Don't stress--express...

There is always good news--and there is quite often bad news--probably why this little person's mouth is up on one side, and down on the other--- ---- kinda like my day to-day is--  maybe everyone's day!---So one just carries on and hopes for the best!
Himself has not been a happy camper to-day--- I try to ignore it all because I realize it is not really him-There is just the 2 of us in this house, so, of course, I am always to blame----which I realize it is not really him speaking----Crazy  stuff, I know!
We have  had a lot of rain---  which has stopped now. The Robins love the rain! They are chirping loudly outside--I love to hear them! ---And the geese continue to fly over in huge formations. Nature really has a way of healing all the stress in one's life--
Did I tell you that I now go to the Eye Dr., in Sudbury, on the 30th?--  And I have a Driver arranged to get me there and back--Hopefully the pressure in my eyes is normal, and hopefully I won't need to go back for a few years----
My message to-day is to keep BOTH sides of your mouth, up--  Things usually work out in the end. Sometimes, just a wee talk out loud , even to myself, helps me "see the light" , as Mom used to say--
Look up----  enjoy the little things-- appreciate what you see and hear outside--wee walk always helps one too-oh-----and when I smile----  I do feel better!

  2. Been raining all night but finally stopped. Mother Robin is busy feeding her 4 babies. It is a full nest now that they are almost ready to fly. I shall try to "keep a stiff upper lip" and stay positive today but I must admit it is not always easy to do. Sometimes health problems just want to get the better of you.

  3. I'm glad you realize that the words aren't coming from the real himself but it still must be very challenging to have that all day. Your positive attitude seems to be keeping you sane! I'm glad you were able to change your eye appointment - I hope it all goes well.

  5. With my Dad's dementia, we could tell by looking at his eyes what kind of day it would be -- sparkling blue = good day; dull stare = bad day; vacant stare = very bad day. His eyes were like a barometer of what could be expected and a forewarning to brace ourselves accordingly.

Happy that you got an earlier rescheduled appointment.

We are experiencing record high temps here in Central Texas with 100+ F. Grateful for central air-conditioning and fingers crossed that our State power grid holds up.

I knew 3 different couples who had multiple-level homes that downsized to the ground level of their homes when moving was not practical and their floor plans worked for this switch. Just tossing this out there for your information.

    Keep on keeping on!

  6. Glad you got your appointment scheduled for earlier than you thought it would be. Let the family know now so they can get it in their calendar and maybe someone can help with himself and the dogs. You always find a way to keep your thoughts positive. And you now believe that what Fred says is the illness not him. That's really good. We had all the rain last night and today. Seems to be finally clearing up some. Enjoy the rest of your day.

  7. Nature does help lots! I am a tree hugger! And animals? All of them! We are All children of the One...even the dreaded black flies and mosquitoes. They are lower on the food chain than we are, though.
    Pray for you daily, Lynda, that you will be handle your stress. {{{HUGS}}}

  8. At least you have another appointment and not just on a list. Boy Howdy! Our Texas weather will be record breaking, the triple digit humidity is the pits. Sure miss living in the mountains. Fingers crossed that the weak minded power leaders will keep the power grid on. Take care, Lynda. Ethel Merz/Doris

  9. Yes, good and bad. Mixed bag for sure!

Awwww, sorry it was a difficult day w/Himself. Yup, it’s hard when there’s just the 2 of you in the house. You’re the obvious ‘guilty party’ in every situation. Goes on here, too.

Yes, we will have a parade of robins worm hunting when this rain is done. UGH.

Glad you have a new eye appointment arranged and a ride. Great!
