one we lost last yr. did have a problem notgiving a sign to go out and, even though it firm and small, we seemed to find it to step in. Lots of carpet cleaning for sure! :-)

  20. Glad Himself had a good day.
Just a hint if you want/need to change a dog's food: Reduce his regular food by 1/4 and add that much of the new food. Use this for three to seven days depending on you dong tummy. Next, mix half and half for the same amount of time. Next 1/4 of old and 3/4 of new for the same amount of days. Next is all new food. Learned this from Veterinarian when I had to change my dogs food as she was having huge problems with the corn found in most dog foods at the time. Never had any trouble changing her diet with this method. This should help if you find you want/need to change their diet. I too believe it was Divine Intervention that caused you to discover the the mess before anyone arrived.
Have a good rest of your evening.
