Life is good, in spite of ???

Now isn't that marvellous?---  There really are times that I really really aren't supposed to do what I do---that my kids think I am too old to do stuff--I do it anyway---  and I CAN DO IT---  Grant it, I am "pooped" by evening---but--it gets done-----

This morning, after taking wee Lopez Fernandez Sanchez, outside every hour on the hour to do his business, I returned upstairs to make the bed---and-----HIMSELF HAD MADE THE BED--HIMSELF!  Lord love a Duck eh?---That has never happened before! --He "made my day"-----  (Mom's expression of course!)- And he is wearing all the wires, taped to his chest and everywhere else, and I went in and learned how to De-wire him, as Thursday- it comes off.  -He has that Holter Monitor on him --to show a 24 hr heart rate--  --They put it on him, in the Lab, at the medical clinic----When I brought him home, we took the elevator from the 3rd floor, and low and behold, at Floor #2, the elevator stopped and a very tall older man, wearing a mask, but coughing and looked very ill, got on the elevator WITH US_--I immediately turned around , but poor Himself, was completely unaware that he was being exposed to lotza germs----There is still a lot of COVID out in the community, and he has not had a booster shot yet.

So, this has been a good day--I walked --well, I "Hoofed" it , to the highway and back and I had to wear gloves and a heavy jacket--It is only 2 C, but sunny!

I like the above---because I am stronger---There are days that I do wonder if I will ever make it to the end of the day--but--I always do, and the next day always seems easier!------I worry so much about gasoline prices being so high--grocery prices too--I never go to a clothing store--but then--I do have 555 closets chucked full of clothes--all sizes-----  Spark, the web site I enjoyed so much closed down and that worried me too, but--I think I am managing better now than before , on my own, and many of you have gone on with yer lives , as I have--BECAUSE WE ARE STRONG-----aren't we?--
Good thing we can laugh --eh?-----Laugh and the world laughs with you---  Isn't that a "saying"?

  1. I agree that things are better when we are laughing and things are getting better these days. Nice surprise to find the bed already made for you - my husband surprises me once in a while too. It’s cool here as well and we had frost last night so maybe my allergies will be better soon. Have a wonderful day Lynda! 👍

  2. We get upset when we see people without wearing a mask, we stay clear of them. Are numbers are going down but they are still high. I wonder if we will ever recover from the virus.

    Have a great Tuesday

  4. Wow! That's wonderful that Himself made the bed! Wonders never cease, do they!

Oh my. That would be upsetting to be in that elevator with someone so seemingly ill. **SIGH** Prayers all stays well for you and Himself.

HUGS and good for you hoofing it! Way to go.

  5. I have a suggestion from my sister-in-law regarding puppy pad training. When her dog was a puppy she would move the puppy pad an inch or two closer to the back door. The puppy kept following the puppy pad and eventually went outside. Hope this helps.

  6. How wonderful that the bed got made by himself! Write in in your journal. Yes, groceries and gas are going up, and the holidays are closing in. Normal for this time of year. Buy plenty of pads, preparing for when Lopez will refuse to go out. You knew this was going to happen. Embrace it. That guy going into the elevator, instead of waiting for an empty one, oh my. This Covid thing sure proves how many folks of low intelligence are really out there. Take care.

  9. We ARE strong Lynda but just don't overdo the physical stuff, cause our body does change as we age, it can't take things the way it used to.

Imagine Fred making the bed and all by himself! That should really 'make your day!'

You're a wonderful mom to Lopez, when he leaves the puppy stage and matures some, he's going to be by your side (or on your lap) all the time, gazing up at you with such love in his eyes. Adorable little man you have.
    Hugs to all of you.

  14. Sounds like things are moving along. I am also concerned about higher gas prices, food prices, pretty much everything prices. Haven't purchased a new piece of clothing in almost 3 years - luckily I am losing some weight and able to fit into my smaller sized jeans which are like new! Have a lovely evening.

  15. Nice surprise that Fred made the bed. The guy on the elevator is an idiot. Anyone should know not to go on an elevator with other people when they are like that. Hopefully it was just allergies and nothing contagious. And you are very strong - stronger than a lot of people I know. Just don't overdue it! Hopefully Lopez will get the message about what he should be doing. He is such a cutie. How is Beau doing with all the attention given to Lopez?

  18. You go girl....you can do this.

I miss Spark because was so easy to navigate, and I miss a lot of the folks, posting my song of the day and a picture of the day...
But life goes on....and spark, well I don't think this move will be a success for them, but it was their choice.

  19. Scary situation having someone who is sick get on the elevator with you. I pray that neither of you get sick. Hurray that Himself made the bed. Keep up the good work on walking and with training Lopez. Have a great evening.

  22. Dear Lynda,
I have not been following your blog much since Sparkpeople ended. I was sad to read about Tess (I went back thru your blogs to see where she passed in Sept) I am glad you continued writing your blog.
I miss Spark People also. It has been a struggle but I do carry on.
The weather here in Southwest Michigan has been beautiful. It has been in the 70's and hardly any rain. Thursday it is suppose to get colder and be more fall like. Have a good day. and again I was so sorry to read about Tess.
