Think happy thoughts!

--Every Moment ----  so, we never give up! ---- This morning Lopez  the wee Chihuahua, and I "hoofed" it up the road--(Dad's expression of course!)-----  He did his business right away, so we  didn't have to stay out there so long, in the mosquitoes . Then Beau and I turned on the hoses and did some watering of the plants---And, all thru this, the music of the Robins---  They chirp in the early mornings and it sounds so beautiful!

So, now I am NOT gong for my eye appointment--  The neighbours (poor them!)--have Covid and are very ill--all of them!-- And, they have had 4 vaccines!--  --So unfair! --I had called them yesterday, hoping to get some Weed Whacker help, and I heard their bad news. --But--that is not the only reason , I am cancelling the eye appointment---There is no-one to look after Lopez and Himself was going to do it, all day-all by himself--which is quite a handful for him. I don't think he could do it, even tho he says he could--- So--no eye appointment till perhaps and hopefully, August!

Life is sorta returning to whatever was normal--I think! ----The grass looks great---Son #4 came out to string that horrible awful weed whacker---=-and it is mostly done---(my nemesis)-and I am going for a few groceries soon--

Wear your mask--  That nasty Covid is still out there waiting to attack--wash the hands--  Stay home to eat--Hopefully we can avoid it ----It is not really a hopeless situation as sometimes I believe it is! so many people are mask-less --saying, "They are tired of it all"---- but-----  the virus is not tired---

I hope that your day is happy--  You deserve to be----  Just think Happy thoughts---

  1. Good morning,
Your early morning routine with the dogs and chirping birds sounds lovely minus mosquitoes.
Sorry to hear about neighbors. Masks are being recommended again down here.
August for your eye appt. isn't to much longer. Sorry you couldn't find help with Fred and Lopez. It will work out later.
At least son tackled the weed whacker. Always something.
Be safe, stay strong. Hugs dear lady.

  2. Aren’t the songs of the robins, and the other birds, just uplifting!

So sorry to hear your neighbors are very ill from Covid. Yes, unfair indeed w/FOUR vaccines. All I keep hearing is it is much worse w/o it.

Oh gosh, so sorry that means that you have to put off your eye appt. (between the neighbors being ill and feeling, rightfully so, that it would be too much for Himself to be alone all day w/the boys, especially wee Lopez.)

YES, wear masks, social distance, wash hands!!!!!! You’re so right . . . we are ALL tired of the virus, but . . . unfortunately . . . the virus is not done w/us yet.

HUGS, stay well, keep the head above water (My Mom used to say that!)

  6. So sorry about your neighbors and the Covid. You are right, it has not gone away. So... one step back, two steps forward. Hopefully by August things will be more auspicious for that eye appointment.

  7. I think it's good that you're not going to the eye doctor so little Lopez can be cared for. That's such a long drive too. Sorry to hear about your neighbors. I talked with my daughter who lives in Virginia yesterday and found that she, her husband and all three kids had it. Not terribly bad, they've all been vaccinated, but it truly messed up their lives for awhile! I'm not being extra careful since I'm having surgery again the end of this month and I sure don't want to have to postpone t! Enjoy your day.

  8. Praying for your neighbors that they get well real fast. That is the pits.

I am sorry you had to cancel your appointment again. When you get it make sure your sons know what day it is so they can take care of himself. They need to put it on their calendars so they don't forget. Yes himself thinks he can take care of himself and Lopez and on good days he can but unfortunately you don't know when those good days will be and how long they will last.

Praying you find help you need for yourself and himself.

I love listening to the birds singing.

    Have a great day

  9. Two additional strains of Covid are in our county now and confirmed cases that are reported are on the rise. I wonder how many folks using the home test kits are not included in the counts. Stay safe!

  10. Gee whiz, what a setback, that Covid is most unwelcome! I also know several others with Covid, were ultra careful, but went on a cruise in Europe, France, and came back. Tested negative before the flight back, but husband got deathly ill after 4 days, still very sick, needs hired help to do anything. And dare we mention Monkeypox too? So sorry you can’t get your eyes fixed!

  11. Yup...the virus will getcha if you believe it will! That's my opinion. Haven't worn a mask where not required in ages. Never have gotten it yet.
Sorry about your missed eye appointment. Good job on the outside, though. Thank God for sons!
My day was great! Got my summer clothes I had left at my CA doctor son's house, drugs from the VA for the pancreatitis and homemade chicken and dumplings from a friend.

  12. Yes, that virus is still out there and those of us who are of the elderly persuasion have to be very careful. I am so sorry that you had to cancel your eye appointment. Hopefully you can get another one sooner than August. Is there one of your grandchildren old enough to stay with himself and help take care of Lopez? We used to do that for my Aunt with whom my grandparents lived. Enough for now. Have a great day!
