I Just Wanna Be With You

There's a time to part and a time to meet,

There's a time to sleep and a time to eat,

There's a time to work and a time to play,

There's a time to sing and a time to pray,

There's a time that's glad and a time that's blue,

There's a time to plan and a time to do!

There's a time to grin and show your grit......

But, there never was a time to quit.

I read the above and thought it very "timely" and true-----There are days that I feel that I will never make it to see another day, but---I always do, and there are so many days that are good--that are special---Yesterday, I was driving into town and  was thinking how good I felt--Himself got to the dentist and  everything seemed to fit into the day--

I had a text from my younger brother yesterday, telling us that he will be coming for a visit near the end of this month. How wonderful! He lives in New Hampshire and will be in this area to do some fishing. --There are some beautiful lodges north of here and I hope his fishing buddies will stay at one in particular-- There is also a huge Provincial Park  on 4 lakes. When ever we drive up there, we usually see Moose and/or a Bear---Lotza people from town here Kayak along the little white river , north of town--It will be so nice to see  family-- (my brother!)-It has been a long time ---

This is an old picture of myself with Himself-- when I was  just starting to  Spark--  weighing 217 pounds--  It looks so funny now---  almost 40 pounds lighter --I never thought I could lose the weight----  Spark was a weight loss site--   free---  and it taught me so much about my eating habits--plus--the best part of all, was all the people I met  and still communicate with quite a few-

It' is a lovely day--  buggy--but, sunny and warm-- Hopefully I can get some grass cut before  I go for "The Hair"--

I just wanted to share some thoughts with y'all! --  Hugs--Enjoy the day, where ever yu live!

  2. So nice to hear that your brother is coming for a visit. I missed Spark at first but then I realized I was spending way to much time on the computer and not enough moving. I have lost about 10 lbs since I quit Sparking. Glad you are here and cheering us along.

  3. That’s great you got Fred to the dentist!

That’s a spirit lifter that you have a visit from your brother later this month! You’ll have a wonderful time.

Kudos on releasing almost 40 lbs. since you had started on Spark. I miss Sparks very much! Yes most of all, I miss the people on Sparks, but luckily, have found a way to keep in touch with YOU!

Have a wonderful time being pampered getting the hairs cut!

  5. So happy that you will see your brother later on this month. Lucky you! I’ve forgotten about Spark, sometimes a part of their new money-making scheme emails as if they need to still get folks to join, not doing as well as they had thought. Companies don’t want to pay for their expertise after all. Quite a few have lost weight, after Spark stopped, the daily reading there seems to be taken as nagging, and nagging does not help. Enjoy your day today! Ethelmerz

  8. Yes, sometimes it's good to remember that we do have some great days! I am so ready for my surgery - a little over 2 weeks left to wait. Not looking forward to the long recovery period but life without pain will be a huge blessing.

  10. We love your thoughts, Lynda.
It's not too buggy here yet. I will say, though, that near dusk when the blood suckers (my mama's word for mosquitoes) come out...I stay in!
You accomplish a lot! I know it's tiring, hard to find "me" time, too...but it's very satisfying to cross things off your list...even if the list is in your head!
Here's another on on time by Henry Van Dyke:
    Time is
Too slow for those who wait,
Too swift for those who fear,
Too long for those who grieve,
Too short for those who rejoice,
    But for those who love,
    Time is eternity.
I have a beautiful, bit plaque of that on my wall.

  15. I really miss Spark too. It was a great place to meet with friends. Blogger is nice and so is Facebook but it just doesn't have the closeness and goodies that Spark had.
