It is so good to have family!

My brother  was here--left this morning--and because I hate to see people leave, I cried-- I watched him walk out to his vehicle  just now, as he is heading North to a fly in fishing camp, I noticed that he looks like our Dad-- He walks like our Dad-- I am still crying. It is so nice to have relatives visit--He lives in New Hampshire so we don't get together often.

Last night we were at Son#1's house, just down the road from us--Here are some pictures from there.

Grand children
and the rest of us--

I wish we all lived closer ---- To-day's world  doesn't seem to allow that--------We have sunshine right now--- enjoy yer day , where ever you are!-

  1. Always so hard when they leave, isn't it? But so glad you HAD the time together... sweet, but too short! Hang in there, pet Beau and Lopez and Sushi and hug Himself... and live and breathe another day!

  3. It is hard to say goodbye especially when the visits are few and far between. You now have some memories of the great time you had while he was there. Have a great day.

  4. Great pictures and you look good! Nice to have your brother visit although he wasn't there long. At least you were able to get together. It's supposed to be nice for most of the weekend so enjoy it. Take care and smile!

  5. It's so hard when family lives far away. My middle daughter and her family are 1200 miles from us. It's challenging for them to come here and the last time we were able to go there was fall 2018. They did come last year for a few days but it's never long enough. I miss those kids so very much! My granddaughter is turning 16 this year and I barely recognize her anymore!

  6. Beautiful pics of family…so glad you were able to spend time together!
It is always difficult for me to part with people that I care about, who live far away…you are not alone with your sadness. I recently saw my brother whom I had not seen for 6 years…it was a great visit BUT who knows when we’ll next be together…bittersweet, huh?! ❤️Eissa7

  7. It's great you HAVE family, and your son is just down the road, you say, and I imagine you can all get together any time. How many people can say that? Too bad your brother couldn't visit longer, though. I know how it feels. The only person we had, growing up, who came to visit, was my beloved grandmother. She lived where I live now, only about 45 min away. BUT it was just my mom and me, day in, day out. Now, I only have one cousin, and that's all the family I have left. She lives back in Columbus, where I grew up and where I lived up until 3 yrs ago. I do get to see her though at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I guess all this is good, as I've learned to be happy with my own company, for the most part.

  8. I only had 2 siblings - a younger sister and a younger brother. My brother passed away at 62 a few years ago and ny sister passed last year at 70. You are lucky you still have your brother to visit with you! I miss my family as my mom passed two years ago and my dad 30 years ago. I feel like an orphan. So thankful for my 4 kids and their families. My youngest son is coming next week with his family. They live in CA and I live in IL! They are staying for 2 weeks! I am so excited! It will be nice to have someone to cook for and eat with, etc. I know my other 3 kids and their families will be spending lots of time here with their CA brother! It's being with the ones you love that makes for a happy heart!
