It is early-- I have a few minutes as it's too dark to let the "boys" (as in dogs)-out--It is MINUS 2 Celsius -Lord love a Duck! The seasons, they are a-changing--
Yesterday, I took Himself to have his feet done-- plus the nails--and we threw in a surprise haircut- He loved all the pampering--The Ladies in the salon made a huge fuss over him --mainly because of his age--
I really was so proud of him to have this done--and he looks like he is part of the world! Here is the finished product. It is "dark as the Ace of spades" outside right now-- (Mom's expression again!)_To-day is MY hair day-- plus I have a few errands to run this afternoon.
I hear Lopez wanting out of his crate--He sleeps in a large crate ( bestowed to us by Son #4 and wife)-right beside my bed)_ Beau is already up- I must report that Lopez had a VERY good day yesterday--did not chew my hand--nor did he swallow too much of the rug--and he seems to nearly do all bis business outside-- still chews on Beau's legs tho- He is a handful, but-- yesterday was a pretty good day for him. (I just might keep him---Of course I will keep him-- but there are moments---)
I have never given a dog away once they move in--It mixes them up and I believe thy are never the same--AND_I believe I CAN train this guy--in time!)_It is a new day--- Here we go! --- Hugs to yu all-- and remember to keep yer sense of humour---
Life is good. Glad you told Himself the hair will grow... that's the best attitude when one thinks it's "too short". He looks awesome, BTW, and now on hair day, you'll be reminded that you do, too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the Thanksgiving plans have gelled, and you'll be surrounded by family. Have a great TODAY!
Well Barb-- Life is different right now isn't it--but--we are in it-- good thing! Lynda
DeleteGreat that Fred got pampered yesterday. He looks great. Yes, his hair will grow.
ReplyDeleteAwesome that the kids will handle Thanksgiving and you only have to worry about pies. Yay. Too bad daughter can't be there but thats how it goes.
Lopez...well...he's more than I'd tackle. You are very patient.. Good Lopez found you.
Stay positive.
Enjoy your hair day.

Everyone needs to be pampered once in awhile, it really makes you feel special. Your Thanksgiving sounds like it will be a great time with so many family members there. Maybe you could skpe those that aren't there and wish them Happy Thanksgiving too.
ReplyDeleteI always tell my hairdresser I don't really care if she cuts too much because it will always grow back . . . today is my haircut day too. I go every 5-6 weeks for a cut and once a year for some Summer like highlights. I have some errands to run today too after my cut. The granddaughter (age 7) is coming for an over night tomorrow night. I need some chicken nuggets and fries for dinner because that is what she wants. . . .the things we do for the grands . . .and I only have one.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you about never giving a dog away. They are a huge commitment. My chewinnie, that I got about the time you got Lopez, is a yapping little thing, that barks at the TV all the time, otherwise she’s pretty good. Like you, I’m used to big dogs, so it’s been an adjustment.
ReplyDeleteHimself looks great. He deserves a little pampering as I’m sure he’s confused over what’s going on with him too. Stay strong!
So good that your Thanksgiving plans are set and the pressure is off of you! I know you will bake your family some delicious pies! Glad to hear that Fred liked being pampered. I think we all deserve that once in a while! Been thinking about getting a massage - just returned last week from a two week trip to Italy that was absolutely awesome! We walked 6 to 10 miles every day! Saw lots of beautiful things in several cities! But I am struggling to get back to my routines. Guess it is "jet lag" - and thus the thoughts of a massage sound good! Happy hair day to you!
ReplyDeleteOh Himself looks downright handsome! S nice he had his pampering and he liked it! Now hope you enjoy YOUR pampering today!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, so wonderful that Thanksgiving plans worked out so well. Can’t believe it’s that time of the year already!
That’s a good boy, Lopez! Keep having those good days! Be nice to Mama and Beau!
Definitely a sense of humor helps us navigate those waters when we really don’t give a . . . ship. LOVE that MEME.
Hugs

I'm so glad himself was able to get a nice pampering. My husband got his hair cut last week and now he complains that his ears are cold. It's also so nice that most of your family will be together for the Canadian Thanksgiving, and that you won't have to prepare all the food. I have volunteered to host my family again this year but am going to ask the kids to each bring a dish so I'm not in the kitchen all day for a week!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you have your hair day, and some errands to deal with. Himself looks better, fresher with shorter hair. Easier to not have so much hair to wash! Glad it’s done. I’m still ordering groceries, no car, and no time wasted by others on a weekend to take me! Easier all the way around. Happy your Thanksgiving will be easier, as it should be! Take care. Ethelmerz
ReplyDeleteHimself looks great. And your hair done today! Lucky you. Still chopping at my gangs and sides by my face...to remove the 'wings.'
ReplyDeleteYour Thanksgiving plans sound great. Hope my daughter will invite me to their house 45 minutes away. Her husband, my son-in-law is having surgery today on the foot that has been having issues for a couple years now.
Of course you will keep Lopez! I am sure he has won his way into your heart.
I always pray for anyone involved in the war along with all the world leaders. {{{HUGS}}}
Himself looks good and you were right to tall him it will grow again. Sounds like Thanksgiving is all worked out and others are doing most of the work and hosting. A lot less for you to worry about. Glad Lopez is behaving better - hope it lasts. Enjoy your hair day,
ReplyDeleteHimself looks great...tell him we all said so...hope you get your hair done today and have a terrific weekend.
