This too shall pass!

I'm not a particularly religious person, but-----after this---
and then this--little Lopez--Martinez Sanchez---
I must admit--Any help from the good Lord right now, will be much appreciated!
The oven situation was last night--supper time--- with Himself cooking and leaving some sorta tray under  the already cooked chicken, as I was busy  taking the wee boy (Lopez) outside to do his business------Life in this house is pretty busy at this time! --AND----I threw out the oven--It was a countertop oven and I really never liked it-never used it, but Himself's favourite way to cook--------
It is truly mind boggling, how one wee little puppy can throw a monkey wrench into one's life!
We have mega rain falling also----which is not helping with the  potty training---------------------

Once in awhile I just  say a wee prayer in my head to keep calm----"This too shall pass", as Mom used to say!

  2. Sorry about the oven but happy that there wasn't any damage done in the house. The pictures of Lopez show that he seems to be settling in to his new home. Enjoy your day!

  4. Last month my husband made a pizza for dinner and the oven would not turn off the the smoke detector went off and smoke was coming from the oven, turned of breaker so we didn't have a stove for a couple of weeks. Had to order a part and we got it about a week later. It is finally working again.

    Have a great Saturday

  8. Glad there wasn't a fire and good you were home and just outside. Good decision to get rid of the oven. Sounds like Himself should maybe not do cooking without you around. Take care and stay safe.

  9. Sweetheart, you prolly could have saved Himself's oven. Oh, well, I understand that you did not like it.

    Wee Lopez will grow, and you may wish he was a puppy again! {{{HUGS}}}

  10. Quite a day at your home! Lucky there was no fire to deal with and now you can get an oven that you like. It’s raining here as well and rained pretty much all last night. Looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner with family this year and hope it’s a nice day tomorrow. Have a great rest of the day! 💦 👍

  11. I'm glad it wasn't worse. I have a post-it note by the dial on my oven reminding me to check the oven before I turn it on. (I store a frying pan in the oven and don't want to forget it when the oven comes on.)

  12. Aww, it wasn't Lopez who threw a monkey wrench into things, it was Fred not tending that oven but anyway, since you never liked it, it's kind of a good thing it happened and you threw it out.
I adore the photos of Lopez and think I'm in love with this wee fellow. :)
Hugs to all of you this Thanksgiving weekend.

  16. Oh my goodness! glad there wasn't a fire! **SIGH** Hmmmmm . . . maybe Himself needs supervised cooking. **SIGH** I can hear his objections from here. But glad at leas nobody was hurt, either.

Awwww, Little Lopez looks so innocent! Amazing how they can do that, isn't it! He'll grow and mature.

  19. I'm so sorry about your little oven but maybe, since you didn't like it anyway, it's a blessing! Yes, puppies can totally throw a monkey wrench into life but little Lopez will soon get an understanding of the routine in your household and he will also be a blessing!

  20. Kind of sounds like my house without the puppy. It will pass. Patience and time will make it all seem better.

  21. Little Lopez is so cute. He's looking like "what's wrong mom?' Thank god you didn't have a bad fire. At least oven is now gone. Happy Thanksgiving whether your doing it Sunday or Monday. Hopefully the kids and grandkids do a lot of the work.

  22. A puppy will definitely turn your life upside down. the upside is you have a puppy!

  23. Yes, this too will pass. When we talk of doing one thing at a time and it hits with 3 or more, hugs. Adding the rain sure is a training problem.

  24. Good plan tossing the oven, perhaps Himself really doesn't need to cook anything at this point. Happy Thanksgiving!

  25. I usually do all the cooking with Susie's help. My DH wouldn't know how to turn the oven on. Coming home one day I called him to have him preheat the oven and I had give him step by step instructions to turn it on. Good lord! I think himself should stick to vacuuming. LOL!
