We are stronger than we seem!

It is a new day--We have sun--the AC is on however as it is supposed to get hot later on in the day--Lopez and I hoofed it to the highway and back---There was a pheasant which flew up , right in front of us-- A pheasant resembles  a chicken---- and we usually only see them in the fall--beside the road-they always seem to me ,to be kinda stupid --like they fly into windows etc--

Son#3 appeared yesterday--had sold our Honda snowblower---I have purchased an EGO battery operated snowblower--hoping that I can handle it myself-with a little help from Son#1, who now lives close by. We have a battery EGO lawn mower which I love--no gas--battery operated-- and it is light and easy to use. Himself and I filled 2 Jerry cans with Gasoline , for the generator, yesterday--$50 a can, to fill one!---So, we are trying very hard to eliminate gasoline when we can-- help out the budget , which takes some conniving, to keep it balanced--

I like the above--  Good friends are like STARS--always there when need be--- People like yourselves--There are so many times--just talking to you all, and reading your responses---AND--knowing that WE are all trying to cope in so many ways-seeing that we are so alike---  well, you  make my day--and I thank you all--

So, I am offa here-- I see that it is Son#4's Birthday-- Son #2 just texted me to let me know-- "Keep yer chin up"--as Dad used to say--Make to-day a great day!-We really are "stronger than we seem!

  1. Good morning! We love our EGO snowblower! You will too. Happy Birthday to your son. Hope Lopez has been acting better. Went through the same with one of our yorkies but all turned out so well. Almost got rid of her a few years ago. So glad we hung in there because she is pure sweetness now! There is hope, I promise. Some just take a bit to grow up, like some adults. Lol Have a great day!:)

  2. I bought an ego lawnmower for our daughter when she bought her new home (house warming project) . . . she loves it. I got myself a ego weed wacker this year ( it has an auto fill spool for re loading line) and we are looking at the chainsaw for next year. Really like their products.

  3. It's cloudy and rainy here, on and off anyway. The clouds will stay.
Fall is in the air. Instead of the humidity making it feel warm and muggy, it makes the air feel chilly...damp. Funny what a few week's difference can make in how it makes us feel.
I applaud you for your preparation for the winter. The snow blower, the gas for the generator...and am so glad I don't need to do that. However, the people that plow our lot pile snow around the cars so we have to shovel behind them and in between. Hard cuz...where do we put the snow we shoveled? Now and then we're told to move our cars to a different lot so they can plow everything.
Everyone here is watching the Royal family coverage on tv. The world mourns...yet she is happy, feeling no pain and ready to move on.
Lopez can walk quite a way, huh? Guess Beau runs around on his own.
Have a wonderful day...all of you and a blessed Sunday (Funday)

  4. Glad the AC is working. Yes, we have pheasants around here, too, and they are indeed not the smartest bird on the block!

Glad you have a snow blower you can handle. It is for sure a challenge to curtail gas consumption but trying our best, too.

    Happy birthday to Son #4!

  5. Happy Birthday to Son #4. Yes, we are all just trying to do our best every day that we have. We had rain all day yesterday, well off and on, but now it's really cooled down. This is expected to stay for a few days - I love this kind of weather. But hot again by the middle of the week!

  6. Happy birthday to son #4. Hope your new snowblower works well but that it's a long time before you need to use it! It is warmer today so we need to enjoy it while we can. Supposed to rain the beginning of the week. Love all the sayings today. Have a good day.
