Making my Soul Happy-- with a puppy!

Making my soul happy is not easy  when one is too pooped to  participate---  A nap would be good--  A good thing however is--I now weigh 192.5 lbs--  --- I know that the scale will bounce around a bit, but I am happy with that weight. Getting into the 180's would be amazing-- and it's looking good right now--like I might get there.----

As you can guess, little Lopez, the new puppy who thinks I'm his Mother, woke up at 3am--We were out on the front lawn pretty fast--He did his business and I picked him up off the wet grass. The poor wee fella sure shivers and shakes when I rescue him from the cold outdoors--and carry him in, wrapped in a blanket.

Bless his wee little heart, he went right back into his bed, beside my bed, and went to sleep, till about 7am.

This AM I ordered a snuggly thing that I can put him in when I walk---He might outgrow it before it arrives.

Son#2, the Air Canada Pilot made it back from LA----It's always good to  hear that he is on the ground--

WE have a wet day  here----  Lopez is crying up a storm in the kitchen so I best rescue him from Himself , who claps his hands  over Lopez'  head, thinking it will stop him yodelling-- You know, I never saw him clap his hands over the children , as babies--  Men are strange--- older men seem to do even stranger things-- They forget!

Lopez says hello to yu all ---   You know, I think I'm beginning to think I'm running a Zoo here---  Lord Love A Duck!---  All is quiet now on the "Western Front"--What on earth has Himself done to him?-So, if you think it's quiet at yer place, get a wee Lopez----  He sure can yodel! I best go down and make his soul happy!

  1. Raining here this morning as well. Happy to say we have all the outside work done. Yes, you best keep him snuggly warm when you take him out. He is so tiny, probably doesn't generate much body heat. At least you never feel alone when he is singing to you.

  2. Lynda you are too funny. Lopez and his yodeling lol. Even funnier is Fred clapping his hands over Lopez like thats gonna work..NOT. Glad you ordered a sling thing so Lopez can go along. Not so good that baby got up at 3. What will you do when snow Comes? A potty patch on a porch or in The Garage? Lopez is sure changing things at your house.
    Congrats on Weight loss WOOOOT
    Have a great day.

  3. You needed a baby, now you have one! Waking up early is part of the game, enjoy it. At least you can let the housework go for awhile now, so you can train him. Does he like your piano playing, try to get on the keys, too. That would be a picture.🥰🥰

  5. Lopez Martinez Sanchez is the cutest! Seriously. I am not a "small dog" fan as a general rule (bad experience with one as a youth), but this one could convert me!

Many congrats on the scale movement! I'm sure Lopez keeping you busy is helping with that, too, and I love the thought of a snugly so he can walk with you!

Happy Thanksgiving, to you and yours, coming right up.

  7. It's the quietness that needs to be investigated, lol. Maybe Fred picked up Lopez and is holding him, aww, that would be sweet.
I never thought to take my Chi's outside during the night, you're a far better trainer than I, Lynda. Keep up the good work, you're amazing! Hugs!

  9. Congratulations on your weight loss - that's amazing! Good for you for keeping at it. I am trying to lose a few pounds before January when I will have my second knee replaced. Little Lopez sounds like he is fitting right in and how wonderful that he went right back to sleep after taking care of business!

Good for you for ordering a snuggler for walking w/Lopez! That will be good. I think you’ve got time before he outgrows it! LOL

Awwwww, definitely sounds like Lopez needs a bit of a rescue. Poor baby!

Glad DS#2 made it back from LA.

Men -- they just don't get it, do they. LOL

Hope you have a good Thanksgiving!

  16. Your a busy person . I think if you keep doing your walks along with everything else , you'll keep on slowly losing . Until you get in to your 180's . But I think you'll always have to monitor how much ice cream you have . If you plan your treats , I think your going to do great .I treat myself to a little ice cream , it helps me not feel deprived . I just either have 1/2 to 1 cup of frozen yogurt planned in to my food plans . You can do it . Take care of all the animals , they will keep you young .

  18. Congrats on the weight. You'll have to get Lopez a winter jacket/sweater for any outings in a month or two. He probably cried more with the clapping. Hope all is well now.

  19. Great Job on the weight loss. It is good that Lopez lets you know when it is time to go outside. The breeder must have started his training and that is a huge help.

  21. Yes, men ARE strange and they do get stranger as they get older. Sometimes mine will say something so different than in the past that I just stare. It is a huge learning curve.
