If you could live yer life again--

We have sunshine---no rain--yet--  and it looks like this will be an amazing day!
I did get to the hair Lady yesterday and it is amazing how good one feels after a bit of colour and just to get out of the house here. It revives one! ----In the above picture, yu can see Sushi's cat tree---
Sushi, the cat who came in from the cold, many moons ago, in minus 30C weather--who lived under our bed for 3 mos., who was  a "feral" kitten, and who spends most of her life upstairs, always is so happy to see me go to bed each night. She comes in  many times, each night, jumps up on our bed, and walks across himself, to lay on my chest and purrs--And if I don't hear her plodding across the bed, she will get above my head, and pull my hair until I wake up to pat her! She must be about 6 yrs old now--She has turned into a very nice cat!---- I think she was born at the boat landing--her Mom tossed out, pregnant-- We figure she was about 6 most old when we trapped her and --- brought her inside!

Now I don't know why I got off on all that--

I enjoyed reading all the comments yesterday on yesterday's blog--Our lives ( women) are so similar-- busy--looking after family members, trying  to stay healthy--and trying to deal with our everyday  whatever--If I had my life to live over, I wonder what I would've done differently when I was younger--I probably would've saved more money--LOLOL-- I still would've gone into nursing, altho while I was a nurse, I did not like dealing with sick people--perhaps I might've become a Doctor-- gone into medicine instead----How might you have changed something in yer life , if you could live it again--a question I'm asking you all?--

I hear Lopez needs me--  I best get offa here- Enjoy this day-- Lord love a Duck--We are alive!

  1. Yeah . . . we are in the same position. Beautiful sunshine yesterday and in the 70’s. Today the sun is out and it’s pretty, but supposed to be stormy by the afternoon. Guess we’ll have to do our outside chores this morning!

So happy that you got pampered! YOU deserve it.

Awwwww, Sushi looks so regal and giving that “don’t move me from here, or else” look! Suchi is a beautiful girl! And LUCKY!

LOL! There’s no doubt in my mind that I’d become a nurse again if I had it to do over. Most definitely. The knowledge has paid off so often in this lifetime! And I’ve also met so many interesting people.

Here’s to a great day! And it’s FriYaY!

  3. Like so many others of our generation, I don't think I'd change anything about my earlier life. Even the "not so great" choices led to learning things I needed to learn. Not sure I'd want to "test out" of any of the learning, as in the process it taught me to be less judgmental of others. Hardship can make one kinder, or it could make one harder... I hope that whatever hardships I *did* have (and I have to confess they seem few at this point in my life) it has made me kinder!

  4. I think I would have been a truck driver and seen the country that way, instead of getting married. I wanted to be a airline stewardess but was too short...ha........I think things happen the way God wants them too.

  5. Glad you had your hair done, makes you feel better. Your cat gives you good feelings and fun. Thankful for that. We have dangerous heat wave starting here in this part of Texas, and bad smog in the air. Heat index gong up. Sucks. But hoping Lady Luck stays with us, crossing fingers, as good as praying. Take care.

  6. I love that saying at the bottom about women and it's so true. Your hair looks great and Sushi looks very contented. It's a nice day here today but the weekend is going to be kind of rainy.

  7. I'd like to say that I would have listened to my mother and NOT married my ex-husband but he is the father of my 5 wonderful children. I wouldn't give that up for anything. But I do think I would have finish college right away, perhaps gotten married a bit later (I was only 20 - but a late bloomer at that time). But now I have a great husband who loves me AND my children so it's a win in the end!

  8. Lynda, you and your hair look GREAT!
Good to see Sushi. Shes one lucky kitty. Shes very pretty
I think life unfolds as its supposed to. I've made some bad choices but did learn not to repeat them. The tough times made me more compassionate and taught me to really count my blessings.
Big heat wave headed our way.
    Have a blessed day.

  9. Hi Lynda! I thought I had found a way to reply to your blogs....but it never worked except the first time many months ago....but I have read your blogs faithfully every day! Today, my son #1 was here and I asked him to help me figure out why I could not reply to any of your blogs.....I don't know what he did, but woohoo, I can finally let you know that I am still here with you from our SparkPeople friendship! Great to see Sushi - she looks good! I still have my two rescue kitties - Mimi and Marley. They are 2 years old already. I did not want them, but they have been a blessing after losing me husband of 50 years! I am so happy that I can once again make contact with you!

  10. If I had to do it all again, I would still be a nurse! However, I would have gone back to school sooner to get my Master’s degree to become a Nurse Practitioner! As of this spring, I have been a nurse 45 years and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner 25 years and still working full time! We women are a tough lot, for sure! And I am pretty sure I would marry the same man! We just celebrated our 43rd anniversary and 49th Anniversary of meeting in college!

  11. Every time that I look back and think of changing anything in my life I see how it would affect so much good that there is not much I would change. I think I would only wish to have grown in my faith deeper and sooner but other than that - good and bad it was all me.

  12. I don't know if I would have done things different. Oh maybe I would have eaten healthier and not have gained so much weight but, I guess I wouldn't have changed anything. It was and still is a learning experince.

  13. That last quote was either by or to Winnie the Poo.
Love your kitty. Reminds me of the one I lost about 5 1/2 years ago to kidney disease. I am glad you rescued him.
Love having a pet. Hope I will never have to do without again. At various times in my life I have had dog, cat, gerbil (never more than 1 of each at a time) and many mice...in cages. They make great pets, but don't let a male and female together!
Your hair looks lovely. I have thought about coloring mine again. Now it's natural, almost dark brown but with gray and reddish blond highlights.
