Great pictures....beautiful family. I don't remember celebrating grandparents BD either. Glad Fred got more McDonald's gift cards.
ReplyDeleteGlad you survived.
Good news on Beau.
Hope the tip works on snarly little Lopez.
Make it a great day.
Hugs
With everything that has been going on in your life I think you do need a well deserved rest. Think about having a few hours to yourself to take a leisurely walk and take in the fall air and colors. Stop and have a quiet cup of tea somewhere and relax. Try and do something different as your mom used to say "a change is as good as a rest"
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that everyone enjoyed the birthday party and that himself got some McDonald's gift cards. We are finally having a nice day so I have to get out and cut back all the flowers today. I will be the tired one tonight!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear that everything went well yesterday besides being exhausted today. We got our vaccine boosters yesterday so today we are kinda tired with sore arms but otherwise fine. Suppose to be rainy this weekend . . yuk. Say hi to the Queen for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad the family was there for Himself's birthday! He looks happy on the picture! Getting MacDodald's gift card must had made his day as that is his favourite! Now it's time for you to rest and take it easy! Cecile Picard Tessier (Hugs)
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was a great birthday. Mine is next week but it will be 83. And I am getting Chinese food too. Good to hear Beau is doing better. Hope there are no more 'accidents'. It has been a busy week for you. Now take soem time to relax.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Lynda! Himself looks happy with the family celebrating his birthday 🎂 It makes it so much easier when everyone pitches in to help. You have a beautiful Family! Thanks for sharing them with us 🥰 I hope you can find some time today to rest some...you deserve it.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear Himself had a nice birthday party and the dogs are doing well. Thanks for sharing. I do hope you have a wonderful day
ReplyDeleteI hear you Lynda, life seems to be all about the younger generations and we older folk seem to be pushed back, pushed away. Almost as though our useful days are done, in the eyes of the young ones. But don't feel bad about it, I can remember chatting with only those my age when I was young, the older generations seemed OLD to me, lol.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that Beau is okay now and as far as Lopez's snarling goes, do 'nip it in the bud' as it would only get worse if you don't. Generally, these little dogs aren't the greatest around children but like people . . each dog has it's own disposition.
If you visit the Queen, I'm coming with you, lol.
Hugs to all of you.
Good to hear that the BDay celebration was festive and fun for all....especially Himself....who deserves a special day of recognition for his 93 years upon this Earth!
ReplyDeleteGlad Beau is better AND you deserve a day of downtime...or at least a few hours!
Hugs, Eissa7
It sounds like a fun celebration. I don't remember celebrating my grandparents' birthdays. I don't think any of our birthdays had much more than a cake. My mother had a recipe she used just for birthdays.
ReplyDeleteSounds like yesterday was a great day for Himself and he enjoyed the celebration. Good news about Beau and I guess you will have to work with Lopez to stop his bad habits in the bud. Have a good weekend and just take it easy. We are all not getting any younger. 👍
ReplyDeleteLove that trick for small dogs... it works with bigger dogs, too, so I've seen in movies... but it takes a strong dude to do it with a German or a Husky! Laying them on their back until they submit to your "dominance" is a place in the pack order thing.
ReplyDeleteDog psychology, 101! Enjoy your visit with the Queen, I'm sue she'd love to have you!
Glad Himself's Birthday Party was a success. Love the pictures you shared.
ReplyDeleteI happened to think about the diets of a couple of my dogs, one of which I already mentioned in a previous comment, and that was a problem with corn in the dogfood. The other was an allergy to dairy products, the allergy developed as she aged. My thought here is it is good to become familiar with the ingredients list on any dog food you use. Look for meat sources, vegetables and very little grain. Basically think about what the wild canines eat and use that as a guide. I still remember a video I have seen of a coyote jumping into an apple tree and eating apples. In any case I am glad Beau is doing much better.

Such nice family pictures, thanks for posting them. Yes, do not let the dogs think they own the joint. I’m glad Himself got a McDonalds gift card, perfect for him, makes him happy. Try to take time to relax.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, glad Himself had such a nice celebration! LOVELY pictures!
ReplyDeleteHOPE you have a quiet weekend to breathe!
Yes, when Miss Lilly goes cujo, I put her on her back. Takes her awhile to settle down, but she DOES! Don't know why it works, but not questioning success!
Take a nap Lynda............since you guys already had the party.
ReplyDeleteVolunteer your grand kids to come out and rake. They'd have fun
with it..........
Good luck with the pups..........give Beau some extra love, since
he now has a wee little competitor.
Wonderful Party...Lovely pictures .,,,Let's send a Get well card to the Queen.
ReplyDeleteSeems like yesterday’s birthday festivities prove that people aren’t always ignored or “set aside” as they grow older. 😉
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat celebrations for Fred's birthday. Glad he enjoyed it. Sounds like Lopez is trying to assert himself a little too much. Good you're getting under control early. Good that Beau is doing better.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy but wonderful day for all!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great day as well as a busy one. Rest well tonight.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful celebration with family. It looks like everyone enjoyed themselves.
ReplyDeleteNice blog, Linda
ReplyDeleteso enic to see yu on here-- Lynda
DeleteI seem to remember every Sunday we would pile into the car and went to visit Grandma. We were there along with most of mom's brothers and sisters and their children! Lots of us crowded in the farm house. I honestly don't remember any birthday parties out there! So glad the party went well!(((HUGS)))
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday to Fred! I think the younger generation are so busy raising their own kids and working to support them they just don't have the time to worry about us. I really do understand that.
ReplyDeleteTuring the little puppy over is putting him in a submissive position. Don't do it much,he will become scared of you.
ReplyDeleteRemember, he isn't even a year old.
