You can do it!

Lopez had his walk---  It's not as windy which is great. --BUT--Remember the other day, when I could hear an animal in the bush walking beside Lopez and I?-- Well, this morning I saw a fox , very close to Lopez and I, in the middle of the road , starring at us--  looking at Lopez, the wee Chihuahua , as breakfast. Lord love a Duck eh?--All I need is to  meet this fox in the morning--I will carry a big stick to-morrow--

This is a picture of a market in Seoul, Korea--taken by Son#2---perhaps equivalent to our McDonalds-LOL---- Son#2 is on his way back to Toronto right now---I am always happy to hear that.

I ended up cutting grass yesterday as Grandson, the "Grass Cutter" , is at a swim meet---That chore is so hard on me-- I did the front, the dog pen, and the septic side--It will be good when he returns---When I went to turn on the hoses, they would not work--  The pump for them is in the lake, and waves were rolling in very hard, due to the high winds--  altho--that poor pump is about 20 plus years old! It just may need to be replaced--  another expense for sure!

Father's day to-morrow--I thought it was to-day-I had to ask Himself what day it was-every day is the same, doncha find? --

Are you happy to be home to-day?---Would you rather be in a Hotel somewhere?---  --just asking-- I do enjoy being home--always---  Is it just me, or do these feelings exist more as we age?

In any event, enjoy the day--Sunday is always special----  I hope you will relax---  rest---  and be happy and content--

  1. Good morning Lynda....its Saturday lol
Fox thinking Lopez might be breakfast hey. At least you have an idea of what might have been rustling in the bushes.
Well darn...sorry grandson didn't get to yard. I hope you can get one of the boys over to look at the hoses/pump watering problem. Always something.
The foreign market picture is interesting. Happy to hear pilot son is on the way home.
Are the sons planning something for Father's Day? Perhaps everyone will be over to enjoy the dock with Fred.
    Hope you enjoy your Saturday.
We had storms yesterday so its cooler and less humid for a few days until it gets back to 100 degrees on Tuesday. Awfully hot. Awfully early in the midwest.
Relax a bit. Read a book. Play your piano
    Hugs

    1. Its always so nice to hear from yu--Yes, Son #3 was out early this AM--checking the pump situation-- said it was the high waves caused by all the winds yesterday --At least he is hoping that is the problem--Tht pump is working today--In any event, I asked him to order a new pump --He said there are none in town-- also thought the cost was about $280 which isn't bad if it hasn't gone up--Lynda

    2. Good morning Lynda. Wow, imagine another animal looking at your baby as it's next feast!! That's scary! Yes, please remember to take a big stick & your bear spray with you, Lopez is far too small to defend herself.
It's too bad you have to cut your grass, can't it wait for your grandson? Or maybe it grows too fast & would be too high when he comes again, just thought of that.
What a relief you must feel when your pilot son leaves one of those countries, it's always good to know he's on his way home again, eh?
Yes, I'm like that - I enjoy being home and really, prefer to stay right here where it's comfy and cozy. I think we get more like that as we get old(er).
Love & Hugs to you, Fred and your fur babies. xoxo

  3. Hi Lynda! I cut grass yesterday too - my grandson did 1/2 of it on Thursday - as I had cataract surgery early that morning....he was supposed to come back Friday morning, but we had bad thunderstorm and the grass was too wet. My patio table blew over and broke the tiles that were on it.....one shutter flew off garage, and part of a big tree is down and across part of my neighbor's property! At any rate, Friday afternoon after Dr. had taken off my eye shield, he said I could resume normal activities - so I cleaned up tree limbs and it was dry enough so I mowed the back two acres as my grandson was no longer available! (Riding mower, of course).....so glad I am finally able to correspond with you!

  4. Always something at your house . . .I bet you can't wait to get into somewhere with less work and critters who are eyeing Lopez. Cold and windy here today but we haven't gotten any of the rains that have been around the area so I have to do some watering today or tomorrow for sure. Heading outside to do some mulching.

  5. Good morning Lynda! Yes, I thought today was Sunday too when I first woke up. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the days. Gosh, that is scary to see the fox. That would be terrible if it attacked Lopez or you! I'm glad your grandson is helping you with the grass! That has to be a hard job on you. Try to get some rest today...hugs 🦋

  6. Ordering another pump, but May as well, might help the house sale. Are you looking at some smaller places, checking prices? Easier to do now, when there is no rush or hurry and you are thinking straight. And now, no blizzards. Here in Texas, there are coyotes, bobcats and hawks that come into yards and grab small animals and leap back out with them. It is a worry, too. I never see a cat walking around here in the neighborhood. They are all kept indoors here. Never thought about this until we moved to Texas. I’m sorry you feel compelled to do the same amount of work as when you were younger. Live a little, please. 😊😊

  7. Definitely sounds like you need a big stick to protect little Lopez!

Wonderful picture of the market from Son #2! Safe flight back to Toronto!

OH, I am content to be home. Gorgeous weather here and able to enjoy the sunshine.

Happy Father’s Day tomorrow to Himself!

  10. Personally, I am very happy to be at home these days and can't think of anywhere I'd rather be. I absolutely love the days when I don't have to go anywhere. Yes, carrying a stick might be a good idea with little Lopez. I remember one morning I went outside with my cat - there was a little fox in the back of the yard and my silly cat took off after it. Guess she really scared the little guy cause he ran like the dickens!

  11. Don't know if a fox would be big enough to go after Lopez. Be careful and take a big stick or something with you on your walks. Can't grass wait until grandson is available. Glad pilot on his way home - that must be a long flight. Stay safe.

  12. Tomorrow I'll be in 'hotel Hospital'. I need a biopsy of my endometrium, and the doctor wants me to stay overnight in hospital because I won't have anyone at home to watch over me. So I have a backpack with my PJs packed and will have a recharge cable for my phone, which has a couple of new books on it. If all goes well, I'll have both books finished by time I get back home. If not, well, I'll be in the right place if things don't go well.

Oh please be safe about that fox. That's pretty scary and I hope you're able to chase him off without frightening poor Lopez too much! Give Himself a hug for Father's Day. Tell him he was and is a great Dad. I agree with Brenda - let the grass grow until the grandson is available. One week or so really won't matter all that much. Grass, like dust ... it just accumulates! YOU have more important things to do. ❤️

  13. I am really happy to be home. Friday my car quit on the way home from my daughter's house...on a 6 lane highway! It had to be towed to a repair shop. Glad i added towing and repair to my insurance! Scary for hours sitting there with rush hour traffic and semis rushing by! Daughter came from her house and brought me home. When i got here and turned on the pc, it wouldn't load! I am on my Kindle tablet again.
All we go through makes life interesting.
Your fox may have just been curious. Hope your walks go well and that no one gets hurt...includding the fox!
Happy Father's Day to Himself and your sons!
