Older Women must be Stronger than strong!

I was down, at NAPPA, getting Weed Whacker lessons-- like--"How to Thread the Spool"---  so, I don't have to ask the kids anymore--I had to be there by 8am--  A very kind  worker there threaded 2 of my Weed Whackers for me ---  Hopefully now I can do it on my own--

All is well here on the "Home Front"--Himself is "cooking with gas" as Dad used to say --seems happy--Funny how he can be perfectly normal some days , and just terrible other days-- I stopped at the Alzheimer's place to give the young girl who has listened to me crying  over  the phone, so many times--a bouquet of cut flowers ----  She is always so positive.---and, I came home with fresh bread ("The whiter the bread-the sooner you're dead"---)---- It was brown bread that I bought--

This afternoon Himself is actually going to our dentist-- I kept his appointment, thinking , if he decided not to go, that I would take it, but--- after telling me that he would not go , forever---he decided to go to-day--Yeahhhhhh!-----

We have a sunny very nice day here to-day-- not too hot--but very buggy! ----

It is so important to be a strong woman---  You might think that "OLD" people can be weak--NOT THE CASE----  Older  women MUST be stronger than strong--Older women must try not to get "Down In The Dumps"---  because, what the heck, Older women end up taking care of everyone else--I don't think this world would survive without "Older Women"----Lord love a duck! You know , there should be a song about "Older Women"---doncha think?

--------just look at the Queen!!!

  11. I don't feel that we have to be strong all the time, actually. We need to do what needs done, but also to let go, and lean on other people. We have to feel our feelings, not stuff them down, and I'm big on asking for help when we can't do it anymore.

  12. That was so very nice of you, to bring that gal at the Alzheimer’s place some flowers, these folks are appreciated so much. So he really does seem to have Alzheimer’s then. Glad he felt up to doing the dentist thing. You are a saint for trying to get the darned weed thing to restring, that can be a bummer, even for folks he do it often. Kudos to you!
    Take care. Ethel

  13. I believe that women no matter their age have to be very strong. When you have to deal with a man being sick they are often worse than kids. Looking after someone that is not well and still cleaning, doing laundry, making meals and shopping etc is more than a lot of men could handle. You are doing it all along with keeping a large property in order. You are strong and deserve so much credit.
