The brother leaves---

Here we are--- myself--Himself--AND--my "young" brother! ----  who--is not here now--sob sob! ---  He has gone to a "fly-in" fishing, resort, northwest of the town of White River.---  Of course I was SO SO SO sad to see him go.
This AM., I was exchanging winter boots and shoes, for summer shoes--Whatta terrible job! I have too much stuff---I have to begin to give a lot of it away--I can never wear all this clothing!

--And if I have so much, think of what the Queen must have! -- You think her seamstresses take her suits  away and remake them into different outfits?--she always looks so good! ---And think of all the hats she must have! Every time you see any of the Royals, they have magnificent hats on!

We turned on the AC--It is very hot and humid outside--and buggy--

I shall "call it a day", as Dad used to say--- I hope that you all are enjoying the weekend.

  1. What do you think the Queen does with all those suits and hats?

  2. Maybe the Queen donates to a resale shop? Well, her “people” would do that for her, Her clothes take up a whole floor in many of her residences, I have read. Just think when she passes, they don’t need to keep everything then! Quite a job, for several people. People like us just fill plastic garbage bags with donations, a truck comes by to pick them up, twice a month. That is what is going on here, in Texas.
I’m sorry your brother could not stay longer with you! Ethelmerz

  3. Speaking of royalty, I always wonder HOW those ladies keep those hats/fascinators on their heads?? They are always at such an angle…
Your brother favors you…I’m so glad you were able to visit!! AND yes, begin to pare your items now…you don’t want to have to pack/move stuff you don’t use or need IF/WHEN the time is right! ❤️ Eissa7

  4. If I had a hired staff to organize my stuff, as the Queen must have... I guess I would not be burdened by the chore of adapting to the changing seasons! Happy Summer, Lynda... and I hope your brother has a great fishing adventure!

  5. What a wonderful group picture! You and your brother resemble each other . . . that’s a GOOD thing! Himself looks good! Yes, it is sad when these treasured visits come to an end, but . . . so nice you got to visit!

    Stay cool.

  6. What a great picture of you all! Happy your brother came to visit. Isn't is sad as we grow older the visits with our siblings become farther apart? And then the pandemic! I miss my family as I know you do too. I have started thinning out my clothes/shoes. As you say, just too much stuff!

    Have a wonderful weekend 😀

  8. Good picture of the three of you. You can see the resemblance between you and your brother. Too bad he couldn't stay longer. Yes, start cleaning out clothes. I didn't start early enough when I had to move from the house to a small rental. Just had to get rid of tons of clothes without thinking enough about it as not enough time. Hope the rest of the weekend is good.

  10. Right now we are purging and donating all of my mother's stuff. Her house was full of knick knacks, clothes and papers, books and dvds. When I come home and look around I end up doing another purge here. Our kids don't want to go thorough all those things. Purging is necessary to make life easier.
